I love this car
This is the first car I have bought brand new and am more than happy. It's a good looking car is very fuel efficient and does not 'drag when picking up speed. I feel very safe in this car. I do however find the car is noisy and I can hear the tyres on the road. The seats also become a little uncomfortable on long trips and I've found myself using a cushion for the small of my back. Even if I knew of these issues prior, I'd still buy it all over again. My husband want one for himself

Attractive design but too small!
It's a nice small SUV but too small for a young family. Back seat very cramped with two baby seats. No room for a third person in the back seat with the two baby seats. Boot space barely fits our icandy peach pram. Definitely does not fit a double pram. Standard LS is very standard with hardly any extras. Seat fabric feels cheap. Driving feels unstable on the road and the engine is quite loud. Positives are nice wheel rims, attractive front end design, good fuel economy and nice colour range. But unfortunately I regret this buy. Wish I did not ...Read more
make such a quick decision buying this car. I actually took it back to the same car yard I brought it from (Mitsubishi Alto Pennant Hills) five weeks after buying it brand new & was offered $10,000 less than what I brought it for. Does not hold value well at all. I would recommend to look at bigger SUV models for a family unless you specifically want a small one or don't need baby car seats or don't need extra boot space. Or look at other car makes.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Happy with my purchase
First of all I have to say I've come from driving a 2002 Hyundai Elantra so obviously any new car will seem great by comparison. Having said that, I did also regularly use my mum's Volkswagen Tiguan 2015 so I do know what it's like to not drive a janky old car.
From a non-motoring enthusiast POV: It does grunt and take a bit of effort to accelerate from stationary but once it gets going it's smooth driving. The running costs seem pretty reasonable to me, a full tank did get us from Melbourne to Horsham and back (600km). A lot of reviews seem ...Read more

Perfect
I Purchased this car in 2016 EOFY deal. Great car for me and my family. Lots of leg room but boot space is a little limited. Cheap to run and have had no issues whatsoever. cheap to service. Have done long trips (10hrs) with no problems. Reliable little family car indeed.

Unrefined but reliable
Pros:
No issues so far
Fair servicing costs
Good features for price at base model
Cons:
Loudh, harsh engine
Uneconomical with fuel
Heavy car for the size - feels sluggish
Bad audio system (mainly ipod intergration) and horrid speakers - I replaced these with a new system but it was difficult

cost effective, good value,
2015 asx, good fuel economy, good handling, nice front grill. nice compact city suv.
the capacity is good, comfortable ride, 2.0 liter is power enough for city driving, no off-road ability, noisy on the highway. cheap maintaining fee. 15000km/12month service gap.
reliable engine 4b11, CVT is sometime slow reaction

Great around town and on long drives!
We wanted a vehicle which was economical, spacious, had the SUV higher seating position for driver visibility and style of course. This vehicle ticked all the boxes! On long drives, the fuel tank seems to expand and we have been able to run it around town on only half a tank for 1-2 weeks no problem. The interior is plush and far better than the old Mitsubishi Outlander we had. Boot space and cabin space are plentiful and it's a very quiet drive too. Highly recommended.

I love my car!!!
Out of all the SUVs available on the market, the mitsubushi Asx must be at the top of your list! At such an affordable price it just can't be beaten.. the interior is nice & roomy so would suit baby/children plus has roomy boot space for the groceries. Have done two longer voyages where it handled itself beautifully plus is perfect for whipping around town as still quite compact to get into those car parks:) honestly could not recommend a better suv for the single or growing family :) buy a mitsi today!

Good Value
When I started looking for a SUV to replace my 2003 Nissan X-Trail I listed essential features that I wanted in an SUV. This included having good ground clearance, sufficient load carrying capacity and a flat load area when the rear seats are folded down, improved fuel economy, good engine power and a proven reliability record. Ideally would like 4WD/AWD but happy to settle for 2WD.
The winner was a used 2015 XC Mitsubishi ASX with 35000 kms and I couldn’t be happier. I looked at others including the Nissan Dualis (rear seating was too smal...Read more
l), Holden Cruze and Hyundai IX35 (both with mixed reviews regarding the engine and not enough ground clearance). Space inside the ASX is good and with the ability to raise or lower the driver’s seat height and adjust the steering column, it is easy to achieve a comfortable driving position. Rear seating is good and comfortably seats adults. I love the climate control, cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity which was simple to setup. The vehicle is good to drive, feels solid on the road and runs quiet when coasting around town or on the highway. The engine and CVT auto transmission work well to keep up with traffic flow. The CVT does step up into higher gear/ratio quickly and when approaching steep hills a firmer press on the accelerator is required to step it down. I drive in moderate traffic and have been able to return about 9.5 l/100km. This is good when compared to the Nissan X-Trail which used to do 12.5l/100km. The ASX at highway speed of 110km the engine runs at 1900 RPM and is fairly quite. On a recent highway trip while driving the average fuel consumption dropped to 6.5l/100km according to the trip computer.Purchased in January 2021.

