Love this pram
This pram is the best double pram I've ever owned. Easy for walking or going for a jog. I have had it for 2 years now and will be sad to see it go. It's one down fall is that it is havy but it was lighter than the stider.

Good double buggy but not for off road use
Great buggy for our twins, easy to use and stow in our 4WD. But hardly worthy of the name, Mountain Buggy. It's only weakness the bad tyres, they deflate easily tear and gets holes in them. Spare tyres and tubes cost a fortune. In the end we bought a set of after market Aerotech tyres at a cost over $150. I think the people at Mountain Buggy know this but want to seel you an expensive upgrade, really sneaky.

Nowhere near as good as the single urban jungle
We have the urban Jungle but required a double buggy with the arrival of our second child. Not cheap in price, we expected similar performance to the urban. Not so. It does feel a bit cheap. The tyre things are bent so it's hard to pump wheels up. There should be an option of having a divider between the seats (esp with toddlers who want to pull at the baby next to them), instead I had to insert a Tupperware lid. The storage tray on the bottom has no additions (jungle has pockets attached to the tray) which are missed. The sun cover is annoying...Read more
to attach and not as user friendly as the one for the single prams. However we tried the mountain buggy plus one (one behind the other) and that was a lot cheaper feeling. I think the company have really dropped their standards since outsourcing overseas. The materials are less quality (for example zips break really easily). Side by side is much better for both kidsSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Mountain Buggy Duet
Being a Mountain Buggy fan, I immediately bought the duet when we found out we were going to have another baby. As our babies are only 16 months apart, I wanted something to accommodate my toddler who still enjoys being pushed around in the pram and not quite ready to walk independently around the shops. Sadly, I am disappointed with the duet for a few reasons. Although the pram boasts being one of the slimmest double prams on the market, the width per seat are compromised by 3cm which although does not sound like a lot, it has meant that my to...Read more
ddler who used to have room to move in the mountain buggy urban, is squished with barely any shoulder room in the duet, and my toddler is a lean a baby. I have also found that the pram hoods are flimpsy and useless and cannot be pivoted independently forward like it could with the urban. The pram is also heavy so makes getting in and out of the car hard work. Also, trying to find a footmuff that fits is proving to be impossible because of the seat slimness/dimensions. Mountain Buggy sell the cocoon which doesn't accommodate the duet, or the sleeping bag which is enormous for a newborn. The pram is one of the slimmest doubles on the market The width per seat are compromised making it a squishy ride for baby. Pram is heavy which means getting in and out of car hard work. The sun canopies/hoods are useless.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best pram for everything!
Love my mountain buggy duet, my 2 yr old (in 98th percentile for height) still fits in her seat with room to grow, she does not look squished. Smooth ride on grass, cobblestones, etc etc best pram so far and I have been through a few. Had the strider previously-didn't like and was not smooth to push, this one is about the same width (fits through standard doors) and is 100 X better. Only downfalls are; the basket underneath, sometimes hard to get to when seats are reclined-wish they would make it bigger! Another thing is the weight but I think ...Read more
you have to accept you won't find an all terrain double pram that is extra light. Also love the fact with the newer model they have changed a few things like the sun canopys have an extra long mesh/netting so have not had to purchase the sun cover for the double! Should have brought this pram first when wanting a double! Large sun canopy, smooth ride, bottle holder, roomy for my tall 2 yr old small basket-hard to get to when seats reclined, a little on the heavy side-not too bad tho!Similar opinion? Best double pram on the market
I think I have finally found the pram that is working perfectly for me. I have a 3yo and a 10 mo. I had a phil and ted dash which was great but my 3yo didn't want to walk anywhere and the second seat is not really appropriate for my baby to nap. So I bought the maclaren twin techno. Both children could nap but its was hard to steer and too wide to get around the shops. the duet is very easy to maneuver around a shopping centre and is fine to take out for walks. I would actually say that this beats the city select and bugaboo donkey for best dou...Read more

