Lovely car
Lovely car to drive, a bit loud at times, but it felt like you were driving a smaller car - in a the best way possible. Easy to park, good vision etc. Sometimes legroom wasn't the greatest, but was comfortable enough. The 3rd row seats are useless I must say. Previously had a kluger, and notice that the Paj wasn't as refined, but it didn't affect how it drove. Have recently upgraded to a Colorado, and miss how easy the Paj was to park! Must add that it was very well equipped and priced

Real man's 4x4, love it
Very reliable with top performance
Pajero’s space and seating flexibility allow third row seats to be easily stowed under the cargo floor to create a wide, flat storage space or removed completely to give you a convenient underfloor compartment. Second row seats can also be folded down to provide space for nearly anything you want to bring along for the ride.

Good Family Car
The Car is mainly used as moms taxi. The performance of the engine is brilliant and road handling also very good. The engine can be abit noisy but it is old technology but a very good motor. Driving on gravel roads the dashboard does rattle and is a bit noisy. My wife likes the ease of driving it and has good visibility all round which she finds a good plus factor and easy to park.
The interior is very good lots of legroom nice layout of the dash board. The glove box lid plastic scuffs quite easy. The 6/7 boot seat wish it could split like t...Read more

Great 4wd for the family
We bought our new NX Pajero after looking at all of the true and tested 4wds out there.
For the price we bought the GLS for we are more than happy.
Within a couple of months we took a trip to the red centre. A family of 4 with all camping gear fit easily with a roof pod for the lightweight stuff.
We drove 8500km and averaged 10.1 l/100km over te entire trip. We were impressed with the ride comfort and noise level.
We are not too thrilled about the lack of storage inside the cabin but we bought some cheapish seat organisers for the kids in the back seat. These organisers included bottle holders so that took care of the drink holder shortage.
Overall we are very happy with the on road and off-road handling and comfort.

A 4WD that handles like a car on road
I have had my MY15 NX GLS since new and have travelled over 40,000kms. Driving on the road and highways, it handles like a car thanks to its monocoque chassis with independent front and rear suspensions. No issues on sand and 20cm deep mud and corrugations. I have yet to take it to more aggressive roads/tracks. The performance from the 3.2L, 4 cylinder VGT turbo is suprisingly good. Going up the freeway tunnel it accelerates without fuss with over 500kg of passengers. Average fuel usage is 9.5L/100kms and that is with lots of city start/stop tr...Read more
affic. On the freeway, it returns 7.5L/100km. Noise is not that much of an issue especially with extra noise insulation and acoustic windscreen. One can only hear the diesel at idle speeds with the windows down. I have driven to Mount Gambier, Mornington Penningsula via the Great Ocear Road, Yorke Penningsula and Goolwa, Victor Harbor, Waitpinga Beach and it ate away to highways with ease. It is surprisingly easy to park for such a large car, mainly due to the very short front overhangs. I also fitted aftermarket front parking sensors and this made it even easier to park. With the interior, it is very spacious, although it would have been better if the second row of seats could move back and forth. Moving it forth a little would give the 3rd row seats a little bit more leg room. The 3rd row seat floor is also a tad too high, making it feel more cramped then the second row. The fully adjustable electric driver's seat is excellent although it does not have seating position memory. The dashboad does feel a little outdated but is very functional. The centre display shows all the trip computer info, compass, outside temp etc etc. The 7" MMCS is also very nice but it is annoying that one cannot program the GPS or perform some other functions once the car is in motion (ADR rules I know), eventough a passenger could do it. Interestingly, my oldest gets motion sickness in a sedan on winding roads but have no issues in the Pajero. Reliability wise, I have not hade any issues with it and the fixed price scheduled servicing keeps the costs down. It is about to go for its more expensive 45,000K full service. Tyres still have plenty of tread left as do the brake pads. The large 4-pot opposed caliper brakes make short work of stopping the 2.35 tonne Pajero (It has full aftermarket under-body protection, nudge bar and tow bar, hence the weight). Overall, I am quite satisfied with it and is excellent value for money.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Pajero Sports GLS gives what is promised
Handling and performance of the 4wd is terrific. No problems there. Not noisy either.
The interior leaves a lot to be desired. For example there are too many sun reflective trimmings in and around the two front seats which when the sun hits them, is very blinding for both the driver and front passenger. There is a shortage of usb points and the two that are included are in the most awkward position of all. It is by feel only that you can plug a device into the usb point, as you can't see it from the front seats. It's located in the console bet...Read more

Great car that exceeds my expectations
Couldnt ask for better. Proven reliability and reasonable fuel economy. Top value for money. Not as modern as the sport model but a better 4wd with a bigger inside feel. Finish is great. The only down side is when towing the spare tyre prevents the door opening fully. A treg hitch would solve. Tows a large van easily.

