    Essential for breast feeding

    published

Struggled with manual for 1st 6 weeks, I love this machine used it daily for following 6 months. Really is must have for breast feeding, so time efficient and comfortable. Spare parts available every where. Battery power works wonderful and compact for travel. Easy to clean and assemble. Would strongly consider upgrade for next baby if can afford.
    Great value, easy to use.

    Small and efficient

    published

I liked being able to use this either battery or mains. It is quite noisy but it is small, easy to use, easy to clean, and works well. I though the pumps with cushioning on the cup would be more comfortable or effective but neither were true - this was my favourite pump of three different brands.
    Effective. Battery powered.

my manual pump was better than this one

    published

It was a waste of money because my manual pump from another company was much better. Medela refused to refund me. I found it noisy and inefficient. I strongly recommend you do not buy it. I heard other people praising medela so I thought I should buy it but was very disappointed.

Hand pump was faster and quiet and half the price.

Great breast pump that gets the job done

    published

This was my savior when I had my babies. I used it quite often and it never let me down, also it was very simple to use. It gave plenty of suction to draw the milk out and I found it quite comfortable to use. It has lasted through 2 of my babies and I gave it to my friend who has used it for 3 babies and will soon use it with her 4th and even after that I am sure it will still be reliable to whoever needs it next.
    Inexpensive, reliable, works really well.

this was a breastfeeding saver my bubba was tongue tie and have to feed with syringe cause he causen't suck properly. after a bit we move onto a breastshield and he was fine but this save us from going to bottled formal. super easy to ease great suction sometimes too good hehe.
great suction and easy to use
    $$$ but was definitely needed

great pump for its price. good for occasional use. a little noisy

    published

this is the first pump i have used. once i got used to the pump i found it comfortable. to get a good letdown i would start on the lowest setting once i letdown i would crank it up to the highest setting this method worked well for me. when using the batteries the suction is very low so i recommend to use the ac adapter when ever possible. its is very noisy and not as gentle in comparison to the medela swing (if you can afford the swing it is well worth the money). i bought mine of ebay and i will be reselling them when im finished so in the end it doesnt cost that much.
good price for what it does, easy to clean, portable.
noisy, not much suction when using batteries.

    Great and very compact!

I have found this pump is very efficient at expressing milk and love the convienience of mains or battery power. It is very comfortable (the breast shield comes in 5 different sizes, so it does not assume we are all the same!!) and compact for travelling. I use the pump 2 or 3 times per week when I'm away from my 2 month old.
Small, quick, simple to use and adjust for comfort.

Fine for occasional use if you are on a budget but when you need a decent supply it couldnt keep up - I was getting only small amounts as is sucked the tip of my nipple. I paid $140 and I ended up buying the Avent Electric and I'm much happier and with sale price it only cost another $30 than this one did!
Cheap - but you get what you pay for. Would be fine if you are stay at home mum and dont need much milk expressed. And only worth it if you can find it much less than RRP.
Feels cheap when comparing to other brands. Very lightweight cheap plastic feel. Quite painful to express and variable suction setting a crappy little dial which is useless on anything less than the higest setting.

    Nothing special

    published

I express quite frequently and purchased this as I needed one urgently as my previous one broke.

I found that in comparison to other pumps that I have owned, this one wasn't very good. For one, it is ridiculously noisy (which doesn't go down well when your partner is trying to sleep or watch tv). Secondly, I couldn't get much milk with this pump as you cannot adjust the cycles to suit your let down. I also found that the breast shield was uncomfortable.
You can use it with batteries which is convenient.
Loud, uncomfortable, no cycle speed adjustment

I used this this product maybe more than any other mom, since my baby dont like to attached with me since he was 10 days, then I try to express my milk for him, since then I just go for it...as long as he take my breastmikk I dont really care what other people said about it. I pump 6-7 times a day to feed my baby until now (he is almost 4months) and my milk supply is amazing.
reable, do the job, very gentle, very simple

I loved my electric pump to express when i needed to, a hand pump just didnt do it properly for me, think it was because i was low on milk but with this one it was so easy and quick to pump the milk. Would highly reccomend this one to new mums who was to express.
Easy to use and much better then a hand one.
    its noisy, thats all!!!!

If you don't mind the noise and you're very careful with it, its fine. It was a bit of a pain to use it with the cord, much easier to use it with the batteries. It would be nice if they made it rechargeable so that you didn't have to keep replacing the batteries. I switched to the Harmony and found that much better.
Efficient, easy to clean, the bottles are nice (bpa free)
It was sooo noisy! Made me feel self conscious if anyone was around, I didn't want to use it. My toddler played with it and dropped it on the ground, and it immediately broke, the inside parts were cheap.

Works for some apparently, not for us at all. I can see why a lot of parents go to formula so early. These companies made their money from us.
    Comes in a box
My partner tried it and it was painful for her even on the slowest setting. Very VERY noisy. Only expressed 10 ml of milk. The plastic is to hard and not flexible. The product would be much better if the plastic was softer. We have bought 2 brand ($330 total) in 3 weeks. The other brand came with a manual pump which is better than nothing. Gets the first 60ml at least.

    Does The Job

    published

I bought this as a first time Mum thinking I wouldn't use it very often, only if i needed to go out & have bub minded. However i have used it at least once a day since she was born 8 months ago & it is still working as good as the first time I used it.
There were days early on where it was used 6 times a day to bring on my supply & also when i had mastitis & it hasn't missed a beat.
I still use it every night before i go to bed as bub now sleeps from 7pm to 7am.
This is an inexpensive pump ($120 at my local chemist) that is supposed to be only for occasional use so it has certainly done its job thats for sure!
Not too expensive, reliable, real little workhorse.

    Works well, but noisy

    published

Used it for a few days initially when baby was born, and found it a bit noisy and less effective than the hospital grade pump, but then perhaps lots of home pumps would have that issue. Used it again at three months when baby refused to feed from one side a few times in a row, and was a great relief then to relieve the pressure, but also worked really well, perhaps due to either engorgement or just milk having come in properly by this stage. Will use again when want to go out, or if return to work, though with the noise, it won't exactly mean expressing would be very private!
Not as expensive as some. Works.
    Fiddly pressure control dial. Noisy.

I love this product as it is easy to use, it is light weight. You can adjust the pump until you feel comfortable. Can bring it with you for travelling as it can be powered with battery. The only thing is the motor is loud. Sometimes I have to pump at midnight when it is very quiet and the motor even sounds louder. When you need to clean it sometimes it could be a bit hard to take off the little part inside as it attached to it very tight.
It is light weight. Small so you can keep it in you bag. It can be powered with battery.

This unit was terrible! Fortunately Id only borrowed the unit and later went a bought a Cherub pump for about $50 less which worked a treat. I suggest not wasting your money on this overpriced hunk of plastic.
It looks nice and came in nice packaging
VERY uncomfortable. This was a painful pump for me. Also very noisy and for the price a complete ripoff.

I'm not aware of it being chargeable. You keep it plugged in for constant power, or you place batteries inside for cordless/travel use and replace batteries when they are flat.

I personally have not had to do this but I went to the medela website and they say they make 5 different size shields. Hope this helps :)