Wonderful Pram
The duet has been a blessing for us! we have a 3 year old and an almost 1 year old, and use prams daily - the 3 year old often walks now but she still gets tired quickly and sits in the pram between her stints walking. We got this pram after our previous double got too heavy and cumbersome as the children grew.
Well the duet is incredible! we have the updated 2013 model, which I would highly reccomend as (among other improvements) it latches closed when you collapse it. Yes it is a heavyish pram, as most are now, but it is not awkward to loa...Read more
d into and out of our people mover. So far we have not experienced any rattling or other issues others have reported. Even with only one child in the pram it steers straight. The pneumatic tires make it beautiful to push and even with a toddler, baby and nappy bag in the pram it is pretty effortless to push - I didn't realise how heavy the strider was until we got the duet. We also bought the Joey bag, and after using it today I am impressed. It is so easy to stick your shopping in there and it holds a lot of items. It's not too hard or time consuming to remove a seat and install the joey once you have done it a couple of times. This will allow me to use the Duet long after the 3 year old has stopped using the second seat - I expect she will be needing it intermittantly for at least another year, but if it is less the Joey is a fantastic idea! The only downside I have found so far, is that the hoods are a bit "gapey", that is, when they are fully extended, there are gaps on either side between the edge of the hood and the frame. Having said that though, I tink it annoys me more than the kids, as the baby still falls asleep no problem. This is pretty close to my dream pram... And even with our kids being a larger age gap, I am so happy we invested in it. narrow pram but seats are still roomy, easy to push, easy to collapse, seats lay flat slight gape on sides of hood - but bothers me more than them2 comments
It is similar to the Donkey but narrower and lighter and the seats recline :-) Pretty cool!

Fabulous (mostly)
We brought this pram for our now 2yo & 5mth old (goodness knows why we didn't do it sooner as would've been fantastic for NB & 20mth old!).
Have had a MB urban (old style from made in NZ days - which I love love love) for first child and have loved that as we are always out walking with dog - main reason for getting duet was so I can still get out walking and baby 2 can sleep which didn't seem to happen in the P&T's double we were gifted 2nd hand, (which felt like I was about to kick him in the head with every step)
anyhow .... MB duet is gre...Read more

The domes / press studs that attach the seat together however are crap and the middle one in particular just does not stay put - lucky the zip does a perfectly good job on its own. I wish I could detach the stars somehow as my 4yo gets annoyed sitting on them and theres no way she'd get buckled in these days. To be honest I thought we woudve sold this by now - but its still so so handy and they both fit in easily .. will be hanging onto of a bit longer :)Similar opinion? Good and Bad
We bought this pram for our 21 month old and newborn - we had the MB Swift before and loved it. This pram has both good and bad points. My older son is 2 now, and I can't see how he will still fit in the pram at 4 years old. He is not a big boy, and his head is almost touching the top of the canopy. I'd say in 9 months to a year, he will be too big to get in.
GOOD: it's nice and easy to move & has a good turning circle, it's pretty slim for a double pram and easily fits through doorways, and even fits through some narrow shop aisles that I t...Read more

Design is excellent but quality is appalling especially the tyres
Purchased to use with 2 year old and new baby. Plenty of appeal with great design but quality is poor. On the plus side- its design is one of the best for a double stroller. Narrow base for a double and can fit through all doorways. Large basket underneath that stores a lot of shopping. Seats that accommodate babies through to 4 year olds with lots of recline options. Sunshades quite good. Rain cover effective. Fits in boot of our Mazda 3 sedan without needing to remove any of the wheels. However, the actual quality is very poor. For a strolle...Read more
r that markets itself as all terrain, the tyre quality is appalling. We have used this stroller for 9 months and have had 3x flats ( inner tube punctures and so have replaced inner tube x 3) and now 2 of the actual tyres have completely split apart (!) with the other 2 tyres about to so we will now need to buy 4 new tyres as well at a cost of $100 plus. We reported this to Mountain Buggy but their only response is tyres aren't covered by the 1 year warranty. To have tyres that split apart after only 9 months of use demonstrates terrible quality. As a comparison, we have used this stroller in exactly the same way as our Baby Jogger Single elite which is now almost 3 years old and have never had a single problem with its tyres. Compared to the Baby Jogger quality, the sunshades are not as good and the seats have far less padding. Unfortunately, Babyjogger does not currently have a double stroller with the width of this one but if it did, would strongly consider this instead. Narrow width, comfortable for 2 children of different ages, fits plenty of shopping, easy to use to walk up to the shops The absolutely appalling tyre quality (inner tube punctures easily and actual tyres split apart after only 9 months of use and tyres it covered by 1 year warranty3 comments
How frequently were you using the pram before the tires split? What terrain did you use it on?

