Excellent Fridge
Great fridge plenty of room in fridge and freezer. We had to remove doors to get fridge into the house as it was to wide for our door. Nice sturdy glass shelves great door alarm as my two kids have a tendency to not close them properly. I would recommend but measure first.
Purchased in August 2021 at Harvey Norman for $2,480.00.

perfect fridge
Bought it 2 years ago and could not be happier.
It's quiet, easy to clean and more than enough room.
Stainless steel finish doesn't show finger prints or marks.
Shelves are well spaced out and well lit inside.
Ice trays draws are nice touch and easy to use.
Can't beat the 5 year warranty.

Great fridge but...
As a fridge it's excellent. Plenty of room and we like the shelf placement in the fridge section. Quiet, cold and good freezer with great ice tray. Even the interior lighting is a cut above the norm. The one we have is the stainless steel finish that suits our kitchen.
First one we had delivered in Nov 2014 got dented on a door panel most probably as a result of a tile chip hitting it as the kitchen was being renovated. It was brand new and unused and the kitchen renovators accepted blame and bought us a new one. That is service.

Great set up and operation
Quiet, spacious and well set out. Temp control very good and quiet. Black front is prone too denting and scratching. Doors seem awkward when you first get it but you soon get used to it. Freezer ice setup is good. Easy to clean, great fruit and verge draws. Smells more inside but that is how it works, keep it clean and no probs. Was going to get a French door style but they have a middle pillar which limits platters etc. Mitsi is great if you entertain a lot.

Best fridge we've owned
We've had this fridge for 2 months now and we couldn't be happier with it. It is whisper quiet, looks great and is huge inside.
We love the freezer section. It has draws of various sizes that are well thought out. In some of the other fridges we looked at they were huge, and we didn't like the thought of rummaging through one big drawer full of frozen stuff looking for something.

Perfect replacement
Our Fisher Paykel died after Cyclone Marcia forcing us to look for a new fridge. Wife's niece worked for the local Mitsubishi store and she advised us to buy this model. The insurance pay-out didn't cover purchase price so we dug deep and cut down on groceries so we could get it. We haven't had it long enough to match running costs, but it sure is perfect for us. Delivery guys were marvellous.

Need to buy more food!!!!
Brought this fridge a few weeks ago now and can't be happier. Going from a 400L fridge to this one makes it look like we have no food in the fridge. There is so much space and extra wide shelves means we don't have to stack foods on top of one another. The freeze draws are awesome. Much easier to find foods.
We opted not to get a fridge with a water or ice dispenser after reading reviews of failure rate and the higher levels of bacteria found in these areas. Plus having to cleaning it. Continue using the Brita jug or invest in changing the ...Read more
sink tap into Brita tap solution. Even in the Brisbane heat (36C) the ECO light is on. Once the fridge door is open for 30 sec, the temp rises from 3.4C to 18C. Within a 1min is back to sub 4C. Used a digital voltmeter with temperature sensor. Wish there was options to split the shelves but then I guess it would loss 100kg weight limit rating. Our previous fridge, the plastic surrounding the glass which held it in place cracked!!! Overall only time will tell the build quality and materials used. So far so good.2 comments
Just on update on this. They ended up replacing the entire unit with inverter technology. No issues yet.

Best fridge we have ever owned. Well worth the extra coin over other high end brand no longer Aussie
We have had this fridge for over a year. Be warned - it is large! Harvey Norman simply dumped it in the garage when it wouldn't fit through door in box. Even out of box it wouldn't fit, we had to remove the fridge doors, thankfully the Mitsubishi help line told us how and were fantastic.
We wanted a larger fridge and I wanted a French door upside down as I have a disability and need access to the fridge more often than the freezer. I had chosen a side-by side that was the only such one that had mostly drawers in freezer (I can't handle lots ...Read more
of really cold items at once) but my first preference was the Mitsubishi one, however it was out of my budget. In the end I stretched and sacrificed, so glad I did. Glass shelves are easy to clean. Plenty of shelf space in fridge proper, but none of it tall. However, doors provide just enough tall storage. Two crispers, one with humidity control, allow fruit and veg that like different conditions to be stored accordingly. The extra width over many similar sized French door fridges means wide platters fit no problems and there is still space on the shelf. Temperature control is spot on and very efficient. The drawers in the freezer make it easy to grab what you want without having to pull heavy drawers out (like most French door fridges require you to do) and items in other drawers are kept cold. It is whisper quiet and cheaper to run than our old one that was only half the size. It us solid and well built, with everything fitting together very well.Similar opinion? At last, a real fridge in Australia!... I love it.
Finally, a brand emerges as having good reliability...Mitsubishi ! .We can now gladly dump our 5 year old fancy heap of junk samsung which has had 4 service calls.
I have been researching and didn't see anything that would inspire me to lay out $2500 or more until the ...L4 grande. At my age i'm betting this fridge may outlast me. As for the rest it seems the quality in what is being produced has sunk to new lows.

greedy that they have lost sight of the average consumer? When is someone going to figure out that it is not "green" to build a huge expensive monster with a short life ? Miitsubishi it seems is the only one that is even close to figuring this out. As for stupid samsung, they obviously suck at making whitegoods! Stick to mobile phones. Back to the mercedes, i mean mitsubishi. The, l4 grande, what can i say... Excellent, brilliantly engineered. I'm very impressed with it's quality, design and how it works. No more problems with microorganisms in the ice and water dispenser. I hope everyones read the us national sanitation foundation's report that out of the top 10 "germiest" spots in the kitchen no.1 was the ice and water dspenser! (http://www.Dailymail.Co.Uk/femail/article-2320397/the-germ-ridden-spot-kitchen-refrigerator-water-dispensers-harbor-concerning-levels-bacteria.Html) At delivery had to take the door handles off (easy unscrew with cordless drill) due to narrow house entrance, but that was only a minor issue as i had to have this fridge no matter what. With the handles off it was 764mm, doorway was 780mm, no problem. Now looking at air conditioner sold under the brand "mitsubishi.Heavy industries", apparently another quality product . Thankyou.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

L4 Grande..Entertainers Delight
Looked at all brands for size and price. Never ran out of space over Christmas. Fabulous adjustable shelves. Whisper quiet. Heaps of freezer space for a with no hassle ice maker. Automatically adjusts to 'eco' mode. Without doubt the best fridge/freezer I have ever owned.

