just don't do it, please, it was my last resort and i wish i hadn't have

published

I followed all the safety guides, even the warnings online. We were out of the house for over 8 hours, covered all the surfaces etc. My wife's currently asleep in our room which was treated that morning and she's woken up saying how terrible she feels. All the classic symptoms you read online, nausea, headache etc. I walk into the house (i work next to the house at night) and I immediately get a headache. My 3yo kid is asleep inside also and man I'm kicking myself.

Purchased in October 2021 at Coles.

Trusted brand no more

I bought the indoor outdoor spray 3 weeks on and my home still has cockroaches running around, very disappointing. Switching to Aldi brand, cheaper and I hear they work.

Waste of Money

I thought the Mortein is a popular brand as well as expensive and it would certainly do the job.But the bombd didn't kill the cockroaches..They were crawling all around when I opened the doors after two hours..I was very angry and disappointed..

Completely bloody useless

published

After setting the bombs to spray nasty insecticide through my apartment I was devastated to find one week on just as many nasty little cockroaches parading through my place as last week. So I guess iI have needlessly exposed my family to nasty insecticides for no reason while I continue to stalk the little thing with my regular can of surface spray. Bye bye Mortein!

Easy to use

published

Read reviews after I bought 18 cans. I was tempted to go get a refund after all the bad reviews, especially about how hard they were to use.

I must say every single can was very easy to use. Push the tab down, it locks in and job done.

Bought them to get rid of an ant problem we had all over our house. Whether it works or not is yet to be confirmed. I only bombed the house today so I will post again to let everyone know if it works or not.

But again, I found them extremely easy to use

Update. It’s been a few weeks and I haven’t seen a single ant or spider in the house. There are plenty of ants around the house and crawling along the edge of the house but none inside. Worked well!

Does not kill spiders

published

Bombed the whole house. One in each bedroom and bathroom and two in linge dining room. Trying to get rid of daddy long legs but it just seemed to make them breed more. Did absolutely nothing. What a waste of $60. Never again will I buy Mortein product. Don’t waste your money. Talk to the experts and get a product that works. I feel ripped off.

Made NO difference in eradicating small house spiders

published

I set up the Crawling Insect Control Bombs in each room of our home. We went overseas for 3 weeks. I now still have baby spiders in our ensuite and dining room. I let off another bomb in the ensuite and no difference. I ended up spraying the spiders with a surface spray. I purchased 12 cans (4 pkts), what a waste of money.

A bomb that takes three weeks to go off?

published

Your product was non useful and doesnt work.

Followed the guidelines and let off 8 bombs and didnt work the first time set off another 8 bombs and still did not work. Not happy at all money wasted.

Tabs are difficult

published

The tabs were difficult to press down and it took me two tries. It works best if you put the bomb on the floor and press the tab down with two thumbs. I’m weak but they worked for me when I did it like that.

Tabs will not lock in place - wasted money on 6 cans

published

I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased. I've used other brands of bombs several times and this is the first time I've tried the Mortein brand. Didn't think there would be a problem but I couldn't even get the tab down to lock on any of the cans. Will never ever buy again, was a total waste of money as now will have to go out and buy my usual brand.
DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND

Tabs don't work

published

Neither my son nor I were able to lock the tabs on the cans. I managed one out of 4 and was not going to try any more cans. A lot of spray went onto my hand in my efforts to lock the tab. A health Hazzard?,

do the bombs affect pot plants

I don’t know the correct answer, but I would think it could affect the leaves and soil, so it’s best to just cover up with a bag, that won’t harm the plants,

Do I need to take away all utensils, grocery and bed sheets before using mortien bomb?

1 answer
The View I.
The View I.

no, not at all, fleas could be anywhere, I left my sheets and bedding on, I found a flea in my shirt, that was in my drawer, so the flea bomb didnt work effectively, fleas will live close to the food source, so will be in your bedding and clothes, or your pets bedding, they also live in the carpets, so its advisable to empty room out to get carpet, or how I did my carpet, I covered floor in salt, then put a tarpaulin over it, so fleas couldnt escap

We have central heating in our ceiling space, and an Ant problem,
Not sure how to turn the pilot lamp of and on, is it safe to leave on, and place bomb 6 metres away in ceiling, and a second bomb 12 meters away ?

I don’t know exact answer, but you don’t want to turn the pilot light off, as gas will still be coming out, so you need to turn gas off aswel, I could be wrong, the control bomb is flammable so you don’t want it to ignite, but have heard others leaving theirs on with no problem,

The control bomb will not stop the ants, it will only kill the ants wandering, the queen is what you need to get, as she produces the eggs, and she is normally hidden, what you need is ant poison, the Ants will take the poison back to the nest and feed the rest. And eliminate all them
