Very poor quality

published

Purchased this with Flybuys points in March 2020. Looks good but doesn't work correctly. Bread is toasted very unevenly. When cycle finishes the toast is often ejected on to the floor. Very bad purchase decision. Don't touch this brand.

Purchased in March 2021 at Flybuys.

Very poor value for money.

published

Very poor value for money. One side ceased working on the second attempt to use it. Mind you, it looks good! but it doesn't actually toast. The elements don't appear to be high enough wattage.

Purchased in March 2021 at A A Furnishers.

Hi Mikel,
Thank you for taking the time to review your toaster. The toaster has a 2 year manufacturer warranty so please take it back to the retailer with your purchase receipt for replacement.

The said retailer has gone out of business.

Worst toaster ever

published

If you like warm bread but hate toast, definitely get this toaster. It takes 15 minutes to cook crumpets and when finished the crumpets is still not warm enough to melt butter. Why does it have a snowflake setting? Why does it trip the safety switch? More importantly why doesn't it actually make toast? Even on the highest longest setting all we get is warm bread. Ok it is a slight over exaduration but 12 minutes and 3 attempts this morning to cook a crumpet (no crumpet setting) is ridiculous.

Slow Slow Slow Slow

published

You buy a toaster to toast bread quickly, that's its only purpose, this thing is so slow that I thought I would die of old age before it did the job it was designed to do. It toasts that slow that it dries the bread to a crunchy piece of hard crumbly crust that you cant eat without finishing with crumbs down your shirt front. when I see it sitting on the bench top looking all sparkling cute I feel like smashing it to the floor and jumping on it. I hate it, hate it hate it.

Electrically blew-up!

published

Electrically shorted, loud bang, flash of sparks, trip the breaker in the distribution board, change my pants. That is the order of events when I pushed one of the slice levers down FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME! I wished my Morphy had morphed into a sunbeam or Russell Hobbs! Bye bye Morphy Richards, Hope I never see you again! Had no problem obtaining a full refund though. Thank you Target.

Broken after 14 months

published

Not happy. Bought this for quality and wasnt cheap. One of the elements burnt out and the right side no longer works.
I have gotten the old $20 breville toaster out and it still works after 15 yrs!!
I expected such an expensive toaster to last much longer.
I no longer have the receipt to chase up warranty.

It broke!

Rubbish

published

I totally agree with all the negative comments about this toaster. The only positive is the looks. I also had all the writings rub off from the dials. The toast is very unevenly browned. I have noticed that the heating elements heat up differently in each of the 4 compartments. Don't know why but some sides seem to glow brighter than others which explains why the it produces such an uneven toast. Not recommended at all.

Slow and uneven toast. Writings on dial all rubbed off

Looks are not everything

published

I fel in love with the look of this toaster. I bought the classic white which has the old world feel to it. But thats as far as I can praise it. The toaster is slow, bowns the bread unevenly and all the writings have come off. I can't believe that Morphy Richards can not produce a dial that the writing rubs off after a short period of time. I have had mine for only 6 months and all the dials have no writings on them anymore. You have to guess how brown you want the bread. Even the flipping "Morphy Richards" label has rubbed off. Doesn't give a very good impression of the quality of their products in general. I think I might stay away from Morphy Richards in the future.

Slowest Toaster I Have Ever Owned.

published

This is absolutely the slowest toaster I have ever owned. I honestly wish I'd purchased a $20 Kambrook toaster or something along those lines. I received this as freebie with a Coles fly buys points redemption. If I'd actually paid my hard earned for it I would be absolutely ropeable. Terrible.
It looks pretty!
Sloooooooow!