Love this car however...
Love this car however, after market accessories and 4WD components are hard to come by. For example, mmy 2016 NX Pajero comes with 18 inch rims. Hubby wants 17 inch but because of the brake calipers they're hard to fit. As for its capabilities as a 4WD - we're happy with it. It can keep up with the Tritons, Rangers and Prado's. Doesn't even come close to the Toyota 200 series though. All in all its a good car for city driving and 4 wheel driving.

Great 4x4 wheel wagon
After lots of search & price matching I stuck with two, either Toyota or Pajero. End up buying NX 2016 Pajero disel. It is a great 4x4 wheel .Last year we went up to cape york & came back. We drove 21000 km & we problem with the car. It handled very well all the corrugated roads & specially telegraphic track. This year we are traveling Northern part of Australia Kimberley & other region. We will let you know how did that go.Like few other reviews, the sound system is very poor & if you stop the car try to get the navigation where there no pho...Read more
ne reception we can't get the navigation. Mitsubishi have re consider putting some better system in the car .After all spending such a huge amount should have better system. Other wise it is a beautiful 4x4 can't fault. December 29th 2017 Update: Very reliable vehicle This time we drove about 19000 km.via Kimberley threw Gibb River road.Gibb River road was very corrugated ..but the car handled very well. We are very happy with the performance of the Pajero. Beautiful wagon & highly recommended .Compare with some other diesel 4x4 wheel drive car Pajero is not that noisy. I must say other than we had few puncture we are so pleased with the car.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very underrated 4WD
Just over a year ago I needed to upgrade my 4WD. My previous 'luxury' 4WD was the Bees Knees. A new one was not an option. Living the typical 'Aussie' outdoor lifestyle with camping, 4wding, etc. and needing the car to serve as my work commute too, the Pajero ticked all the boxes.
Whilst rather mundane in it's technology it's off-road capabilities are highly underrated. It is a relatively solid car with a steady behavior on bitumen and gravel.
The cockpit is snug with everything in close proximity making it easy to navigate your way around...Read more

Great valued all rounder
The NX PAJERO is a 4x4 with proven reliability and a good reputation. I have been impressed by its driveability and feel it is definitely value for money. It is a bit old school in its technology and noise levels but feels solid and performs well. The interior is a bit bland but then again most 4x4s are but I love the traditional exterior with a touch of bling with the chrome highlights . I have been averaging around 8.5 l/100kms fuel economy and 15.5l/100kms when towing our 2500kg caravan.

is a comfortable, go anywhere 4x4 and is equally at home on the bitumen or off road. It is a bit dated in design but everything works as it is intended and it does most things thrown at it without any fuss. A great allrounder and well worth considering if in the market for a family wagon that can go anywhere.Purchased in January 2021 for $49,500.00.

Very Surprised
I tried a number of similar vehicles. Test drove many. I didn't consider a Pajero and was ready to purchase a Prado, when I decided to pop into a Mitsubishi dealership down the road. Surprisingly I found the Pajero diesel more responsive than Prado and tended to hold the road better or felt firmer. What topped it off was that the Pajero exceed MY2016 (top of the range) was $17k cheaper than the mid range Prado. Obviously bought the Pajero towards end of financial year. Had it for 3 months now and very happy with it. The extras are awesome to boot. So glad I test drove Pajero.

