He loves it.
I was unsure if my 2.4yr old son would like a balance bike, so we rented one from our toy library (they had recently purchased a Micro G-Bike + Light Balance). Initially I thought I'd buy a wooden balance bike but after seeing my son (who can be rough with his toys) play with/on this bike, I am sold. It's sturdy and light (he often picks it up to get over obstacles or carries it up/down stairs by himself). I can't wait to see the smile on his face at Christmas.

Best balance bike - extremely useable - light and easily adjustable.
I had bought another wooden balance bike but that one was not used - was probably a bit heavy. This one is great as it is light (easy for a smaller child to use) and the seat is easily adjustable without requiring tools. Should have bought this one first. My just 3 year old boy rides this one everywhere (even in the house) and is getting the hang of it in his first week only. TIP: Try riding down a grass slope (softer fall) to get the hang of the balance. Is more expensive but if it's used all the time is worth it.
Light, adjustable, nice overall design.
Is quite pricey

My son is only just turning 2. Do you think he is too young still? Thank you.

Hi Melhutch,
I bought the bike for my son when he was just 3 yo and he took to it immediately so I thought that if I had I had bought it earlier he would have been good on it too. My guess would be about 2.5 years would be a good start but of course it depends on the personality and size and strength of your child. Just 2 may be a bit young but might be OK and if not right away, it will be very soon. I note that Micro recommends it for 2+. It's a great bike though and now my son is 4 years and flying around on an 18" wheel BYK pedal bike with no trainer wheels - so it's a great way to learn to ride. Hope this helps.
Regards Karen.
Thanks so much for your reply Karen. I think we will certainly get him one for Christmas.
Thanks again,
Melinda.