patching tubes and buying new and still get punctures. I think I'm going to have to buy all new tubes and tyres after barely 12 months use. For my first child I used a Baby Jogger City Elite and almost for years later have NEVER had a flat tyre and only had to pump the tyres twice. As I often have flat tyres on the Mountain Buggy I'm still using the Baby Jogger regularly. I definitely agree the quality of the Baby Jogger is much better than the Mountain Buggy. I am very disappointed and wish I'd purchased the Baby Jogger double!Have since shelled out the money for the aerotech puncture proof tyres ($169) and haven't had a tyre problem since. Was getting punctures just using the stroller on ordinary Sydney footpaths previously.

solid and sturdy
This is a great pram. I've had many prams for my home day care and this is by far my favorite! Despite the cons I listed I wouldn't trade it for any other, its so solid and sturdy that I can imagine it lasting a long time to come. I also have the freerider scooter but I would probably rather a normal toddler board instead. Its a bit fiddly to get on and off and the kids want to ride it for the novelty but id rather they walk until tired! I usually only take it for huge walks where its going to be needed to avoid the kids asking for it but I som...Read more
etimes get caught without it and wish it was on easy to push, small for doorways but easily fits children up to 5 years when needed. Canopies are great, nice and big the straps loosen when a child pulls them self forward. Child could easily 'escape'. I tie knots in the excess strap to try to stop this but it doesn't really work. I also find it very heavy and awkward to get in the car and it fills my whole holden astra boot.1 comment

Think it through, some cons and pro's!
The mountain buggy duet is a great width, we never had any trouble getting in and out of doorways or down aisles. It's smooth to steer and handles well.
Wish it had a quick fold option as the latches are a bit of an annoyance when I've been used to our city mini.
I ended up selling this pram after 3 months of use. My two boys were only 18 months apart - the slim width allowed my eldest to easily reach across to my youngest and more often than not annoy him!
The main reason I sold it though was that I never had the confidence to go out w...Read more

Pram is only good for shopping not the outdoors
I purchased this pram when first child was 2 & the 2nd child was 3 months. It was great to finally get out of the house and do some walking and enjoy the fresh air. But soon my boys grew fast, my now 15month old is only 1kg lighter than my now 3 yr old. Walking with this pram is a painful experience, it's wheels are too small, I don't understand why they would put such little wheels on this pram. It always pulls to the side and is hard on the body trying maneuver it. Up and down gutters can be an extreme workout. It's great when using in shopping centres but I would not purchase if you we're planning on doing lots of outdoor walking.
If you love the great outdoors like my boys and I, I would not purchase this pram.

If it pulls to the side and its hard to push I would check your tyre pressures..they need all need to be properly inflated to the same pressure.

most compact side by side
The duet is the most narrow side by side ive come across so happy with my purchase just wish i did not buy a strider compact first. As the duet is same width and you get extra storage space when using one seat and the joey. It drives so much better can push with one hand with both kids in it and such better quality im willing to give up all the extra features on a strider to have this fantastic pram! And so easy to pop the front wheels up gutters! Im inlove!!! Highly reccommend!
great quality easy to steer beautifully narrow and designed for popping front wheels with ease
heavy no ventilation in seats... thats it pros far outweigh cons

