Poor app and product quality
Purchased the moochies watch from Kogan and my first experience setting it up was dreadful. Downloaded and installed the Android app to my phone. Attempted to pair the watch. It failed to pair. Then I tried to pair again and ended up with two watches paired. Pairing was successful on the third attempt. App crashed while I was using it. I then tried to call the watch from the app interface and the watch kept rejecting my calls. I tried calling from the watch to my phone and it worked ok. interface and it worked ok. Conclusion the app is buggy. The build quality of the product is not like the photos on any of the website. It is cheap plastic. Even the screen is plastic which will be all scratched after a very short time. The UI on the watch is very laggy and takes a long time to respond, something you don't expect in this modern age. Location does not seem as accurate as stated on their website. Call audio quality is also very poor. I regret purchasing this and will returning it for a refund. It is cheap quality which will not last more than a few months. There are much better watches out there.1 comment

Not suitable for everyone.
Bought a Moochie watch for my son with high hopes. Their website says it has GPS but this is a deception. It doesn't connect with Satellites as the name suggests but rather uses cell tower triangulation which is completely useless in an area that has poor reception and hardly any cell towers. On their website it clearly states, "Track your child at any time. Anywhere in the world." A straight up lie because it won't work in 95% of Australia. Even though I believed I was purchasing the item brand new in box. They couldn't even confirm with me if that was the case or not. I just wish I had seen these reviews before I purchased. Quality not great for price
Area where watch band joins watch rusted out in less than one month (after getting wet once! Replaced through Kogan on warranty with no issues though, which was good, but did require a complete change of sim etc which was a pain). Extra band is a complete waste of money and is very poor quality compared to the main band. GPS location is sometimes great (within meters) and sometimes very poor (as in: across the other side of the state, or occasionally a different country altogether). e sim plans and is not located at all in the app (which it should be). The “class-mode” functionality is set in 30 minute blocks which does not fit with our school. At one point, an alarm was set on the watch that we could not control in the app - again, full app control should be possible. For us, the two positives are that it states the best waterproof rating of any watch tracker for kids and that it has allowed us to communicate with our daughter when she is in times of high stress. We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the class mode settings and rest assured we plan to upgrade our class mode feature so you will be able to set any times you wish, we really do appreciate your patience with this also. In regards to the GPS, our Moochies watches can only give an accurate GPS reading if the Moochies is connected to strong 3G Vodafone signal (for our Australian customers) and if it is connected to strong 3G EE signal (for our U.K. customers), and only once both watches are connected to strong 3G signal it will then show a reading of 5 to 20 metres of accuracy due to the watch's small antennae. If the Moochies is in a location where there is weak or no 3G Vodafone/3G EE signal, then the GPS will not show its location accurately, due to weak connection with the 3G network. The network is sadly beyond our control and it is never our intention to cause you any inconvenience. Do your research, pay a little more for a lot better
I never post reviews but we've had a terrible experience - as it looks like many have. Worked great for a couple of weeks then as soon as we tried to connect to a different WIFI nothing would work properly. Apparently this is because I'm in Regional Victoria and we are 'black listed' however they allowed us to pay for and receive the watch to our home address. aste defensive responses that repeatedly told us that we were 'doing it wrong' and all their bad reviews were from people who don't pay attention and are doing everything wrong.... please stop that. It's frustrating, time wasting and you end up admitting that your product isn't always suitable so please just be helpful! The network issues are sadly beyond our control - our Moochies watches work just like a mobile phone, for example if you were to take your personal mobile phone into an area with little to no coverage it would also experience connection issues. Excellent Support Team
I bought this watch for my 9 year old Son as a Christmas gift, after setting the watch up for him he wanted to wear it but couldn’t switch it on as the function button had come off, I sent an email to inform the Support Team but nobody had replied so after a few weeks of waiting I sent another email and had a rapid, professional and efficient response from Andrew who was very supportive and friendly he told me to send the watch back and I will receive a new one, now I have one very happy Son :-)

Love it!!
On our 3rd generation of watch, more impressed each time. Can honestly say that they are constantly updating to iron out identified kinks. Customer service is second to none (Andrew is a legend!), couldn’t be more impressed. Our latest watch arrived 24 hours after purchased online and we’re already using it to video chat with friends overseas. Fabulous on every level :)

Waste of Time and Money
Very unsatisfied! Bought two watches for my 9yo and 10yo.
Have had about 4 exchanges between the two. When the wathes work they do pretty much what they suppose to do. But after about a month or so they suddently stop working. The service is good. But then you embark on an endless trail of emails trying to trouble shoot, eventuating in a replacement with new device and sim card. need to set up from scratch again with new contacts and all. WASTE OF TIME AND frustrating.

Fantastic product!!!
I purchased this product for my daughter and for my piece of mind. I'm happy with the product and believe the customer service to be great too. Waste of money
You have to pay monthly for the watch to work. Its not easy to set up and not as entertaining as it should be for a child. My daughter’s one worked for less than two months and all of the sudden the watch stopped working. Tried to solve the issue with technical support but they couldn’t and refused giving me a refund. Ive got a very frustrated child at home now and feel like i wasted 120 pounds!

I can't receive emojis or voice messages any more after the app did an upgrade. It was working perfectly until then. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app but that hasn't fixed the problem

Fraudulent company do not deal with these rats
App isn't compatible with Samsung Galaxy s9+. I unfortunately purchased off the website. I've sent multiple equests for a refund for a product that can't be used and have been told to download non verified versions of the app to the latest correspondence of "we'll let you know when it works".
If they can even get an app to work I wouldn't be entrusting them with location tracking of children.
Complete waste of money and they've the audacity to charge me for a monthly SIM fee that I can't even use.
I will be making this a tribunal matter. Do not recommend this company or product at all. Complete and utter scam rats.
