Great machines
Excellent quick cooling and heating, great economy and quiet functions, look great. Have previously had Daikin, would never buy again and would always buy Mitsubishi. Great price. Quiet, easy to use remote, preset for economic cooling and heating, also has manual controls to rapidly heat or cool. Electricity bills have been good despite using two air conditioners throughout summer.

Fantastic product - so glad I purchased
This is a very efficient and quite economical split system and I'm very happy that we purchased and installed. Seems to work extremely well - very quick to heat the majority of our quite large house, while being very quiet. The only issue is the amount of condensation, but I guess it's just pulling moisture from the air - will have to pipe this out to our garden using some kind of hose. All-in-all though, great split system which will be used in our household primarily for heating during winter, rather than our gas ducted heating.

Perfection on a wall
Brilliant for cooling, just started using it for heating and seems brilliant for that as well!! It is whisper quiet (I have to look to see if it is still on!), and the manual and remote are easy to understand and use even for me. No problems with the installation either. This unit has made living so much better - an absolute joy to have this in my life, it covers a large area in a short time without a fuss.

Very Quiet and Effective Product
Very satisfied with the brand product, it cools the room fast and very powerful too even on a really hot day. It can keep the room temperature perfectly. So it won't be too cold or too warm. It has no sound and the air con is really silent which makes it more comfier. Has a range of functions too, so you can set timer, swing modes etc..
The installation process was not that hard, took them an hour or two to install. I install it in my living area and it can reach to the bedrooms too when the doors are open so the rooms are nice and cooling.

Working perfectly!
Cooling and heating up the place really quickly, very quiet, sleek design and very easy and intuitive controls. Loving the timer option! Quite fare price for this type of unit. It was a real saviour when we had +45C this year. We bought two units about a year ago and they perfectly condition the whole two bedroom house.

Perfectly Quiet
Just had installed in large Master bedroom and can't believe how quiet it runs and not even on silent setting. Keeps temperature in room perfectly. We also installed ceiling fan in the room and this really helps to circulate the air around the room ensuring hot air isn't up at the roof. Have an older larger split system unit in living area, other end of house, different brand, can't even compare it to this one per noise and effectiveness. Will definitely replace with large MHI model when time comes.

Very happy with this product
Great unit, nice and quiet, very powerful even though our room is rather large it cools the whole room quickly. When we had 40-45 degree days the unit struggled (like most others as Ive since heard) however managed to bring the temp inside down to a nice comfortable level (although you couldnt say it was cool). Outside the unit is quiet. Has a range of functions, timer, chaos mode, swing modes etc. Would definately recommend especially for a larger room.

This is a great a/c and quiet.
Great a/c and cools two large rooms by five degrees within an hour. The performance in hot weather was outstanding even though house was very hot. So much better than evaporative cooling. Settings on the remote control was very easy to understand and use without having to read instruction manual and maintenance very easy. Install was about 4hrs. Would highly recommend to others.

Good aircon - don't be fooled by the cashback offer though
Aircon unit is great, works well and does the job. Very efficient and quiet.
The cashback offer though is as far as I can tell not real, so don't expect to get the $250 or $300 cashback. Have been chasing for weeks, I don't think they will ever pay it.

Great Aircon...Very quiet and very efficient!!
Bought this Aircon in January 2017. Got it installed straight away by an Aircon installation company and couldn't be more happy to get that done to beat the Perth's heat. Works like a charm. Have only tested the cooling of the unit. It cools the room very fast and also it is very efficient with the consumption of the power. With the price range and the efficiency of power there is no other model in the market which is close to this Aircon.
I would definitely recommend to any one who wants to buy a split Aircon for a bed room, this is the one to go with. And you can't go wrong with 5 year warranty offered by Mitsubishi.

Does the job!
I purchased 2 x Mitsubishi Heavy Industries 2.5kw Reverse Split Air Conditioners a month ago and the cooling performance is amazing for their size. They worked well in 40 degree heat to cool a 3 bedroom house. I was very impressed. The units are also quiet and easy to use.

Recommend Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Split Air Conditioners
Cooling performance is great, as soon as it is switched on you can feel the room start cooling instantly. Have only purchased just before Christmas (summer) therefore have not used heat setting yet.
Both indoor and outdoor unit is quiet, only a minor humming sound and when on lowest speed you cant hear it at all.
Installation was straight forward for the installer, only took approx 1.5 hrs.
It is easy to use with remote control, has eco mode, on & off timer, sleep timer, adjustable swing mode, and other functions.

