electronics pack up in 4 months
Puchase my machine and drier from Harvey Norman. This is a 3-d generation of Miele loyalty. Electronics packed up in the washer after 4 months of home use. I was given only 1 option by Miele - a 3 week wait for the part. This is shocking, and I am left with no option with a family of 4 in a lock down time, than to purchase another cheaper machine, to deal with the laundry. So disappointing, for such a big and pricey brand.
Purchased in November 2021.

Perfect for a big family!
I have had this washing machine for just over 12 months and I absolutely love it! It’s perfect for my family as it can do a big load with multiple settings. It also seems to hold the fragrance of the washing liquid I use really well and when a load is completed the entire house smells Devine! Well worth the money and I have also purchased the matching dryer. Very happy!
Purchased in June 2021 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances.

Do not touch Miele
I purchased Miele front loader in September 2022. It now shows error code f50. I contacted Miele and they responded with "$179 dollar call out fee and $34 per 15 minutes there after. This a disgrace on a machine less than 6 months old.
My advice is do not go near Miele appliances.
Purchased at Harvey Norman for $1,500.00.

Great front loader
I had used Miele previously so I knew of their quality first hand.
This is the baby of the Miele washers but still has a multitude of features (some would say too many)
Still it washes very well and is very quiet.
Hopefully it will last a long time.
Purchased in November 2021 at The Good Guys Online store for $1,399.00.

Excellent product
My previous Bosch front loader broke down after about 7 years or so. The drive shaft broke so it couldn’t be fixed. I was surprised to learn from online research that front loader washing machines usually only last about 7 years or so these days.
From online research, I came to the conclusion that Miele washing machines last 20 years and that you can buy them cheaper from the Miele Clearance Centre. So that’s what I did, thereby achieving a 30% discount. In the long run this will save money. If I had bought another budget model, it would no do...Read more
ubt break in another 7 years or so. By buying the Miele product, I get a machine that will last 20 years, and in 7 years time I’ll be ahead (it would cost more to buy 2 budget washing machines and have them delivered and installed than what I paid for this one at the Clearance Centre.) The washing machine has a delayed start function to help save money by using it in non-peak periods, but does not use much electricity any way. The cycle takes a very long time, about 2 hours and 45 minutes, but the benefit is that clothes are spun much drier than my previous washing machine was able to. There is also an Express 20 option for faster results for smaller loads (up to 3.5kg, or half the maximum volume). It also has an “economy” cycle but the installer advised not to use it because it takes much longer and hardly makes any different to electricity usage. I figure he’s probably right. My theory is that the extra time taken will wear the machine out faster and so it is probably not worth the tiny money saved on electricity cost. But I could be wrong.Purchased in November 2021 for $1,119.00.

Excellent
Miele is the best when it comes to washing machines, it has never broken down and is very reliable
Once you figure out your recipe for clean clothes add your detergent and the machine does the rest
Purchased in July 2021 at Harvey Norman for $1,500.00.

Unfortunate experience
We purchased this machine on recommendation from the store in New Zealand
On first use we noticed the touch screen would not work properly. Just a few days after purchase the machine came up with F50 error code and does not work at all now.
We were sold a defective machine and Miele staff are not very helpful and are handling this as a routine
service issue without any urgency.
We thought we were investing in a reliable product but sadly our experience suggests otherwise
Purchased in April 2021 for $1,500.00.

Love, Love Love it!!!
Bought this Machine from Bing lee at Hornsby. I bought this machine is to replaced my super old Miele honeycomb care washer. I have been used this for 2 weeks now, so easy to use and super quite. Hopefully this machine will last me for a while just like my old Miele washer.

Great washing machine
It has lots of function to suit your distinctive needs. Their customer service is superb. It is not noisy and is easy to maintain. It is a little more expensive than the norm but it is a good product to invest. Scratch proof, and it last for many years. Do it.

This is the perfect washing machine, quiet and gentle and very efficient!
This washing machine cleans and rinses our clothes perfectly. It is very gentle on our clothes and does not wear them out at all. It is incredibly quiet when operating. My favourite features are the touchscreen which enables you to see how much more time is required in the cycle. This is an excellent machine and I highly recommend it!

Risky Now
Only just bought exactly 1 month ago. So far so good. However, my biggest complaint is that the Machine was delivered without tools nor printed manuals. They did send the tool after a second request but to date I have not received printed Manuals after 3 requests, they sent pdf files instead even after explaining that we needed to have a printed copy. Comprehension problem or Customer Carelessness? The fact that Miele failed to consider the situation from their customers' perspective (did not bother to supply missing items immediately upon no...Read more
tification and still waiting after 1 month) says a lot about Miele's idea of Brand pride and customer service, for this it should be 2 stars. So, Miele has a reputation for quality and longevity in the past, which explains the higher price, however if products can be sent missing important items like Operating Manuals and the tool to remove the transit bars and adjust the feet for proper balance I think it is fair to say that something has failed in the expected precision of German made Miele products. If those simple yet important things are missing, what else? Could this explain the reports of oil in the washing with some other models of Miele? And if you add to that the all important after sales customer service, turning out to be mediocre, you have to make a judgment between the price paid versus the risk of failure and likely poor customer service in the future. I am very reluctant to give it 3 stars because of a failure in the Quality Control process and mediocre after sales Service. At this stage I don't know if the product is average (or better) for similarly priced machines, but the product care is below average. Prospective buyers should weigh the two risks carefully. UPDATE: I have just got email now advising that "In the interest of the environment, we do not print manuals". So this is a big surprise and bad for us because of the inconvenience in having to boot up the computer to access the electronic Manual or if from iPad, read the small print. We have a high preference for hard copy. This should also tell us about Miele's priority, customer is not on the top of the list. I don't know if other similarly priced Washing Machines have this same dubious policy.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bought W2653WPS June 2005, (with matching dryer) used most days since then without issue. Recently started a very noisy spin cycle and very recently slight burning smell and small amounts of granular rubber residue around the door. Called service (Miele) Service man just left - sorry, machine not worth fixing, get a new one. Blamed our constant coldwater washing for the reduced service life. Does this sound correct? I have no reason to doubt the service guy, but...
What would be the 'new' equivalent model from Miele if I purchase another to fit the same space and have the same features?

How to get towels fluffy and soft? we replaced Miele W2104 with Miele WDD030. The old W2104 had absolutely no problem cleaning and conditioning white high quality towels. However the WDD030 just turns towels into sandpaper. On any setting. And when asked what settings are best, Miele refuse to answer, instead want us to pay for a service call!!. We dont need a service, we need answers to a straight forward product question. We are beginning to think this Miele was a huge mistake.

Good afternoon,
Thank you for your question. We apologise for your experience and recommend the below troubleshooting steps to assist you.
There are a few options to consider here that can make towels stiff. High temps, too much detergent and high spin speeds. The new unit is more efficient than the old, it uses less water and has a higher spin speed. Using less water means you need to use less detergent. Are you using the same amount of detergent as you did in your old Miele appliance? Please use half to a third of what is recommended on the detergent instructions you are referring to, and reduce the spin speed and temperature. If you are still experiencing issues, please don't hesitate to contact us on 1300 464 353 (please be aware these contact methods are for Australia only).
Kind regards
Joel
‘On any setting’ means any and all setting. Cold, warm, high temperatures, low temperatures, more water, less water, etc. Nothing works, this machine produces sandpaper, every time.
Since Miele probably won’t take it back, we’ll mothball it, buy another brand at 50% of the Miele price, and include the Miele with our house when we sell it in a few months. No point in persisting.
