I have been taking 2 shakes per day, meal as recommended in the evening, drinking 2 L water and walking 8,000 to 10,000 steps per day. Losing weight but constipation is a real problem. 3 laxative tabs per day do nothing and eating a 10 prunes works but too many carbs and then nothing until the next purge!! This is not good. Is it the type of fibre in the shakes causing this??

I been on vita diet for 2 wees and only lost a kg, my sticks shows im in ketosi, drink lots of water do at least 10000 steps daily, what am i doing wrong? 2 shakes a day plus lots of salads and the allowed meat but sometimes extra edam cheese for a snack.

The Vita Diet is recommended for type 2 non insulin dependant diabetics, The lactose which is found naturally in milk is a low GI carbohydrate.Check the VitaDiet1 Facebook for some great results for diabetics.

Hi, am starting back on Vita diet, had previously lost 50 kilos on this program, 2 years later gave put on 15 kilos, am now sitting on 85 kg, this is my question, could I loose at least 8_10 kilos in 8 weeks on this program the second time around? I am having a shake for breakfast, 2 snack bars at lunchtime and sometimes 2 bars for dinner. I also have a slice of cheese through the day, is this ok.

Most people on the Vita Diet
lose about 3kgs in their first week and then about a kg a week after that. Have you got the Dr's Guide or the usage guide? We suggest you have at least one main meal with proteins and fresh vegetables in addition to the shakes or bars.

Sorry to say I will not take any more as been on vita shakes now for 6 wks lost 1 kilo eat your bars eat plenty of good food as I do not like junk food so why havnt I lost more weight. I walk 30 mins a day, go to a real strenuous work out twice a week.

Yes Gaynor you can have the snack bar as a snack. Or alternatively you could have an egg for breakfast a snack bar for mid morning, a shake or soup for lunch and a snack bar mid afternoon as two snack bars make up a meal replacement. Your main meal will include meat, fish, chicken and vegetables from the suggested list.

When I first started this program, even though not recommended, I often had replaced 3 meals a day with products, you feel hungry doing this for a couple of weeks, but Gee, loose a ton of weight.

The best advice is found in the Dr's book and also the usage guide brochure. If you stick to the suggested foods and have two shakes, soups or bars a day you should do very well.

How much weight are you able to loose in 12 weeks? If you have a shake for breakfast, 2 snack bars for lunch and your 100 grms protein and green veg for dinner, plus daily walks.

I've been on the vita diet for 4 days and I am so grumpy; feel great but am grumpy. I also have periods of light headedness and a strange tingling feeling vibrating through my body. I have the odd period of hunger but overall I feel great and for a real foodie, I'm not particularly struggling with not putting food in my mouth which is awesome, but I am wondering about the grumpiness and weird feeling, is it part of it?

Hi, I am not sure that I was grumpy. I did feel odd for the first 3 days but think that is normal according to the vita diet book. If you feel light headed drink more water and you might need to chew gum as per the book. I found chewing gum helped at the beginning until your body gets used to the shakes and less and healthier food. I took the tingling feeling (which still happens even after losing 28kgs) as the fat being eaten. My legs especially have reduced in size and that is where the tingling mainly happens now. Remember you can eat as many vegetables (within the list) as you like with your meal. Also try your main meal at lunchtime as this works for me in the weekends etc. Good Luck.
