Good pram feels like your driving a bus
This is a great pram compared with all other doubles on the market - it will fit through doorways, and the air tyres give it pretty good feel and steering etc. however compared to a single pram, you will feel like you are driving a bus!! my 2 year old who is on the tall side won't fit into it for much longer however,it is fantastic to have our newborn in the bassinet which is fantastic.

Good sturdy pram
Excellent outdoors pram and great for jogging and going over rough ground. Not so great if you want a fold up pram for your car, unless you have a 4x4 or ute, as it is heavy! We keep ours unfolded outside and use it to walk around our neighborhood and we have a lighter pram for the car, works really well for our twins and they love it!

Not as good as mountain buggy terrain...BUT
The overall strength and ruggedness of this stroller is great. However, it is not as awesome as my mountain buggy terrain. I expected the duet to be a mountain buggy terrain, except built for two....but it is not. It is the inferior younger sibling.
Cons:
The wheels are small so navigation off-road is more difficult. Bummer. There is NO hand break. Sucks. The seats are too short and my 3 year old is already pushing the height limits. Darn. The tallest harness setting is already being used on my 9 month old. Darn again. The tires are always ...Read more

Love this Pram!
This Pram is fantastic! It is easy to maneuver and the most attractive feature is that is is the narrowest of all double (side by side) prams.
I found the Pram easy to clean and loved that the capsule attached onto it when I had a newborn!
Overall, I am happy with my purchase and I would recommend this product.

This is fantastic for its size, light weight, easy to set up
One of the main reasons for purchasing this pram was its ability to fit through door ways as some other double models didn't, ease of folding, light weight for its size and fits in the boot of our car .
Rear pockets were a bit small however, other features sure made up for it .
Other feature was if you have limited space in the car the wheels come off easily as well,
Comfort wise, one child can sit up while the other can lie down sleeping.
All in all a great pram that served us very well.

I had a two seat strider before this and this was better over all.
The mountain buggy duet was easy to maneuver, fold, super easy and back friendly to unfold and not very heavy to carry, a very comfortable weight to lift into the car. The build quality was great but I'd say better around town than off road. Easy to clean, good quality, sturdy pram with normal use. Nb. Very wide, this did not cause me any trouble in all the supermarkets shops etc local to me but inner city supermarket aisles can be very narrow.
Fully adjustable upright to flat both sides perfect for sleeping children of all ages. Also just u...Read more
ses a buckle to adjust so there is no way for the mechanism to fail unlike other prams. I liked this others might find it slightly more fiddly than other pram seat adjusters. Recommend this. Have had this pram since my children were 1, 3 and 4 (my strider broke it was used thoroughly off road on our block). They are now 6, 5 and 3. Only 3 year old would use it now, I don't really use it because I have a target pram for my 3 year old and that is just right for now, I don't use that much either.Similar opinion? Disappointed
Purchased it when baby #2 came, after loving my Mountain buggy Cosmopolitan I thought the duet was a great option. I was terribly disappointed.
Cons
Tyres got punctures within a month of owning it, After daily use on roads, foot paths and the front lawn. Got well and truly over patching the tubes.
The foam handle cover rips way too easily.
My 20 month old son is already too big for the seats both width and height
Seat straps are already too short for my 20 month old son (mountain buggy know too well this is a fault as they sell strap extensions as an additional accessory)
It would be much easier if you could lay the seat back with one hand.

Better of a bad bunch
I love how super light it is to push, easy to pump up tyres when needed, great to jog with, haven't found a door it doesnt fit through, folds easy, lovely hood size - good coverage, good size basket, easy clips to do up/ undo for securing child.
Dont love: lack of storage pocket on back of seats for wallet/phone/keys, everything has to go under not great if out for exercise. Heavy to lift in/out of car (but is one of the lightest options), for seats to recline/sit up need to use 2 hands as 2 seperate staps per seat - who has 2 free hands wit...Read more
h twins - it is a pain and hard to get them even.seat length not super, great for babies, not sure will fit 2 toddlers comfortably. Not great air ventilation around seats when reclined, not ideal in hot summer.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Awesome pram
I bought this pram when my second was born. We still use it and my oldest us nearly 4. I have since had twins and it is also great with the car seat brackets. Only problem is that we ahead want to use this pram so have to keep swapping between the seats for the older boys and the car seat brackets. Thinking of getting a second one! Best thing we did was buy the hard wheels from the website as we did get a few flat tyres. They don't have the inner tube so slightly firmer ride but no hassle about flat tyres. Prior to this we bought a couple of spare tubes and had in the cupboard. This pram gets used every day for the last 2 years and still going strong!

