My 3 month old ASX dash icon to show the cruise control is set on a chosen speed has stopped displaying. It worked from new but does not display now. The other icon to show cruise control is engaged, works fine. Could it be just a fuse?
2 answers
Don't see why there should be 2x icons for the same feature
No. There is one icon to show the cruise control is turned on & one to show it is set at a chosen speed. This has been a common feature on most factory fitted cruise controls for some time now. It was there when I bought the car new.

Can you change the sound or at least the volume of the 2022 ASX Exceed indicator?
2 answers
Yes you can, We are on our second ASX and have changed the very quiet indicator sound on both to the optional setting which gives a louder ding dong sound which everyone hears. It can be set using the mode button as per instructions in the manual or ask you dealer to do it for you they should not charge for it, it is not difficult and you can't upset anything.
I find the louder tone is very irritating. Easy enough to change between the loud and soft settings as mentioned above through the mode button when car is stopped.

My 2015 asx is making a beep sound in the back of the car when I am driving. No lights or warnings on the dash display though?
1 answer
Speaker for the beeps should be in the front so I don't know why you are hearing it from the back, but the cause should display on the info screen. Will need more info to help.

Help! ASX 2018
The front door pillar lining has popped open at the top. Can I push it back on without setting off the air bag?
Thanks
1 answer
Hi. You should be able to push the lining /cover back in place. Airbag is connected to sensors which deploy the airbag after registering an impact. Just don't use a hammer.

What km to change timing belt or timing chain?
1 answer
ASX has a timing chain. Under normal driving conditions, should not need replacement. If you drive like a maniac, you may need it checked for stretching. I would ask a reputable mechanic to check it after 5yrs or 150000km under normal operation to be safe, but it should last the life of the engine (+250000km)

My window is broken on my asx 2018 model and the alarm is going of every 60 seconds. How can i disable it?

Hi Jenni M. Read the following from another forum. Haven't tried it so I don't know if it works - no guarantee.

Put the operation mode in OFF.
Raise and hold the wiper and washer switch to the MIST position for about 3 seconds. The buzzer will sound once and the function will be deactivated.
To activate the function again, raise and hold the wiper and washer switch to the MIST position for about 3 seconds. The buzzer will sound twice and the function will be activated.
Don't pull the washer/wiper stalk. If this works, you may have to do this each time your switch the car off. I'll try it when I get back to my ASX.

I have a 2018 ASX, why do I have to connect my phone via the USB port in order for it show on the display? I thought it should be there automatically when it is paired with the car.
1 answer
Once paired on Bluetooth, it should display as long as Bluetooth is turned on, on the phone. I only use USB for a usb stick to play songs once usb is selected. If phone has paired, and you have selected phone on the audio system and nothing is there, something must be wrong.

I imported a 2015 mistubishi asx from Japan to Jamaica and cannot get the timezones for North America & the Caribbean on the display. Everytime i set the clock to local date and time once the car is turned off and starts it goes back to the timezones around Japan. Any suggestions/answers?
2 answers
Hi. I had a similar problem with my 2014. I would set the tone to local, but whenever I parked off and returned to the car the time display would gain 2hrs. I would reset again but every time I started again, same problem. After about 3 weeks and numerous resets, I has almost given up but then miraculously it suddenly maintained the correct time.
I don't recall having done anything differently on the time settings, but it's been correct now for a lib time.
I was going to buy a dashboard clock off Wish as I find the time display too small (in normal mode), but haven't done so as it's now displaying the correct time.
Ok! I will try that! Hopefully mine will stick too. If not I'll just have to buy that dashboard clock. Thank you!

My new ASX ES 2022 is very hard on bumps doesn’t absorb and can be floaty I have neck stenosis and am having buyers remorse

Hi. I haven't got a new ASX (2014), but I found the ride a bit floaty and twitchy at first. Got used to it and now I don't feel that the ride is bad. It's a crossover so the ride height is slightly higher that a normal sedan which may cause the float /body roll feel. If you came from a previous well sorted car, you may find that the old design ASX doesn't compare well. Check your tyre pressure and make sure that they are not too high. 2.2 kpa should be right.
Thanks John . I started out on 35 lowered to 28 now was told by dealer not to go lower but I want to I feel every bump hard when I drive alone when my husband is in the car in the passenger seat it’s ok because of the extra weight ? Still I am disappointed for a brand new car the bumps in the road are not absorbed well at all and saw as much on some reviews
The design of the ASX goes back many years, so it's not as modern in design as new cars. Old design has just been facelifted on the interior and exterior.

I have an ASX 2016 model, which recently had a 75000km service. Since the service, when I turn key to accessories, “29months” comes on the display. What does this mean?! I’m sure it wasn’t there before the service..?
1 answer
The service display should show the distance to the next service (12month/15000km). Don't know what the '29 months' means. Maybe an accessory needs a service every 30months, can only think that it may be for the aircon or some other accessory like that. My 2014 only shows the engine/car service interval. The agents should have reset the reminder interval at the service

I have a year old ASX. Twice in that time the auto collision function has engaged by itself, completely freaking me out as you can imagine. It’s only for a second but it’s a grinding shuddering experience that jolts the steering as well. Both times I was travelling about 55-60km’s. At a high speed however one wonders! Has any body experienced this?
