So many service calls, so many problems!
After having this machine for a few weeks I found that the dos detergent container became sucked in and would not dispense any more detergent. It was as if it had been pressurised.(?) I took it into Miele and they told me it must have been the container and replaced it. After a few more washes it then happened again with the new lot of detergent. I then organised a service call. The service technician said that he couldn't find any fault with the machine except that it was dispensing too much detergent. Apparently all these machine dispense too...Read more
much detergent because they are set for hard German water conditions and not soft water like we have in Melbourne. He did adjust the amount of detergent to be dispensed. 3 days after he had been the same problem occurred with the detergent container. When I again rang service I was told that all they could do was send another technician out. I said a technician had only been out 3 days previously and couldn't diagnose a fault and asked to be put through to a manager. The manager then offered to send out a replacement machine. The machine was then replaced. When it was installed I asked about getting the detergent dispensing level adjusted and was told they had never heard anything about the problem. I ended up changing it myself although it wasn't easy. After a few weeks I kept getting a fault message that said to check the hot water outlet. I couldn't see anything wrong so I arranged another service call. The technician who came out said that it needed a new part. Mind you this is my replacement machine that is only a few weeks old and every time you call service you spend between 15 and 30 minutes on hold and then you have to wait about 2 weeks before anyone can come and you have to wait in for half a day because they can't give you any indication of when they will come except am or pm. He ordered the part but couldn't book me in for him to come back for another 10 days. A few days later I did a wool wash and the machine turned my cashmere jumpers into pieces of felt. I rang service again. They couldn't get anyone out any earlier and they advised me to stop using the machine. On the day he was due to come back the technician rang me and said he was going home sick and that someone would call me to reschedule. Someone did call but then said it would be another 10 days to 2 weeks before they could get someone out. I explained that I had been waiting already for over 3 weeks at this stage for it to be fixed and that if they didn't get another technician out they could organise to take it away and give me my money back. Another technician did come out that day and he then determined that the machine did not need a new part but rather had been programmed in the factory in Germany to rinse using hot water. I understand that mine is not the only machine that has this issue as I've had further service calls because of problems I have also had with my Miele TKG 450WS dryer (It's about to be taken away as they can't get it to work properly) and the technician who came said that quite a few machines were rinsing with hot water. Hopefully, I won't have any more problems with this washing machine.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

There is nothing like it
This machine is absolutely fantastic. Our clothes are washed and rinsed to perfection. Wear out clothes? What nonsense - this machine is as gentle as gentle can be - I have washed several hand knitted jumpers (8ply) in the machine on the wool cycle using Miele Wool Wash and the jumpers suffered no ill effects whatsoever - if anything - they appeared "better than ever". The machine is definitely much quieter than my previous one which was an Asko (top of the range model which I had for 13 years without problem) and the only hum which is hear...Read more
d is when the machine is spinning at 1600rpm. Using TwinDos is a breeze - correct dosage at all times. When this machine was advertised by Miele one of the slogans was "never hand wash again"! So wonderfully true - with this machine I have not hand washed since I got mine in April 2015 and even my very expensive undergarments are done on the silk cycle - 20 degrees - with no problem whatsoever. I would definitely recommend that one uses the Miele laundry products - they give the best results and at the end of the day are specifically made for the Miele range of machines. They may be a bit more costly than the run of the mill supermarket laundry products but definitely well worth it in the long run. Even when I had my Asko I always used Miele laundry products with excellent results. Finally, I also have the matching Miele dryer which is an excellent machine.Purchased in April 2021 at Miele for $2,900.00.

Outstanding machine!! Miele quality
I've been a Miele customer for over 10 years now and these new machines are outstanding!! One of the things that surprised me was how quiet the machine is especially during the spin cycle.
Using Twin DOS works very well, the only thing I found was the initial setup dosing was a little too high and doing small loads caused it to foam up inside the drum which will trigger the excessive detergent warning, once I adjusted this I've not had a problem.
The power wash system really increases the efficiency of normal detergents like Omo powder if you choose to use it over Ultra Phase 1/2. I purchased this machine with the matching heat pump dryer as a pair.

Do not buy
I purchased this washing machine and matching dryer and spent $6000. Biggest mistake I have ever made. I bought these appliances to replace the 19 year old Miele washer and dryer. I have endless problems with them both. Have contacted Miele customer service which are hopeless. Still an ongoing saga to have my problem resolved. The machine keeps saying it's got too much detergent and its dispensing its own detergent!! The dryer will not dry clothes unless they are completely wet. You cannot hang your clothes in the winter sun and finish them of...Read more
f in the dryer when they are damp. I expected more bang for my buck. My older machines worked so much better. Have spoken to others online and they are having similar problems and not happy with the service provided by Miele Australia. I heard there are problems with the new dryers and a person told me they are replacing 7 machines every two weeks!!! Don't bother buying the W1 and T1 products!5 comments
Our old Miele dryer would take out wrinkles from our clothes and freshen them up before wearing them. This new T1 dryer with the steam smoothing function is hopeless. Placed an item in there and it to... Read more

The older condenser models are so much better. Can you believe this....my son gets mayonnaise on his school shirt. ergent cannot even removed same day stains. What a load of rubbish Miele is sellingWe are now having to put a scoop of powder detergent as well as the machine dispensing 110mls of omo ultimate liquid to get the clothes clean on a 1hour wash - pathetic indeed. Give me back my old W918 machine over this piece of new garbage!!!

When you replace the cartridges do you need to reset the twin dos or does it do it automatically.

Hey there, I am having an issue with the maintenance cycle of twindos for compartment 1. In accordance to the instructions, I have filled a container with water, but it keeps saying "insufficient cleaning agent". I tried filling it partially, filling it to the top, restarted the process at least 10 times - still the same message. Meanwhile it went smoothly with compartment 2 from the very first try. Do you have any suggestions?
