Buyer beware
Beware! When driving in rainy conditions you can’t bloody see out the windscreen. The angle of the windscreen holds the water even when you have the highest speed working. It’s a new car with new windscreen wipers.
After owning lots of cars this is far the worst.
Absolute nightmare to drive in the wet. Death trap
Love to hear from other owners if they experienced the same problem

LOVE my New Car!
Parkland Mazda, W.A. were the great people who sold me my first New Car last week. I absolutely LOVE this Car, and can't believe its mine, its such a pleasure to drive - very economical, very light on the steering and whisper quiet. A/C and Sound is great, along with the stylish interior. Turbo Diesel is also very economical and highly recommended. I recommend this Car thoroughly - you won't be sorry you chose it! Thanks Parkland Mazda.

Great car
Use this car every day. Typical Mazda no issues. Not a race car but looks great and goes well. Service is expensive at a dealer, but its worth it knowing you will have trouble free driving for years to come. Love the car and will buy Mazda again for sure.

Best car I’ve ever owned!
We use this car for family transport mainly. Often driving several hours to the county and back. We chose to do capped servicing with Mazda. I can’t fault this car. It’s been brilliant and the service at Mazda fantastic. I think we will probably need to upgrade to the cx9 when we have a second car.

THE BEST!
Car for everyday commuting and weekend trips with the family and dog. No issues so far. A lovely upgrade with a navman, entertainment options, dashboard screen and controls in the mid section. The controls are a great change to the normal layout as it is less distracting and closer to arms length.

Issue with navigation system in Mazda's
We found the Navigation System does not work properly with Mazda cars. We have a Mazda CS 6 Sedan as well and have the same issues. We have to use our mobile phone navigation instead. The Navigation system does not connected and can be an issue if you travel without a mobile phone.

Could not fault car had for 12months
This car is so reliable never missed a beat and fuel consumption is great I fill up once a fortnight at 70 dollars, Mazda has outdone themselves the transition is smooth and very quite first services are capped so that’s always a plus, long trips are comfortable for adults and children.

Disappointing fuel consumption
I have purchased CX-5 Maxx Sport FWD 2.0 Litre engine car before 3 months from an authorised Mazda dealer.
My odometer is at 3800+ Km. During this period, my petrol consumption never fell below 11.5 L/100KM even when driving in highways. The advertised Urban rate is 8.1L/100KM. The fuel consumption of this little engine is just crazy ( I barely use the aircon or the heater).
In addition to this, the exhaust white smoke is excessive in comparison with any other car that I have seen or driven before (during hot or cold weather). Needless ...Read more
to say that the exhaust white smoke is very dense on a cold start. If you ever consider purchasing this car, never go for the 2.0 Litre engine. It is way worse than what you can imagine. It is too weak and it works really hard to give you a day-to-day decent drive. The car infotainment system flickers intermittently and the car is just 3 months old. The problem with intermittent issues is that it is difficult to show. I have to live with it till it breaks for good.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Mazda’s CX-5 Akera is a pleasure to drive and maintain...
The best SUV i have bought yet. Its been over 6 months, runs like a breeze...comfortable and smooth ride, easy steering control, enough power for city drive and perfect grunt with turbo on long drives, love the package with all features in the top model, interior is sleek and non-plastic so feels quieter and excellent electronics. The only drawback, it does not have a Traffic update system in the Nav, needs to connect to internet via phone hotspot before it gives you that feature. And that's unlike many other car makes which connect with Suna Traffic via Radio. Barring that short-coming i absolutely love my CX-5 and strongly recommend people to test drive one as its easy and very silent to ride in n drive.

Smooth driving and good fuel economy
Purchased brand new 2017 Mazda CX-5 in the deep crystal blue, I really love the colour and dark interior. I’m super satisfied with the car. The only thing I hate is the chrome strip highlighting the air vents, I don’t understand why anyone would highlight and air vent, it looks tacky. Upgraded to the Maxx Sport which I thought was great for the price. Smooth handling and great fuel economy. Great family car.

Love it
Great car! The boot fits our pram with room for shopping. Beautiful interior, drives really nicely and has a really nice looking exterior. Mazda service is also really good.
It does show dust in the dark grey colour though and if we had to fit 3 car seats in the back it would be a struggle.

Amazing, drives like a dream!
This car is a brilliant family car (dogs included) with amazing space! Big car space, drives like a small car. Incredibly reliable we have covered over 20,000kms in the 8 months of having the car and it has been amazing. The sky active technology is impressive and updated at each service. Highly recommend!

A beauty inside and out
This is an affordable mid sized SUV with a great look. Spacious, sleek and functional interior. Fits a car seat nicely with room for 2 adult occupants spaciously. Impressive technology with active heads up display with built in GPS and speed limit detector. I’m very very impressed with this car.

Top in it's category!
Mazda has done an excellent job with it's second generation CX-5. Everything has been updated top to bottom. Upgrading from 2014 model to this has given me the chance to compare the two generations and feel the difference throughout.
It is in fact a new car. CX-5 was a brilliant car but the 2nd generation is almost a premium CUV with same price tag. The Akera badge can be compared with Audi or BMW mid range CUVs.
Interior and exterior details are well thought out and the material used specifically on the interior is really good.
I absolutely love the car and enjoy it everytime I drive it.
Purchased in March 2021 for A$48,600.00.

Lexus cross shop
CX-5 Diesel Akera:
I was comparing with lexus NX.
CX-5 was way cheaper and I found NX too prolific inside / origami project out, perched on an aging Rav-4 chassis, pass.
Penny pinching:
Misses out on (zoom zoom ??) paddle shifters.
No shopping hooks - in an SUV
No coin drawer.
No light in my glove-box, foot-wells or any doors for that matter!!

Great car with free upgrades deal
We have purchased this car during the Christmas sales and got the free upgrade deal. It is a medium size SUV that will fit the family and plenty of legroom for all the seats. The most frequently used great little features of the car are the intelligent control, bluetooth music streaming, reverse camera and dashboard, engine noise is minimal and its fuel-efficiency makes the running cost low (make sure you get a package deal with the car dealer to obtain the above inclusion!)

Outstanding car, sensors really useful
Bought a new CX-5 touring turbo diesel in December 2017 and have done 2k's. This car is really smooth with plenty of power to climb and accelerate. I love the rear camera with sensors that detect cross traffic, blind spot sensor, and front sensors that detect pedestrians. All this makes me a safer driver and helps me park the car in tight spaces. I need to spend some time understanding the navigation although my wife has read the manual and has figured this out, we are also not sure how to get voice commands to do more than basic navigation like navigate home. The turbo diesel got about 6.3L/100KM on long distance driving and 7.5 in the city. Outstanding vehicle, drives great, very comfortable I am very happy with this purchase.

SUV of the year
Stylish design and very user friendly. Lots of technology such as the awesome active driving display which helps you to know the road’s speed limit. It also displays the GPS. Very quiet and smooth drive. Very fuel efficient and good pick up. Big boot space and comfortable interior. Best SUV ever.

Great, but the passenger seat height cannot be adjusted
It is the quietest car I've ever driven, handling and fuel usage is fine. I dislike how the front passenger seat height cannot be adjusted, sometimes I struggle to stay on the chair because my feat barely touches the ground. The fuel is fine, I only need to refill once a week, I drive 50 minutes each weekday, back and forth to work. Sometimes 400 km drives on weekends to visit parents.
