Just fitted & happy already
Fitted Latitudes to front of a Suzuki vitara diesel 2008. Immediately felt and heard the difference. Bridgestone & Kumho prior I now realise we're noisy and wandered on the road. Latitudes are so quiet and steering is 200% better. Worth the bit extra already. Be interesting to see the results when they're on the back as well.
Vastly improved steering & far quieter.

Excellent
Although a more expensive tyre than other 70/30 or 65/35 road/offroad tyres this Michelin makes the price paid worthwhile with its excellent grip especially on snow, icy slush and dirt roads. Suits my Honda CRV perfectly
Quiet, smooth ride given the tread pattern, excellent grip in the wet or dry. Handles snow and icy roads here in the Snowy Mountains extremely well

Excellent
The best tyre I have experienced on a Landrover Discovery. Mine is a D2a, I have driven lots of discos and these give the best feel of any tyre I have experienced on one. I have the 246/70/16 on which are the "extra load" version. Speedo is out a little, have to be careful as GPS reads 83 when speedo reads 80.
I could not be happier with these tyres, highly recommend them.
I have mainly had BF All terrains in the past as my aftermarket tyre, these are not as "aggressive" but seem just as good off road and streets ahead on road.
Super Quiet, Wet road grip fantastic, great off road
Having to wait for them....Michelin order system seems a little archaic.

Excellent on road tyre for Large 4WD
I Fitted 265/70 R17 to my 06 100 Series V8 Landcruiser. These tyres are great on the highway and very good on sand and gravel but in no way an offroad tyre ( I run 285/75 R17 BF Goodrich Mud Terrains for that). Extremely good on wet roads including cornering. Even pushing pretty hard into wet bends it won't understeer, pretty good for a 3 ton vehicle.
Very Quiet on the highway, even on the concrete crap.
I Have got 60,000km out of them to date and they've prob got 5k left in them.
Awesome wet weather grip, very quiet, good life.
Not an offroad tyre - but if you did any research you'd know that!!!

What ever happened to good tyre wear?
Our 2001 Discovery came with Michelin tyres and were an excellent all round tyre. I changed them at 80K for latitude cross. I will be lucky to get 50K out of them. They have been fine on all conditions and are definitely quiet on the road. I was told these were made in Poland. At about $320 each I expect more than 50K out of a tyre so I am about to buy a different brand.I have not used the car any differently with this set to the originals.
they hod air

OK but left disappointed.
Used on Pathfinder - from new the Goodyear Wranglers (allweather) needed replacing (@60,000 kms) - usage >95% road <5% other (sand mostly). I wanted a little more grip when towing trailer around my paddock - fairly steep I was slipping.
L Cross (265/65R17) perform as advertised except I probably should have replaced them 5000 kms back - currently sitting on 92,000. So they have run under by 20,000 at least.
As a reference point, I replaced the brake pads about 200 kms ago - they have lasted well for a heavy vehicle. It is a diesel - I tr...Read more

look good
good on road but not a real 4x4 tyre look good but not up to aus conditions crossed simpson desert cut side wall on one tyre done about 2000k
unused spare fitted lasted less than 200k these were 235x70x16 fitted on disco 2a
will not buy michelin again too soft
road handling good not noisy just a car tyre
not a good 4x4 tyre warranty not worth anything and quite expensive better tyres around for less

but why would you attempt a Simpson crossing on a highway biased tyre. i think that more the fault of the driver than the tyre!!!
It's a highway tyre, not a Simpson Desert tyre. Some people...............
Hmm. Yeah maybe. I'm considering them as replacement for the OEM tyres on my Kia Sportage. The point is that it just isnt possible to get anything else even close to 4x4 to fit the wierd rims on this car.

Wael Easked
Is Michlin 215/70/16 is good for on road for Kia Sportage 2015?

Hi Wael,
I'm not sure about the Kia, but they are great on-road for my VW Tiguan!
Divergent tyre profiles make a difference to the handeling and proformance of a tyre, even when it is the same brand and model. However you can't go to wrong buying a reputable brand like Michelin / Pirelli / Yokohama etc.
ascertain the surface and conditions you will predominantly drive upon and also your preferred driving style, and select a tyre that best fits your criteria from a reputable brand as mentioned above.

Has anyone got these on a 150 series Toyota Prado? If so, are they good? What do they look like on the vehicle
2 answers
I have these on a 120 series Prado and would not see any difference in putting them onto a 150 series. I have found them much quieter than the original Dunlops and they give a very comfortable ride. I don't think you would regret putting them onto your vehicle.
We have the Latitude Cross's (225/65 R17) fitted to our 2009 Toyota RAV4. I agree with Les' comments above. We've found them to be quieter, more comfortable & more grippier than the factory fitted Bridgestone D687 H/T tyres. Jax & Tyre Plus stores definitely sell Michelin tyres. Shop around for the best price. Comments from both companies I've dealt with are that they sell a lot of the Latitude Cross's & get very few complaints from the customers that bought them. Oh yeah, they look pretty awesome too!

Hi
Are these tyres good for a 200 series cruiser 275/65r17
Do you still sell the LTX AT in this size?
2 answers
Hi. I am not a dealer. I purchased these from a Tyre Plus store. I travelled around Australia doing 20,500km after I had them fitted to my 2008 Prado. I can not speak enough about them. I certainly will be going for another set when they wear out. High recommend.
Howdy Ricky, I'm not a dealer either mate, just a very happy customer that likes Michelin's. Michelin make the Latitude Cross in the 275/65R17's for your 200 series Land Cruiser. We have the narrower 225/65R17's (Latitude Cross) fitted on our RAV4 and they are brilliant. They stick like glue - wet or dry. Oh, and they are very quiet. I rotate all 5 tyres every 10,000 as per the owners manual, an the wear rate seems pretty good so far. We haven't done much dirt driving, but hopefully the other reviewers on this site can share their off road reviews for this tyre with you. The LTX AT's are only available in 15's, and LTX AT2's are only available in 16's. Another option is the BFG AT's (275/65R17) but they are slightly dearer than the Latitude Cross's and while being an excellent tyre, the BFG's are better off road (thicker sidewall ply) than the Michy's, but lack the on road handling of the Michelin Latitude Cross's, so it's horses for courses I guess. Good luck searching for your tyres.