Excellent value for money
If you are searching for a cheap SUV, with low maintenance costs, low running costs, reasonable technology and extras you can't miss a test drive of the asx.
It packs a whole lot of value for the price and offers excellent value for money. Whilst feeling a bit stiff and cheap on the interior, it is pragmatic and reasonable. drives smoothly and handles well.
You need to be realistic with what you want to purchase. If you want luxury and extreme comfort this isn't it. But if you want reliability, cheap costs and a stylish exterior then the asx is punching well above its weight.

Fantastic
Great small SUV that is very comfortable to drive with good vision, I especially like the reversing camera and have found it to be a very economic vehicle with good performance and handling. Would agree with some other reviews which mention the material on the arm rests and console seem to get dirty quickly.

Love my new ASX
The car handles really well and the shaped seats hug you and I find even with a bad back they are very comfortable, even driving long distances. Being able to adjust the height of the drivers seat is very handy. Good fuel economy and has the power to pass vehicles when I need it. Cruise control and steering wheel gadgets very easy to find and use. There is plenty of leg room in the front and even in the back which was a contributing factor when I purchased it. Field of vision is excellent. Like the big screen reversing camera once you get used t...Read more
o it, find it very handy. Found it a bit noisy on the road after having a sedan, as I have never had an SUV before. I also love the look of the outside of the SUV. Highly recommend this Mitsubishi ASX.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

love my ASX
Economy is really good on long distance driving.
I find car very comfortable and experience no fatigue as i did driving long distances with my previous car Honda Jazz. Versatility for height adjustment is good on drivers seat.
Plus getting in and out of car is awesome as the height is much better for me.
Cars in general are quite low but this car with larger wheels give me a slightly higher ride which is much more comfortable.
I also find having the large Wheels easy to mount kerbs when required.
Handsfree phone access is fantastic..
Easy to make and receive calls remotely through bluetooth.

Good car for the price
Having been virtually forced into buying an additional vehicle for my wife becuase our Ford Focus is just downright dangerous (even if Ford has chosen to fight the class action against their Powershift transmissions and ignore thousands of their customers), we looked to buy a small sedan like an i30 or Kia Cerato. But the sub $20k price was for the base models with smaller engines and not too many features.
The ASX base model has a series of accessories included in the price, including some nice alloy wheels, climate control, reversing sens...Read more

Quite good value. But!
Reasonable value for price. Quite comfortable. Good legroom. Drives well. Better acceleration than the diesel. Soundproofing could be better. The space saver tyre is useless in Australia. Why should you have to pay extra for a full size spare when one could be in it anyway at next to no extra cost. The dash head set bluetooth software is shocking. Even a Note 4 phone which is a tested phone listed in the Mitsubishi "link" website does not pair with the set. And our ipod sometimes pairs, and sometimes does not. Waiting to see if the dealer can f...Read more
ix all of this with a software reload/update. But my wife loves the car, and if the bluetooth cannot be fixed she will get bluetooth with her Garmin GPS. So. Good vehicle overall, but beware the bluetooth function. Since writing this the software in the dash head was updated and the bluetooth and IPod functions work well. Updated April 2022. Good value vehicle.Purchased in November 2021 at victor harbor mitsubishi for $24,542.00.

Joke...
Takeoff speed is terrible - put your foot down & there is a lot of noise with little movement. Mitsubishi claim 'the computer can't find anything wrong, so it is fine.' The computer doesn't drive it on the road.
It requires a 150M minimum gap to join the motorway from a standing start. It just can't build the speed quick enough for anything less.
The doors can & have been unlocked from about 50M - inside the house without knowing it had been opened. As the car is then unlocked, insurance won't cover anything stolen or damaged. Nothing wrong...Read more
according to Mitsubishi. Locking the door with the keys sets off the alarm. Not very helpful. Again, nothing wrong according to Mitsubishi. My 1998/3 litre Camry was better on fuel than the ASX is. I miss my Camry.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Paint is so thin
The car drives very well. Very economical. Very comfortable city or country driving.
The scariest issue with this car is the very thin paint. It's undercover day and night and has only done a couple of gravel roads and yet it has a lot of scratches and chips which you can barely feel but go straight down to white undercoat. Never had a car which damages so easily. PLUS I paid for ceramic paint protection. It really scares me for resale value.

Good small car but no power
This is a great car to drive but dont expect it to get you out of a problem. Sluggish on take off but with 2.0L Petrol Engine this is to be expected. Interior although comfortable is not luxurious at all. Legroom and Dash equipment is easy to read and sufficient. Not too bad on fuel. Have constant trouble with Suspension creaking and have been back to dealer but no issue located. All in all a "good" car but engine too small for its load.

Best Car ever so far
Had an ASX LS MY15.5 automatic petrol model since 24-3-16 and so far has been a delight to drive. It has all the luxury features you could need and at great price. The next model up which is about $6000 more has in my opinion features you do not want or need particularly in North Queensland like a glass roof and heated seats etc.

Great SUV
We bought it new and have now driven a couple of thousand km. the ride height is good and it drives very well.
Pros. Good on fuel
Steers well looks good, great visibility,
Cons. Slight body roll on hard corner, gear change down to low then needs a good kick to overtake, could do with a little more power.

Just passed 30000km and it has proven to be a fantastic tourer. 13km/l great on cruise control.
Needs sheepskin thick seat covers for comfort and good thick floor mats to dampen road noise.
Adelaide to geelong on one tank is exceptional.
