Can't fault it; 3 years after purchase

published

It's been three years since I purchased this small fridge and there have not been any problems. It's very quiet, no leaks and frost free. The ice cube tray is hard to get back on its little shelf once removed so I just took that shelf out. I am pleased with this fridge and would buy another Mitsubishi.

Purchased in October 2021 at Harvey Norman.

My fridge is 4 years old and is not working, it makes a loud noise like a lawnmower and does not cool or freeze properly. Items in door freeze but items in freezer do not. Is it under warranty?

Hi Victoria,
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your fridge, When i purchased my fridge last December 2017 it came with a full 5 year Warranty from Mitsubishi.
I can only assume that when you purchased your fridge 4 years ago it also came with a 5 year Warranty, do you have all your paper work and receipt from when you
purchased the fridge you should have received a warranty booklet stating how much Warranty comes with the fridge hope this helps.
However having said that, even if you find that your fridge did not come with 5 year Warranty I would still get in touch with customer care at Mitsubishi and put in a Warranty
claim. The reason I am telling you this is because White goods are required by law to last an acceptable period of time from date of manufacture regardless what the warranty period from date of purchase.
I would say a fridge would have to last a least 10 years to be regarded as a acceptable period of time, yours is only 4 years old .
If you contact Mitsubishi and they try and say that your fridge is out of warranty, politely remind then what acceptable period of time is and if they don't agree to repair your fridge you will contact consumer affairs.
I hope this information is of help and I wish you all the best in getting your fridge repaired.
Regards Quint.
