Great Car
I use my car everyday driving to work, I have owned many different cars in my time, but nothing is like Mercedes. The Drive is very very smooth, the car is sturdy and has great turning circle. I would recommend this car, will probably go for an E-class next car.

Not what you expect from Mercedes badge and a $77k price tag
It is our first Merc experience and ownership, and we are left out of pocket and disappointed overall.
Pros: diesel motor is very efficient, as long as you don’t drive aggressively. Expect about 8~11Lts per 100km depending on your driving habits and use of the Stop/start function, which can be a nuisance in heavy traffic. The 500nm of torque is amazing and can be testing on the gearbox. Road handling is tight and precise. Ride is great, expect on rough roads. Cabin space is adequate but can be a little tight in the rear. Instrumentation and eq...Read more

C-Class-Good German engineering, rather bad service in Perth from two agents, DIY recommended!
Hi,
C220 CDI W204 2007 model bought second-hand with 120,000km. Found the following servicing problems:
1. Osborne Park did not change the fuel filter at 60,000km, nor Bentley at 120,000km, both items are in the service booklet. The fuel filter was cut open and shows obvious contaminations, it was still the original.
2. Osborne Park did not change the automatic transmission oil and filter at 60,000 and Bentley likewise not at 120,000km. The oil was flushed by myself and was black and stank, not a good sign.
3. The front brake rotors were c...Read more

Great Car but DONT TRUST MERCEDES BENZ Warranty and Servicing
I write this to warn all parties out there toget everything in writing. Failed to honor our servicing despite massive problems in 3 years. Now, a $3k servicing bill and Mercedes are "non responsive". We will take it further but please please ask questions so you are not like us.

Run flat tyres
I purchased the car as a demo in 2016 and I have replaced the tyres twice. The life of run flat tyres is less than 20,000 klms in my case and I believe more publicity needs to be given to this major deficit in an otherwise beautiful car. I believe many others drivers on run flat tyres are also experiencing the same poor tyre performance. I do not believe run flat tyres are fit for purpose on Australian roads. $2000/year on tyres alone is a big hit. Am I right or wrong?

Great car very comfortable nice and very easy to drive great on economy and a lot of simple to use features. Don’t be fooled this is a very easy car to service for a DIY person Oil and filter change every 15k and it will go for ever it’s 10 years old and still a great car to drive . The only problem we’ve had is a injector seal leaked and it’s common on number two cylinder easy fix

Great styling but the worst ergonomics for the seats.
Performance is good .. matter of selecting the "sport" mode which increases the revs before gear change.
Dashboard layout is good but the reversing camera in my model 2016 is very basic. Big doors being only 2 door can be difficult to get out on an incline. Service costs are the typical Merc. robbery. Does aroun 7kms to the litre on a good run.
THE SEATS are the worst I have ever had in a car ... limited height adjustment due to the sunroof .. on long trips it is hell for the driver. Have owned the C180/C180 coupe/C200 and this is the worst car of all of them for seating ... Took it back to Merc to complain and their comment was that is what you paid for !!

Mercedes engineering disappointing
The automatic inlet cam adjuster after 6 years only at 71'000km 10 hour repair job, cost $3625
Paid it unhappily
Sent an official complaint to Mercedes Australia - how can a Mercedes engine have such a huge engine repair after only 71'000km?
Mercedes Australia responded and after a series of calls they agreed to refund the cost of engine parts
I ended up payiing for labour only $1100
Some months later surfing the internet, I picked up other Owners with the same issue and discovered that it was an engine design fa...Read more

Two weeks with a petrol C250
We holidayed with a petrol C250 sedan for two weeks and the verdict, comfortable and fun.
We travelled about 2500 kms with about 60% country, %40 urban.
The good.

-Radar cruise works well, after getting used to it.
- Character, sporty and fun. Feels fast, even when it's not really.

-Couldn't find air con seats, maybe an option? They are a must option for Perth, Brisbane and anywhere north. - Little hesitant when rolling then hitting the go pedal. - 3 Year warranty. When you pay a premium it's only fair to expect the manufacturer to back it. Our main car at home is a F10 550i which is a magic carpet ride, effortless and very, very smooth. This is different and this is why it's so important to drive cars (maybe hire?) before buying. Little gem overall.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good solid car
Obviously being a merc the purchase price was large and the petrol and service cost are too. That aside it is a well built responsive car with some great features. Above all it is safe and reliable. I previously had a c180 coupe which was three years old. It was also a very attractive car but once my grand child came along the two doors were not practical.

Love the car
Bought a 2015 C250 Bluetec with full options, luxury and economic to run. The only issue is the engine quite noisy but you can't hear much when all the windows are up. Recommend the car to any of my friends. AMG options, vision and comfort options are highly recommend .

Very disappointing
Started off as such a wonderful drive but after a few years there was a problem with the engine. One of the engine parts (we learned) was known to fail over time. The cam shaft adjuster for the m271 engine is made from cast iron and it’s operation against the single-row steel timing chain causes the teeth to wear prematurely. The teeth can break off. This can lead to dangerous and serious engine damage. It cost $10 000 to fix. The component design has since been changed and is not a problem in new vehicles. Will never buy Mercedes again. Very let down.

