All models are different, check your owners manual, my model doesn't have an alarm

If you've got keyless entry, try locking vehicle and try the emergency key fitted in the fob and open drivers door. That might set alarm off if fitted. If it's a sensor alarm for car interior, get someone to lock car with you inside. Wait about 30 sec to arm and see if moving around sets it off.

Yes. I wound down the drivers window, locked the car, waited 30 seconds and then tried to open the drivers door reaching in and BINGO, yes I can let the insurance mob know that it has an alarm fitted.... Cheers and thanks for the interest.

I have a 2012 Mitsubishi Aspire. I connect my phone via bluetooth, and everything works great..... That is until it is daylight savings time. My phone is always manual as far as the timezone goes. What I find is that my clock in the car automatically goes to daylight savings time (I am in Qld). I change the time and it stays that way for a while, but if I was to listen to music through on itunes, or use maps, it immediately goes to daylight savings again. I have to change the time constantly which is very annoying. Does anyone have this problem or at least a suggestion as to how to rectify this please? Cheers.

Hi Caroljane,
What a weird problem. I haven't noticed it before. Do you have digital radio? I think after the 2015 model these things were rectified. In my 2017 model I have no problems at all. I am in QLD as well and I play Spotify etc with no worries at all. Maybe your older sound system is your problem. I know 2 other people who drive a 2016 model and they have no problems at all. I suggest you see your local dealer. Hope this is helpful.
Kingo.

The default pin is 0000 unless anybody changes it. Turn your ignition on, turn your smart phone Bluetooth on, search for Multi media, car media on your phone and select to connect. Once you have connected to the car radio, a small Bluetooth symbol will be luminated on the top right hand corner. Hope this helps you.

I have a 2012 Mitsubishi ASX 1.8 Diesel. I have noticed that its taking it's time to start in the morning now that its colder. I have noticed that the glow plug light does not come on when the ignition is on. Do you know of any other instances like this? It may well be just glow plugs but I just want to make sure its not just an control issue first.I haven't tried properly yet to have a look at it. I was wondering if yo have any ideas.

Hi Fraser. Not sure why glow plug sign not working; I know sometimes if the motor is already warm or has been at normal operating temperature, the light on mine does not always appear. But yours seems to be a different problem, with light not appearing first up when still cold. The other issue is if the motor is taking time to start, how well charged is your battery ? If it's the original one, being 4 odd years of age, it might be time to check it's condition at your local dealer. Hope you can find a quick solution.

Thanks for the reply. Just for your information I found a dry solder joint in the glow plug relay.

I have the same model and have had a similar problem on one occasion that has been reported when in for service, it also "misses" when it is started in the morning but only once each morning, it used to do this only on cold days but is doing it now in summer. The ATF has been changed at $160 at my cost and this has not fixed the problem so I am going to get insistent on a fix. Rear axle area also gets noisy and a rear wheel bearing failed and was replaced under warranty. Moon light switch console drops out on a rough road and glove box did not lock properly but was fixed at a service. Fuel economy averages about 7.5l/100k around town and about 6.5-7l/100 on a trip but a long way from the 5.8 claimed. I think there may be a problem with these 6 speed auto gear boxes but "service" does not seem to want to do anything about them at this time. Complain more and maybe we will get them fixed, I also have what sounds like a turbo whine first thing at start up but this could also be related to the gear box. I have just 12 months warranty left so hope that it is fixed this month when in for service. regards Rob B

Hi, I've purchased a 2012 ASX with the touch screen stereo. The Bluetooth and voice control are both locked and it's asking for a 4 digit code. Factory setting is 1212 but this is not working. I've also tried 0000, 1111, 1234 and nothing is working. Previous owner has no idea. Anyone know how to reset? I've tried local Mits Dealer and they are no help either.

has anyone have strange droning noises from the automatic gearbox its like it hangs on to a higher gear than it should you have to kick it down all the time it should change a lot quicker?

When i test drove a new asx i heard this droning sound as well. I therefore opted for the manual. This droning is a common problem on all cars equiped with a CVT transmission as it has a metalic belt that mimics the ratios of a conventional gearbox. My advice, turn up the radio or buy a manual.

I just got a nudge bar fitted by Mitsubishi to my wife's ASX which she bought in Dec 2013. Nudge bar looks fine - but it's left two rectangular holes in the plastic front panel where the number plate was attached. Dealer didn't mention this when I agreed to the work; and his response was "that's how it is" ..... not a good answer. Anyone know how you can plug the holes? They're 5cm x 1 cm. I'm thinking some sore of plastic blank.

It shouldnt be done like that. Trust me I had my nudge bar, a pair of driving lights and a shoo roo, and mine was done neatly. The whole they make was under the one you mentioned the grille underneath which is very very hard to notice unless you gonna dig in. Thats a dodgy workmanship there!

Gredo
Gredo

Thank, Jose - yes, Mitsubishi looks dodgy here. Still haven't found a way to plug them.