What a relief! Really easy, really effective.
Moved into a new house in September and by December the heat wave was well and truly on us. I was not keen on air conditioning - I thought it would cost too much to get decent unit and have it installed. I thought it would look ugly and would be really expensive to run. Well, I was wrong all around.
The Mitsubishi SRK 7.1kW model was recommended by a couple of local installers. I could have bought it for about $1700 but decided to buy through one of the locals, total cost $2300 installed. The split system meant I could 'hide' the big motor/f...Read more
an part under the deck and the pipe running up to the inside unit is quite narrow, you hardly notice it. Inside it looks great, neat lines and again you don't really notice it. The only difficult thing was that the house is quite old and needed an additional circuit to run the air conditioning. Adding the circuit meant an upgrade to a new mains box. An added expense, but something I would have had to fix anyway eventually. The Mitsubishi performance is excellent. It runs quietly, cools the large open plan living/dining area quickly and effectively. The remote is easy to use once you read the manual (and work out about opening the little doors on the remote to find the extra controls!) You can control the vertical and horizontal swing which means you can direct the cool air only where you need it. There are some more sophisticated options and a timer but we haven't had to use them yet. We usually set it to auto to cool down, then run it on 21 or 22 degrees and set the fan speed to what is comfortable on the day. Really easy, really effective. We've only had one electricity bill since installing, but so far it seems affordable to run. Great to have relief from the heat!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Quiet and so good at cooling in the 40 degree temps of late
Awesome air con unit. Very happy, works amazing, so quiet even on the maximum speed, etc. Install was quick and easy, the guys only took a few hours to install. Easy to use remote. I highly recommend this unit. After reading the Choice reviews and seeing it was number 1 for being quiet and energy efficient I didn't hesitate. I have bought Mitsubishi before and never had any problems so I trust the brand.

Should not have procrastinated - should have done this years ago
Had been considering installing an A/c for the past 3 years but was always putting it off as the area of 14 mtrs x 5 mtrs (lounge, dining and kitchen small entry ) has over 3 mtre cathedral ceiling and has all sorts of different ceiling angles so was concerned that the unit would not cool the area, plus plenty of glass facing east and north.
Well last week bit the bullet and got my sparky to install a SRK92ZMA, did quite a bit of research, was looking at LG, Panasonic, Fujitsu and Mitsubishi Heavy, LG was $1000 cheaper and rep said if it was h...Read more

It's hot I'm cool It's cool I'm warm
Having a large high ceiling open planned room I was very worried whether any air conditioner would work. After consulting several websites I decided on this model. I am ecstatic with its performance. It is so quick to cool not only my big high ceiling room but it also flows into the home theatre and main bedroom. It's performance is exceptional and we are only using low fan speed and 24 degree settings. An unseasonably cold spell gave us the opportunity to use the heat settings and we were thrilled that the same exceptional result was attained....Read more
With some trepidation I went outside to listen to how noisy the external unit was given the fantastic results inside. The external unit was effortlessly purring away at a very low purr. I plus the neighbours were delighted! Highly recommend this air conditioner.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Totally loving this system - perfect
Brought this from the Gas and Cool shop in Shepparton. Great experience with the installation. Whilst we have ducted evaporative air in our home, this system is invaluable. On humid days just close the house up and enjoy economical cooling. Fabulously quiet and we find that this unit cools most of our large home; which exceeds our expectations as we thought it would be mainly the living areas.

Quiet, and plenty of grunt
I got this installed to replace an old (10+ years) 6.5 kW Daikin to cover a large open living area.
What i like about the units are:
- effortless cooling power - the external unit doesn't grunt like the Daikin when being pushed, it runs nice and quiet.
- the head unit is quiet, powerful fan and can bring the temperature down very quickly
- Similarly the heating function is just as effective and efficient in the cooler months. It effectively has replaced our central ducted gas heating during the day feeding of our solar panels.

Quiet, efficient, and wonderful
We just replaced an old air conditioner, and were recommended to go with Mitsubishi Heavy Industry models. We put 3 in and have been delighted! They are so much quieter, have a great range of options from Economy, Quiet through to Auto, and the cooling is extremely efficient. We couldn't be more pleased!

Does the temperature sensor work whilst using the unit in heating mode? or just in cooling mode?
I ask because as we are now approaching winter I am using the unit in heating mode, and it seems to completely ignore the temperature setting. So if I set it to heat to 23 for example, it just keeps eating and heating without stopping, last night it is heated the room up to 26 without stopping !

Hi Peter,
The temperature sensor (located within the wall mounted indoor unit) works in both heating and cooling mode. If you are are using a separate temperature sensor, it will produce a different reading to the temperature sensor within the unit itself given it being in a different location. If you find where you're located in the room is too hot (according to your separate temp sensor) we'd suggest reducing the temperature by a few degrees.
Hmmmm....I have a separate gas heating system which I am trying not to use. It has a temperature sensor which seems to be very aligned to my room thermometer. I can set the heat to, say, 24 degrees, and when it's sensor detects it had reached this temperature, it correctly cuts of the heating. The room thermometer at this time also reads 24 degrees. The thermometer is on an internal wall about 3 metres from the Mitsubishi. If I set the Mitsubishi to 24 degrees it doesn't stop! It is still pumping out heat when the room thermometer is now reading 28 degrees!!
This seems to be a very high margin of error!
Glen A.Mitsubishi Heavy Industries
Hi Peter,
If your room thermometer and the sensor for your independent heating system are in an area which directly receives heated air from the air conditioner, it may result in a higher temperature reading and might not be reflective of the average room temperature. There are a number of factors which influence room temperatures and airflow however if you are using two different sensors in different locations it's likely that you always have a discrepancy.
You may wish to try and deactivate the offset temperature on the unit by turning the unit on. Once it is on, you can press and hold the main power button on the indoor unit (not the remote) for 30s until you hear two beeps. Refer to the user manual for the location of the power button.
If you still believe there is an issue with your unit, you can submit a warranty service request on our website - https://mhiaa.com.au/consumer-help-centre/warranty/warranty-service-request/