A well designed fridge which works as good as it looks.
This is a brilliantly engineered fridge which is really impressive to look at. It works exceptionally well although the fridge section does seem to run a little warmer than the setting but not to the extent it would affect the food. The shelf options can be limiting if you have a special setup (we have a 5l water store we keep in the fridge). Overall I am really happy with the build quality and functionality of the fridge.
My power usage has gone down since installing this fridge!
Saves power, works well, great build quality
Big (delivery wise), limited shelf options

Good buy
We have been looking around for a new fridge to replace our Westinghouse Aurora 520L capacity. Our preference 4 door French door by either Electrolux, Sharp and Mitsubishi. We were told they are all made in Thailand. Having seen and compared the design, construction and finish product of the above fridges we decided on the Mitsubishi L4 Grande. The L4 Grande got delivered last Saturday and the first thing we noticed is how quiet it is. The engineering they put into this fridge is worth the money like the Twin motor fans, door alarm and nar...Read more
row walls. The LED white strip lights inside is bright and properly placed. The glass shelves are adjustable to suit. The caddys behind the doors are large and deep. The fruit and veggie basket are good sizes and slides in/out smoothly. The freezer drawers also good sizes. No issues withdrawing the drawers out completely. The control panel is user friendly. It takes 40mins to turn water into ice. Solid steel door handles with good grip and plenty room for your knuckles. Warning........ Make sure access or entry is adequate. We managed to get it in through the family room sliding door and I still have to remove the screen door. Overall we are happy with this fridge. Value for money Too early to tellSimilar opinion? Couldn't be Happier
We bought this fridge after looking at every fridge in the shop, I even went as far as taking empty containers and trying them in all the fridges on display. We kept going back to the Mitsubishi. The space is great. If you are a family or do a lot of entertaining then I would recommend this fridge without hesitation. Drawers slide easily and are easy to see through. A very quiet fridge and freezer when running, can hardly hear it. We have had it for a couple of months and have not found anything we don't like. I would highly recommend this fridge.
The space, the style.

Great Quality Product
We are updating our kitchen and needed a new but also larger fridge. After a lot of research we realised that no matter what fridge you buy there are always some compromises i.e. door storage may be too small, shelves not wide enough etc. This Mitsubishi fridge from our point of view is a fantastic balance. We chose the black front doors which is both fashionable and very sturdy. Too many of the SS ones these days seem to dent so easily. Doors don't hold as much as our older fridge however, the flexibility with the shelving is excellent. Plent...Read more
y of good storage bins within the fridge as well. Only small issue is with the storage for the eggs but we can work around that. The ice tray in the freezer is brilliant and saves the additional cost (& worry) about 'plumbing in' a fridge. Similarly the individual storage bins in the freezer makes finding things some much easier as you allocate spots for specific items. Great value for money, 5 year full warranty, non denting front doorsSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent
Just got this fridge yesterday. As mentioned in the other review - was packaged extremely well. Large, well lit, perfect for a family. Cooled down very quickly. Nice and quiet! The fruit draws are a great size, and I love the small draw section for putting eggs and other small items into. The freezer draws move smoothly and easily in and out. The freezer trays froze quickly - no issues there. We chose the fridge because we wanted something large, but without a water and ice dispenser.

Quick cold and quiet
Fridge was well packaged. Had a chemical smell when opened and soon disappeared.
Was fast to cool down from delivery in 39 degree temp.
Rollers are smooth and easy to push into position.
Was warned in manual ice blocks take 24 hours when first used but were ready in 12.
This is a nice quiet fridge and seems capable of cooling in a short time. The sides of the fridge are a textured finish and is easy to grip. As said the handles gives plenty of room.
Shelf adjustment left a space that only beer cans could fit into on their side.

Ben T.asked
Hi, our right hand fridge door has this 'clicking' near the bottom of the hinge once opened about 1/4 of the way and now the door doesn't want to stay open as it used to.
How would I fix this? Kind regards, Ben.

Support C.Mitsubishi Electric
Hi Ben,
Were the doors removed to enable you to get the fridge into the house and the kitchen? If so, they might not be seated correctly. Our Technical Support should be able to assist. You can call us on 1300 651 808.
If not, call our Technical Support first and see if we can assist over the phone. Otherwise, you can request a service call via: http://mitsubishielectric.com.au/service-request-for-consumers.html

Hi
We have a Grande french door fridge when they first came out. We have recently moved and in the move the right hand side bottom drawer has a dent line from top to bottom where something in the move rubbed on it slightly. Is there anyway that I can get the door replaced?

Hi. Bianca
I'm sorry I really can't help you. I think this maybe a job for Mitsubishi. Perhaps they can advise how to replace or send someone to do it for you.
I would be contacting their customer service department.
Once again sorry I'm not able to help.
God luck

red 10.4C after 10/20/30mins with doors closed. Initially it drops from 24C to 11C but does not seem to go much further. No issues with the freezer sections. Suspect the circulation fan is busted.