A busy mums best friend for 2 children!
With 17 months between my 2 beautiful girls, I did a lot of research into buying a double pram (after having 4 single prams!!) After talking to alot of people and watching lots of baby gizmo video reveiws i was set on getting a side by side pram. The duet is the narrowest side by side pram (same width as some single prams!!) on the market and I love that both seats fully recline and sit upright.
Meaning that both children are able to sleep in it at the same time. I use this to go jogging and for trips into town when I want to restrain my to...Read more
ddler from running everywhere. I love that both children can see out as babies become very curious after only a couple of months. It fits through standard doorways and has great sunshade. Good tyres for all terrains, although would advise buying the tyre pump when ordering the pram and keeping it in the underneath basket incase of a flat. A handy drink bottle pocket for parents means you can stay well hydrated. The 2 things that could be improved on this pram are ventilation screens at the back of the seats and the fabric behind the seats scrunch up when going from the flat to the seated position - which can be a bit awkward to fix when there is a child in there. It is reasonably heavy and bulky when packed up so not good for small cars but this is a small sacrifice when you consider the sturdiness and practicality of it. Would highly recommend this pram for anyone with 2 children! The price is quite reasonable as well. I picked mine up brand new for about $620 which is an average price for a double pram. Side by side seating that can both fully recline, good sunshade, easy to manoeuvre Would love to see better ventilation on the seats, brake was a bit hard to flick up and down when new.Similar opinion? Best I've had!
Love the manoverability and the width (it really does fit through any standard doorway!!) Love that both bubs can see. Only one fold and go.(unlike BJCS which took me forever to put together every time)
Great size seats! ( my very tall 2.5 year old fits in comfortably with room to spare)
Love the air filled tyres!
Good coverage from visor (even my little one)
Just a very easy no fuss get on with your day type of pram
Good price! My little ones love riding in it! Great for walks but can still be taken to the shops with ease.
Not much ventilation but my babes seem quite cool in there. Material niches around the head when you sit them back up after a snooze.( I just tuck it behind) a little bit awkward to fold and lift to the car

Had to change tire twice in less than a year
It is convenient and fairly robust. However, we have had to change tires twice in less than a year (this is not covered by guarantee). That is unacceptably bad. Our previous one was used for almost two years without the need for a tire change. On the other hand again my wife is more positive than I am though.
Easy to manoeuvre, fairly spacious transportation bag.
Expensive, tires are unacceptably bad.

So far so good
We finally bought this pram last week and so far I love it. We are about to have our third boy making it three under three. I've had my share of prams Phil & teds e3, vibe, sport and a strider plus. However none of those prams would of been able to accommodate my three boys. My almost-three-year-old will have the vee bee ez rider attached at the back we have decided against the free rider as I think too many tantrums would be thrown wanting to use it unattached and I've just purchased the safe n sound unity capsule adaptor. these accessiores all together. Okay back to the pram, its easy to fold and unfold little on the heavy side but manageable would be a tight squeeze in the boot of a small car however this doesn't affect us, the reclining system on the seats is simple and affective, break is easy to flick down and up (unlike our old strider plus & p&t sport), the individual sunshades are an excellent idea, we also bought the sunshade when we purchased the pram easy to attach and I love how it has the zipper so you can leave the sunshade attached and still get your kids in & out, my boys seem to be happier next to each other rather then one up top one underneath, it really is narrow I can fit into my doctors surgery and it manouvers really well. My partner is really impressed with the pram as well. Will do an updated review with the capsule adaptor and vee bee ez rider attached when new bub arrives. Such a great pram and can accommodate everyone in my family, what a great buy! Travel system & buggy board compatible, side-by-side narrow, individual sunshades, easy to use break, all round great pram Doesn't have an automatic lock when in folded mode2 comments

Hi I am wanting to purchase a Mountain Buggy Duet. I have been given an older Mountain Buggy Duo which is a great pram but its just so big and heavy to get in and out of the car and our dog which is a large dog (Golden Retriever) has to squish in the side of the boot and lay on the pram to fit in the car which is not ideal because 95% the time when we are going for a walk we are taking him plus his hair gets all over the pram as well when he is laying on it. I was wondering has anyone with a Toyota Prado purchased the Duet and how does it fit in the boot? How much space in the boot would you say you have around the pram? Thanks
