I want to clean between the layers of glass also because I have a spill in between layers which I think is a design fault. I live in a regional town so can’t really call anyone to assist, I am wondering how difficult it is to dismantle and then reassemble the layers of glass in the door. It would not be good if I can’t get it back together properly as is my previous experience with cleaning oven doors, they are never the same again. Help!

I have a miele H2260B and it seems to take about 2 hours 'cooling' after use! is this normal? or does it need more ventilation? or?

Hi George, the cooling fan will run if the oven capacity is above 70 degrees. This is to protect the electronics from over heating. So it is possible the cooling fan will run until it is told by the electronics that it has reached a safe temperature to stop. Kind regards, Jack.

Thanks Jack, i am just surprised from 260 degrees it take 2 hours to cool down to 70 degrees. Could it maybe need more ventilation?

I think that you will have to call Miele. There should not be dirt between the glass panes.

Hi Sally...I had the same issue and was hesitant about taking the door apart. I went to the Perth Miele showroom and one of the staff took apart an oven door to show me how to do it. It was quite easy. However, this was a few months ago, so I doubt whether the showroom is open during this Covid 19 time.

Bought a miele oven 6 years ago thought that it would be a cut about most brands but the heating element fell down due to rust in the hole holding the screw. Very disappointed!

Also, the Miele dishwasher pump is leaking after 6 years and the repair gentleman said the pump and the waterproof part and service is going to cost $1200. My husband and I are disappointed. The repairer said that it was because of a piece of broken glass but isn't there a strainer or preventative measure for broken glasses from wine glasses and drinking glasses. We were given a number to call for a new Miele dishwasher but wasn't given a special rate for a replacement.

Hi, there, my friend bought a Mile oven with pyrolytic cleaning features. We tried the pyrolytic cleaning py 1 last night following the instructions in the manual. The process started at 0930pm. It won't turn off. My friend stopped it at 0230am.
May I ask how long does the PY 1 cleaning take?
Thanks

Hi there, there is no set time for either of the 3 levels of pyro cleaning however it definitely shouldn’t take 5 hrs for py1 which is for a lightly soiled cavity, I think it would be best to have a service call to check operation. If you can please book a service call using https://www.servicebooking.miele.com.au or if you have any questions don’t hesitate to call us on 1300 464 353. Kind regards, Anna.

Hi there, does the pyrolitic cleaning function for the H 2661 BP include the wire racks, or do I need to remove these and clean them manually? Thanks!

Hi Sally, thanks for your question. Please take the wire racks out of the oven as they cannot be inside the oven when the pyrolytic cleaning function is activated. You can just wash the wire racks with hot soap and water. Kind regards, Anna.

Hi Tina, thank you for your question. The fan running during cooking and after completion of cooking is a normal feature of the oven’s operation. Kind regards, Miele.

Hi No I don't get any condensation between the glass. I haven't cooked a chook in my oven but have done Roast Lamb and it turned out beautiful. When I first got the oven I wished I had bought a better model with more features but having used this one now I am very happy with everything that has come out of it. Absolutely no problems at all.

Hi Robyn thank you SO much for responding that is so helpful. I too am tempted by a better model but I think I will only use the basic options! Good to hear it is a good all rounder. Kind regard Mirry

No problem about condensation, of cause you can cook a crispy chicken. This is not the Oven only the way you cook it. You should look at old fashioned recipes.

Can the oven bake all 5 trays of cookies evenly at the same time?

No, couldn't imagine any oven, other than commercial oven, could. Two trays evenly spaced will still see variation in finished product. Its a great oven though, I have no complaints with it, love it.