It's good but I don't love it...
I bought the mountain buggy duet as I needed a double pram for my two kids but I didn't want some huge pram that wouldn't fit in door ways. I already have a baby jogger city mini gt (single) which I love & I would have bought the city mini double but I didn't like how wide they were & that was the only reason I bought the MB duet. The best parts about the MB duet I found are
-the slimmest double pram on the market, I've seen some single prams bigger than this
-fits through most doorways & isles (homes & shops)
-fits perfect on the bus, it do...Read more

Has been great for our twins from birth
2013 model- Strong, big basket, could steer with one hand while drinking much needed coffee.
Decent size separate hoods and rain cover, shade covers. Caddy over handle bar was a great extra we bought. Comfy seats for young babies sleeping.
Because of its easy pop up style I could get my twins and pram in the car while mums of singles were still disassembling their capsules etc.
Didn't have any tyre issues til it was 2 yrs old. Even then only a couple of flats.
Would have loved to swap handle over or the ability to change the seats to...Read more
parent facing (which the new model does) as it would have meant less twin questions from people when we were tired. Also the seats can't go upright enough once they were older. They're still always slightly reclined which meant at times it looked tiring on their necks like they were straining to sit upright. Overall it has been a fantastic stroller for our family and we didn't pay a fortune. $599 on sale.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Miss informed not suitable up to 4 years
Don't get me wrong it's a great narrow pram that's easy to maneuver but I only bought this pram a month ago cause I have 2 boys one almost 2 and almost 12kg and one 4 months and almost 5 kg this pram is ment to hold 18kg per seat and the back of the seat that my 2 year old sits in has bent the board is flimsy and unreliable not to mention the zipper that holds the seat on slowly unzips when he is in the seat because of this incident I went back and referred to the book as I had not looked at it as they set it up in store for me and insisted th...Read more
is was the pram for me, when carefully reading through it clearly says the pram only hold 9 kg lying down which is absolutely ridiculous I got this pram so my 2 year old could lay back and take a nap when he needs too but I'll be taking it straight back to the store I got it from I'm not impressed!!!1 comment

Wheels keep getting flat
The stroller is great when it works. Meaning, it pushes well, it has large basket underneath. But I am very disappointed in the quality. The rubber piece on the handlebar broke within a few months of getting it. The wheels keep getting flat. I ordered new wheels from Mountain Buggy, and I still keep getting flat tires! I am so frustrated!!

Whilst baby sleeps toddler can hop in and out as they wish
The reviews below mention tyre problems, we have the swift and duet and only replace two tyres in 4.5 years. Love how easy it is to go shopping as it can fit through standard checkouts and doorways. Great for walks. We used the duet with our unity capsule, again great to have the capsule straight out of the car to the buggy without disturbing the sleeping baby. Found my 4.5 year old has no trouble fitting in the seats. Folds easily, and fits in my small Corolla boat no problems. Loved this pram, just trying to encourage my 4.5 year to walk mo...Read more
re and so we have gone back to using the swift for the 2.5 year old. Yes one of the more expensive double buggy so but no need to take off toddler seats before folding to put in the car and well worth the investment!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Mountain Buggy Duet 2013 model
I bought this pram in 2013. Until now I have loved my mountain buggy duet.
Recently i have tried re attach my basinet for bubs number 3. Walking through the shops and it has collapsed on the one side with baby in it.
Soon after i noticed the center metal rod being flimsy and at some point the screw under neath the pram at the bottom has gone missing.
i have tried to make contact with mountain buggy and have only had one reply clarifying the issue and no response since. i have had to get it fixed myself as it is taking to long.
poor customer service and baby could have got seriously injured.

Great double pram
Our kids were born 12 months apart, we bought our duet when the second one was born & still use it as a stroller 3 1/2 years later!
It's easy to maneuver through standard doorways, yes this means the seats aren't super wide but my kids aren't small and even now at 3.5 and 4.5 they can still sit in it.
We've only just had our first tyre blow out. We removed the canopies at around age 2 as they got annoying once they got taller. The seats don't sit completely upright but it's hard to find any pram that caters for newborn, completely flat to tod...Read more

Mountain Buggy need to change their slogan 'life without limits... Unless you want to go on grass'
I had the NEW MB Duet 2.5.... Not the older model.
I was so excited to buy this pram. We live near the beach so a lot of walking is on grass that is on sand, so soft and hard to push a normal pram over... Was so excited to finally get a pram I could use! My second baby was born and I packed both kids in and off we went. 30 mins of walking later and life was getting harder, thought maybe I was just more unfit than I thought... No, 3 flat tyres. Very. Long. Walk. Home. The baby shop were good enough to change the inner tubes for me free of cost...Read more

Avoid this Stroller
We have this stroller. It is to be avoided. The plus side is that when it works it works well and it is fairly narrow for a dual. That said the thing sucks because:
1. Once your kids are about 2.5 years old it is too narrow for them to sit comfortably.
2. It is bloody expensive. I mean, it is insanely expensive. What was I thinking? As if having twins was not expensive enough.
3. The tyres are TERRIBLE. They deflate very very very easy, for seemingly no reason. So you can be on a family outing and have a tyre deflate and it ruins the ...Read more

Don't waste your money
I bought a mountain buggy duet a couple of month ago worked fine for a month besides for it being really heavy and having the metal piece that can cut your toes off if dropped while folding. Then the tires started busting not once but 4 times within the 1st year.
This last time while we were out of town for the weekend and needing to catch a flight and use the stroller for the airport not only did the tube bust but the whole tire shredded.
We searched every local bike store and no one carried the Tire and tube which were both destroyed.

Hi I am wanting to purchase a Mountain Buggy Duet. I have been given an older Mountain Buggy Duo which is a great pram but its just so big and heavy to get in and out of the car and our dog which is a large dog (Golden Retriever) has to squish in the side of the boot and lay on the pram to fit in the car which is not ideal because 95% the time when we are going for a walk we are taking him plus his hair gets all over the pram as well when he is laying on it. I was wondering has anyone with a Toyota Prado purchased the Duet and how does it fit in the boot? How much space in the boot would you say you have around the pram? Thanks