Great family wagon
Intented to get an outlander for it mid size, 7 seats and its price. But tested the pajero instead, out of interest. Love it at first drive. Moving from a Lancer it gives me the road presence and the confidence. Ride is is marginally better than my CJ Lancer and it sound better than my Lan-blender.
Selected this instead of a Kia sorento or Hyundai Santa Fe due to it ground clearance and proven 4wd ability. MUX is in my list but my Miss is turned off by its ute like interior and overall size. Prado and Everest is too expensive nothing below ...Read more
50ķ and the Sport, well it's yet proven. So far over 9000km on the clock and not a mech problem. Been to several places Mt Mee after the rain, Condamine river twice and couple of the beaches, no problem. All the time on 4wd only and yet tested other modes or the locker. It drives well on highway averaging 7.5 with 5 persons on board and high 10 to 12 in town. Coming from a Lancer all controls are simple and the dash is well layout. Some might say its design is old but i am going for simplicity, less to fail. Cabin noise is better than previous models, but not as good as the koerans or the premium brands. Thanks to it monocoque body and full independent suspension, don't feed like a boat, that's how my in-laws compare this to a R51 pathfinder. The 5 speed is smooth and intelligent (6 would be better), matching well to the engine output. Both are old tech, but it works well. Tested and proven for the past 16 years with most issues sort out in the earlier models, so a big tick in my reliability criteria.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Pajero Sport 2016 Fantastic 4x4
Only 1 week old but loving it. Great 4x4 characteristics and as car reviews show. Very quiet cabin and soft leather seats give a sense of quality and a plush ride make traveling our country a pleasure. Yet to get my head around all the "infotainment" but would like the "nag screen" to accept my "agree" to be the final say not every time the ignition is switched on. Will update after hitching up the 2.2t caravan. Still getting used to "fly by wire" accelerator as all previous cars have had cable throttle. Do like the 8 speed auto and the paddle ...Read more
shifters on the steering wheel. Awesome sounding stereo and DVD in the back for grandkids (5 Seater model) Do like handeling and smooth ride. Not sure about 8 Ltr per 100 Klms as advetised more like 8.7 but yet to settle in. Do like 5 year warranty and yearly service. LED Lighting Vgood. Update....Its settled in more and is light to drive and very maneuverable. Continues to impress me with 6 L per 100k (on the dash) and 5.7 @ 80klms (roadworks). Had it down the beach when a bogged Jeep GC asked me for a tow out of the sand (wheres a camera when u need one). Very capable 4X4 as the transmission feels very assured. Take one for a test drive and you'll love it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
No GPS
I have just purchased my fourth Pajero Exceed as I have previously found them to be a comfortable and reasonably capable 4WD. I now regret this purchase as the Pajero has now only got a fourth rate navigation system based on Apple maps which is not a true GPS and only works where there is internet coverage .i.e only where I don't need it.
User unfriendly as I have to fiddle with entering destinations on my phone and cables to the glove box. This is a very big backward step and I will have to buy a Tom Tom to get the safety of proper GPS coverage on holiday.
Mitsubishi think it is wonderful and have no advise to offer.

Cheap systems and equipment
Having recently purchase the Pajero Exceed, I have been exposed to issues I would not have expected from a vehicle of this price.
After driving on the freeway at just on the speed limit on three occasions and being abused for holding up traffic, which has never happened to me before, I used first one than two and finally three different GPS's to check my speed. All three indicated that I was traveling slower than the vehicle indicated speed. This variation ranged from 5 km/h at 70 km/h, to 10 km/h at 110 km/h out on the open road.
A...Read more
rmed with this information and thinking this was merely a calibration issue that could be easily corrected, I requested at the first 1500 km service for this issue to be addressed. I was met with the same response from the service centre, right through to the customer service head office and technical support. They refused to remedy this issue, stating in their response "The vehicle complies with Australian Design Rules as it was built, and conforms to the intended design tolerance's provided by MMC (Japan)". Their was no further interest by Misubishi to assist with the rectification of the problem. This leaves me now in a 70K vehicle, having to guesstimate the speed when wanting to travel on or near the speed limit. Another issue is the so advertised "Sat Nav" system. There is no Sat Nav system but only Bluetooth linked monitor you need to connect your mobile phone to so that you use your own system of navigation.Similar opinion? Model year 2016 Mitsubishis are covered by a five-year/100,000km warranty in place of the previous five-year/130,000km deal. It won't affect most private buyers who are unlikely to rack up 20,000km a year. Service intervals are 12 months/15,000km; the first four trips will cost $2600.

Love this car
Beautiful to drive only picked it up yesterday but seems excellent build quality very comfortable. Great ride, represents excellent value compared to the prado, and in my opinion slightly more comfortable, although prado does have a more modern dash layout, the Pajero has a better infotainment unit with Apple car play or google car play, great feature. Well worth a look and a lot better ride than a ute based suv and the deals Mitsubishi are doing at the moment are amazing!
Purchased in June 2021 for $55,000.00.

not so exceeding NX Exceed
Purchased a 2016 Pajero Exceed the 3rd over the past 20 odd years Mitsubishi have not done much to embrace later tech as most other brands the most disappointing is the car play gps you need to have an I Phone and use your down load for a vehicle that cost $65000+ when asked Mitsubishi they gave me the brushoff the remainder of the vehicle is ok however my next 4x4 will not be a mitsubishi as the customer is not important enough i hope that i dont have any serious problems.

Great vehicle
I had the choice of the Ford Everest, Discovery and the Toyota Prado and Fortuner. Budget $70k. Researched and drove all. Sold my 3 year old Jeep and bought a GLS Pajero. Done 7,500 kms without any issues. Great on beach and as a daily long commuter. Solid vehicle which performs well on all surfaces. Nothing fallen off and no issues whatsoever. Jeep always niggled me about reliability and the odd limp mode at inconvenient times was a concern although it had great off road capability. rough the Simpson Desert and the Pajero has a solid reputation for being reliable. I have added snorkel, towbar, AT tyres and bull bar. Total on road was $58k Best value in the market. Many would say it's old technology but when you are on an island or in the bush it's comforting to know that there is proven reliability under the bonnet. Overall a comfortable truck that has plenty of power and space and well worth a look if you want a great tow car that will last 300,000 kms without issues.Similar opinion?
