Okay but not great
I have a mix of carpet and tiles, with rugs, and the reason why I had bought this vacuum was that it didn't have that annoying roller head that snags all the hair until it doesn't roll anymore and you have to sit down for an hour or so just cutting and yanking out all the hair. We live in a house of teenage girls, so lots of hair. This vacuum cleaner is awkward to use, and it hits walls as you try to go around your house and vacuum. There would be dings in the walls because I'd pull it from the living room to the dining room and it would just ...Read more
catch on a wall and then it would tip over sometimes. After a few years it died, the top would actually pop off every time I turned it on. But one of the biggest reasons I won't buy another one is the bags and the price of them--it's insane! And the reason why the indicator always says the bag is full? It's because even a fine sprinkling of powder can block the holes that allow air flow through, and the machine will say the bag is full, when there's only a tiny amount of dirt in the bag. I have allergies myself and didn't notice that much of a change after 6 months of using this machine. I would probably consider this vacuum cleaner if the bags were a heck of a lot cheaper, but I think it's $30 for 5 bags and you could use a bag or two a day if you vacuum up a fine powder. If you don't change a bag when it's full, you can wreck your vacuum cleaner.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good to grwat vacuum but Miele bags too expensive
Purchased 2 years ago after owning the previous cat&dog for 20 years. I really want the old one back. The new one is powerful and could suck the chrome off a door handle but we own a Labrador. I would need to take a third job to pay for the Miele vacuum bags as we go through one a day. To make it worse, the cunning Germans have modified modern bags to stop the customer emptying and reusing the bag. When companies behave like that it is time to look elsewhere.

Nice working with it
Nice work on compiling Miele C3 over view and review, best I found, thanks. All the those models are available in Australia) plus it looks like miele are dumping their old 2000w models out here so some info n/a. Just one thought you might consider .

Great Vacuum, Amazing Suction and very quiet
We bought this vacuum to replace an 8 year old Dyson that blew up.
The Dyson (DC23) was a good vacuum, but the Miele leaves it for dead in terms of suction and quietness.
The Miele has adjustable power which I have found has to be turned down by our cleaning lady as it has so much suction that it is too hard to push! (First World Problem)
If I had a criticism it would be that the bag full indicator is not accurate as it comes on when sucking hard even with a new bag so it is hard to tell when it needs replacing.
If you are tossing up another Dyson or a Miele - I think you will be very happy coming to this from a Dyson

performance & quality
The Miele c3 was recommended to me as I have so many different floor surfaces 2 dogs that think they own the and a very sandy outdoor area. I purchased it online with the genuine turbo head & mini turbo head I find that I can clean all of my floor surfaces without changing heads & I am able to clean my fabric furniture with the mini turbo. The bag and filtration system is absolutely great as after cleaning no lingering odor. This review is not sponsored or supplied in any way I have recommended this cleaner to some other friends & had nothing but positive feedback. Satch
P S it even cleans my artificial turf on the bbq area

Finally a literally 'no back ache' vacuum cleaner!
This is my first Miele vacuum cleaner. I have arthritis and got fed up with the pain whilst vacuum cleaning. This Miele is a bit more expensive than I was planning for but I can extend the length of the brush handle to different ( longer) levels to correct the sometimes awkward position of the spine during vacuum cleaning. The quality is good and all items on the machine are sturdy. I buy the bags cheap at a hardware store because the original ones are quite expensive. The brush needs to be cleaned every week but that's inherent to the system. ...Read more
It's a bit loud when used at it's maximum power but cleans good and is powerful. I use the vacuum cleaner on carpet and tiles and it performs well. I have no problems with it tipping over because it's just a bit heavier than the ones I've had before.Purchased in January 2021 at The Good Guys Physical store for $499.00.

Astonishing!
If I say this vacuum cleaner has changed my life, I’m not exaggerating! The rooms with carpet flooring get dusty way slower, and my allergy and asthma had been at ease since we made this purchase! The power is astonishing to the point that it would pick up the smallest bits that you can’t see with the naked eye, and the design enables (adjustable handle) the machine to fit even in the smallest cabinets !

Worth the $$$
This is my second Miele cat & dog, after 15 years of absolute abuse it was a nobrainer to buy again, I love using the bags, although an added expense, my son has allergies & the bags keep everything contained, all the many accessories help my disabled body continue to keep my home clean with relative ease, the turbo head is amazing on my whole rug & the larger floor head is a breeze on wood & tile floors. Worth every penny & outlasts all other vacuums.
Purchased in March 2021 at Harvey Norman for $850.00.

Brush head stops working after warranty
Main problems:
Brush head stopped working right after warranty
Brush head clogs and to clean you have to cut through hair, threads manually through all the dirt
Its expensive. I didnt expect it to stop working after 2 years having spent 500$. Brush head alone costs 200$ even if I want to buy it again.
Its heavy as well, not easy to use
Not perfect cleaner of carpets
They have turned down my request for service even though I was just over 3 weeks of my warranty.
Harvey norman offered me to buy brush head for cheaper price but I dont know if its worth spending another $ on this

Expected quality died just after warranty ran out
Usually love the Miele brand (dishwasher and washing machine) but not sure they've nailed it with vacuum cleaners. I used it on carpet, tiles and wooden floors and the power head mostly worked with our abundance of dog hair. However, the "ergonomic" handle completely snapped after 2 and half years of use. The parts to replace were available and quickly sent. Also find that the switch between rug and tile floors (located on the head) struggles to stay on the tile option.

