Mountain Buggy Duet Questions & Answers

They only seem to have one side of a hood available on the website for the 2011/2012 model, but I had a 2012 duet and I purchased 2014 hoods and they still worked they just didn’t have the buttons to attach to the seat frame, it made no difference to the seats just a little gap when the seats were reclined flat. They just attached with toggles around the top bar instead of buttoning on. Hope this helps!

Thanks for looking- I appreciate it. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any double storm covers for sale on their website (only single), so was hoping there might be another option.

Haven't had that problem with mine nor my sister's MB duet pram... I'd take it to a bicycle repair place to see if it's a simple wheel or tyre issue.

Not with the duet, but my terrain does have a very subtle click. I think the tire needs to be removed and cleaned and put back on.

I have this issue with a v3, I purchased one second hand and around the wheel it has corroded, previous owner must have taken it to the beach lots... I ordered a new back wheel so hoping this helps the problem ! But taking the wheel off a lubricating it with a silicone based lubricant might work ?

Hello. I didn't use bassinets with mine so have never had to fit the seats. Mine doesn't have any zips, perhaps they've changed a little - I purchased mine in January '12 so it's an older model now. Sorry I can't help, I'd suggest taking it back to the retailer where you purchased it & getting them to help you with it if that's possible. Good luck!

I'm not sure sorry as I don't have a steel craft infant carrier but I'm sure any of the baby retail stores that stock both those products would be able to answer that. Good luck.

I wouldn't reccomend MB at all but if you do decide to go with them I would make sure they have wheels without air in them
I have recently purchased the citi mini duo its alittle bit wider then the MB but I don't have to worrie about the wheels deflating and it's much lighter

I've just fitted the aero techs and they are great, wish I did it a couple of years ago!

We have had 3 punctures and 2 tires split apart in 9 months. We use the stroller daily- mainly on concrete paths or asphalt (bicycle tracks) because it just doesn't hold up 'off road'- on grass or dirt tracks. The first puncture occurred walking on a dirt track on day 3. We run and walk with it- up to 10kms per day. Of note, our single baby jogger city elite has never had a flat tire and we have been running and walking off road with this for > 2 years but unfortunately, the double version was just too big.

Thanks. I believe baby jogger use forever air tires so they are definitely different to the mountain buggy. Although the mountain buggy duet is one of the cheapest strollers on the market being only $600, it may end up costing a lot more in the near future. I wish someone could make another stroller with the same width!

Mountain buggy now sell air free tyres that you can purchase for the duet (about $180 for the set) but if you start buying lots of tyres it's worth thinking about. I love my air free tyres now!!!

Hi, aww, poor bubba. I don't actually have carry cots for it so i'm sorry I cant be much help to you but it sounds like a good idea. I do have the 'joey' maybe even that might work for you. The sun visor can be put on over the joey which would protect the medical equipment perhaps. Maybe contact mountain buggy, i'm sure they'll be able to help you. Wishing your baby good health:)

A little late to answer but in case anyone is wondering yes the carry cot must be facing you (but hood is removable), and the weight limit is 9kg.

My hubby is 6'1 and pushes it easily (hasnt gone for a jog yet) and it's not even on the highest height setting. I'd say it would be fine.

I do not believe there is any height problem, since the handle is adjustable. However, given the problems I have had with tires (had to replace tires twice during a year despite normal use -no jogging with baby carriage) I wouldn't recommend this Mountain Buggy Duet, particularly not for someone who intends to walk or jog much with it.