Nice car But not perfect
Nice car to drive and to look at. It not a performance sport car, it perfect for cruising around.
Rear seats for child only. Boot space is OK for its class.
Electriconics has issues. I have air suspension and it wouldn’t raise up. Stop start function not active most times as battery never charged enough.
Running cost yet to find out (only had car for 12months), all repairs were covered by warranty.

Excellent piece of engineering, but here is why I won't be buying one
I drive my friend's C200 for about 3-4 months a year when he is overseas, so it is not mine. This is a great piece, has good performance for a 1800cc engine, with plenty of luxury and comfort.
Suspension is really good and you can adjust this, as well as engine performance. It sticks to road on corners very well.
Quality of the sound system is world class.
I love the gear change knob on the steering wheel, indeed I get so used to it I miss it when I drive my own car.
I like that the mirrors fold automatically when you lock the car and ex...Read more

Good car but reliability...
I bought this car in 2016 and it was 41,000km on the clock at the time of purchase. The car was in a good condition and I fell in love with this car rapidly for its power and refinement it has a very silky engine and gives a smooth riding. For the engine size (2.1litre), it feels almost like car with 3.0 engine
150kw power and 500 newton metre torque is truly highlights for this car. It's very punchy while driving this is the most part that I like about this car.
Overall this car is very good to drive but very expensive for the service.

Flawed perfection
Beautiful car to drive. Very expensive car to own. I have a Kia Sorento of the same age, the Kia servicing costs around 1/3 that of the MB C 250 CDI we have. With only 50,000km the front brakes are worn out, the Kia's are still like new, and some of the MB interior has not worn as well as the Kia. Both cars are used similarly and garaged. The Kia is a better car for long trips, it has a higher driving position and takes more stuff. While the MB performance and handling are well ahead of the Kia at legal speeds this is not an issue.

So So
I bought a brand new Mercedes Benz C200 in 2014. Driving experience is just perfect. It feels like you are on the clouds. Extremely smooth and quiet. However not much of a legroom if you are a tall person. The features are great along with reverse park assist. Running costs are extremely expensive. Tyre replacement is about $400. My main issue is with the keys. The batteries needed to be changed every 6 months which is quite odd. The car would be locked after I have parked. But once I approach the car a bit later and use my remote to open the c...Read more
ar, it stays locked. This has caused a bit of embarrassment especially when I have my hands full of shopping bags. I had to physically remove the cover on the door handle and jiggle a bit to open the door. For a brand new expensive car, this should not be a problem. There are no heated seats. There is no head up display on the windscreen. BMW has this feature and the only reason I did not go ahead with purchasing a BMW was because the driving performance was not as good as Mercedes.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great car
My husband bought our Mercedes benz c250 in February 4,2017 from a car retailer in campbelltown. And I would say that this car is really amazing, as there is a 360 degrees camera which you would not find in other cars. This car is a bit pricey but it's really worth .The fuel is thrifty but the parts is expensive as we had an accident while travelling from Brisbane to Sydney and hit a kangaroo and guess the headlight was broken and it cost a 5300k to replace and fix the bumper. But thanks to insurance. And also it takes a while to fix it but they ordered the parts from overseas. But other than that this car is really great inside and outside.

C250..a car with compromises.
My review is based on a c250 loan car with 1,500km on it. I had the car for 6 weeks.
Good points. The handling and chassis is utterly superb. The car is unbelievably compliant and corners flat like nothing else when thrown into corners at all speeds. The torque vectoring is absolute genius. (I've previously owned a wrx and saab with haldex awd and this MB handles beautifully). Performance from the engine is relatively strong especially considering its engine specs. Technology and safety is great. Car looks fantastic and elegant. Interior is...Read more
spacious. Bad points. Cheap interior build. Hard brittle piano black plastic trim panels. Throttle is overly sensitive and it is difficult to drive the car smoothly. Stop start is very rough. Ride is harsh for a luxury car which might be partially due to the 19 inch wheels. They look gorgeous though. Engine is a little on the noisy side and gearbox is rough and lazy when hurried which is unexpected from a dual clutch. Nav and mutimedia screen is small and doesn't enable you to view multiple items at once. E.g. must have GPS or radio displayed only. Seats too firm to be comfortable for more than 2hrs driving. Artico leather might be fine on an A class but not a c250. Car is a bit disappointing. You definitely are reminded you bought a cheaper Mercedes. C / "compromised" class.Similar opinion? great car - fuel efficient and comfortable
car handles well and is quiet on the road, but doesn't have much power.
i dislike the radio controls, they're quite difficult to use with a control knob in the centre console
car has been reliable and cheap to maintain and run (fuel and servicing)
car also takes ULP 95 octane fuel which is a bit expensive

Somebody needs to have a good look at it and test drive it .
I suggest you have a full assessment by local Motor vehicle assessors and get a comprehensive report on a vehicle of this age.