Loose vacuum. Dust not going into bag
The C3 vacuum first failed with suction levels not working was sent back for repair and now fixed. Now dust not isn’t going into bag. Been back 3 times. Miele didn’t want to know anything about it. 3rd party service tech said it was the carbon filter (being blocked) have since replaced it but hasn’t fixed the problem. Took vacuum cleaner back to shop (god guys) Lady at shop said that the bag needs to be clipped in all the way. She replaced the bag took it home again same problem. So again running around for the 4th time. Thought buying a respected brand problems like this would be minimal?

Miele Vacuum Cleaner
I purchased my Miele Vacuum Cleaner from Good Guys in May 2017. It is the Complete C3 Allergy model. I paid $365 for the machine and $24.95 for a packet of replacement dustbags (consisting of four dustbags and two filters).
I’ve never had a decent vacuum cleaner before but I treated myself after a word-of-mouth said that a Miele they had years ago was the best vac they’ve ever had.
I can attest that my Miele model does an excellent job and is an enthusiastic sucker-upper. It follows me around without tipping over, unli...Read more
ke those tuppeny-ha’penny machines I’ve owned that keel over at the first opportunity. The electric cord is approximately 7.5 metres in length. The dustbag indicator changes colour when the dustbag is full and needs replacing. I find it easy to change the dustbag. It works well on carpet and linoleum flooring.Purchased in May 2021 at The Good Guys for $365.00.

This Vacuum sucks! In the best way!
Never been one to spend a lot of money on appliances, but I needed a new Vac, so I did the research and stumbled upon this beaut. I have 2 dogs, both huskies and carpet. Disaster. Until now.
I swear to god I don’t work for Miele or have anything to do with them, but I’ve never been so excited to vacuum. This thing is amazing, my floors have never been so clean.
Dog hair? Easy. Regular dirt, crumbs, mess? Gone. Every time you vacuum it’s literally a satisfying before and after picture.
Only thing bad I’ll say about this is that one of the attachments broke just by dropping 30cm off the ground which was so disapointing until we realised our warranty included replacing it and we got another for free so it’s all good

It's amazing!
I love this vacuum cleaner. It glides around and is super easy to use. The bags can fill up easy if you only vacuum, so I sweep also and the bags last longer lol. Ive heard you can get cheaper bags online but ive not tried them. The vacuum has great suction and maneuverability. I love it! No doubt it will last for years.

Bought and returned on the same day
I bought this vacuum because it was highly rated, and it was made in Germany. Bing Lee had a sale so I purchased it at a good price (half a grand is still a lot of money, but it was less than other places were charging).
I got the vacuum home and as I started vacuuming, I noticed the bag change indicator kept moving to orange. I read the guidebook and noted that it said the indicator will only go orange if the bag is full (obviously). The bag was not full, as I had just started using the vacuum. I took off the hose, and the bag indicator stayed...Read more

Was good to begin with then suddenly would not turn on again...
After 2 years, the vacuum has died, im not sure whether its a cord issue or a motor issue but i am extremely disappointed. For a purchase at this cost, Miele should do everything they can to make all the repairs covered. However instead, the service rep advised i need to take it in to repairer and would have to fork out the cost as it has been 2 years... its just not good enough, ill never purchase anything Miele ever again.

Fantastic vacuum and even better customer service
So I recently purchased this vacuum to replace an absolutely useless Electrolux. After 'test driving' my mum's version of it I knew it was exactly what I was after. Strong suction, a powerhead to pick up the cat hair off the floor from two long haired, constantly shedding cats and the ability to quickly swap the heads over to get a good clean on floorboards and tiles. The powerhead has a removable panel too so it's super easy to clean the rollers when needed. There's a mini powerhead which is perfect for fiddly jobs like cleaning hair off the c...Read more
at climbing towers and curtains. If I had to pick a negative I'd say the cord could be a little longer as I can *almost* but not quite do 2/3 of the house before needing to swap power points. Yes the bags are expensive BUT I think the fact that it sucks so much better (in my opinion) than a bagless vacuum makes up for that. In addition to that the customer service from Miele is excellent. My vacuum arrived and it didn't have a piece I thought it should have so I emailed Miele (at 7pm at night mind you). They had responded by the next morning replying they would send the piece out to me and less than 24 hours later it was at my doorstep. It was so nice to have such great customer service when nowadays a whole lot of big name companies are failing in that area. Would definitely recommend this vacuum and this brand to anyone looking for a vacuum with good suction and additional tools/features.1 comment

Great!
Love this vacuum, the turbo head does a wonderful job at picking up all the cat hair on my white carpet! The cable is nice and long too. The vacuum bags seem to hold a lot and I haven't had to change them anywhere near as often as I thought I would.

Have you got a Harvey Norman or Bing Lee closeby?,, Either that or buy them online.

I have turned my mum's 'Cat and Dog' on for the first time to test it. I attached the power head and tried it on my carpet (standard carpet, not thick or shag). The power head glides backward and forward easily with the weft and easily pulling back with the weave, but almost impossible pushing away with the weave. Incidentally our Wertheim 5035 with power head glides well in all directions.
Please help....
