Great pram, but can be heavy and awkward
Love my Mountain Buggy, so easy to maneuver and great for all types of terrain and also for the light jog (when baby is old enough). Love the versatility of having the various attachments for bassinet, capsule, +3 months seat that has a full recline. It's a lifelong pram. And now we have a skateboard attachment for our toddler and back to the bassinet for our newborn. It's only downside, like most prams, it can be awkward to fit into a car. It folds nicely and doesn't take up a lot of room in the car, but the length can be problematic if the boot opening isn't wide enough. Like any pram purchase, take your car and try it out before buying.

Best pram/stroller ever
Mountain buggy urban jungle 2013 version is far better than new models. I have tried both and older models much better quality and durability.
It manouvers like a dream with one hand. I owned few different prams but this one is a winner. Even my son prefers this one over other ones.
It is on heavier side but so stable and easy to push and very comfortable for my boy.

A great running pram!
I love my mountain buggy! Nearly 3.5 years on I am still using it, in fact, I have used it almost every day since my daughter was born. It is perfect for walks and runs and very easy to manoeuvre - I can run with my daughter (15kg) in the pram and dog at my side without any issues.
I would get this pram if you're a regular walker or runner, I wouldn't get it if you're just planning on going to the shops.
We have had to replace tubes twice but it was cheap and easy to do- Kmart sell the tubes.
The only downside is the shade- it doesn't come down far. I use an extra mountain buggy cover to shade my daughter and protect from mosquitoes.

Unbalanced and frame loose
From the moment we put the pram together it felt wonky/unbalanced. I could tell it was higher on one side as my shoulders and pelvis felt uneven as I walked. A spirit level showed the handle bar was higher on the right. A pram repair specialist noted the frame was loose too.
At times the pram came close to tipping to the lower side; I believe this was due to the imbalance.
I don't believe this is an isolated incident as I noticed a display model at the shop I got it from had the same problem.
Points I love about the pram :
+ I loved the eas...Read more

5 months in & suuuuuper happy!
I bought this pram in Nautical earlier in the year for my baby due end-June, so we've been using it for 5 months now and have experience with both the carrycot and the proper seat and honestly LOVE this pram!!
The quality of the pram is so high, the material is durable, the leather finishes are beautiful, it's easy to fold & unfold, not too heavy to throw in the back of the car, great on & off road - and on that, we have a rather large dog so we walk a lot, the pram is sturdy enough to handle our boofhead dog bumping into it and bub sits hi...Read more
gh enough to avoid a slobbery kiss in the face too, bonus! One *very minor* issue we had was that the harness pads on the pram seat slide right off the straps with great ease so we very clumsily lost one, however I got in touch with Phil & Teds (mountain buggy) and they were able to send me replacement parts very quickly for a very reasonable price. So just be vigilant with those parts! But hey look on the bright side at least you can take them off to give them a clean (my SIL complains that her bugaboo ones don't come off). So quick recap - great, high quality & sturdy pram and had great customer service with the manufacturer so two thumbs up!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Very very disappointed
The only good points about this pram I have found are that it is easy to fold and manoeuvre.
Now...
I purchased this pram a few months back. Already, the hood has faded significantly, it is flimsy and does not even stay folded down. One side of my breaks failed yesterday which resulted to the pram rolling over the edge of the gutter onto the road!!! Not cool.
There are so many other prams out there that are far more economical and better quality than this one.
I expected better.

Love this pram!
Love it! Been using it for 4 months now (since birth) with the bassinet.
It is super simple to fold and great storage underneath.
It has been perfect off road! Grass no problem. Beach works as well, As long as the sand isn't very lose and hilly it have been great.

So disappointed
I have been using the Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle 2015 model for a few months now, and I have to say I am a little disappointed.
I owned the previous model which I was extremely happy with (though not keen on the fold) and I now regret upgrading to this newer model. Mountain Buggy had the opportunity to make some small improvements to the previous model such as the seat recline mechanism and the size of the hood which would have made a big difference to the user, but it didn’t.
Pros:
- LOVE the fold, so easy and quick, folds smaller ...Read more

Urban Jungle Luxury Nautical Edition
I love the design and layout of the pram and my 18month old seems very comfortable in the pram. I can push the pram one handed which is prefect for grocery shopping and it is very easy to steer. The pram is quite large even when folded down and takes up most of my boot space (I have a ford falcon which has a large boot) and can be difficult to lift up into the boot. My great disappointment with this pram, however, is that I spent the extra money on the luxury edition because the pram looked beautiful but only after 6 months of light use (I work...Read more
so only used the pram max maybe once a week - once a fortnight) and I have only ever housed the pram inside, and the pram has faded incredibly to the point where it looks like it's 10 years old and has not been looked after. I first purchased a second hand 2012 MB swift it remained in a lovely and clean condition and was so impressed that I purchased the new one. The fabric on this pram seems to pick up all the fluff off my child's clothing / pram blankets and small tears have appeared at the stitching joins. The seat cushion insert was advertised as washable but even after following the washing instructions the cushion shrunk considerably. I'm terribly disappointed considering the price I paid and embarrassed to take my child out in such a shabby looking pram (not over-exaggerating here, it really does look like I've pulled it out of the dump). I will be looking at a different manufacturer altogether for my next pram.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good Pram but probably would not buy it again
Choosing the right pram was a harder decision than buying a car. I did a lot of research and it felt like you can't get it all. I wanted a pram for doing a lot of walking and exercise and one which you can easily take off road. So I decided on the urban jungle luxury edition. Although it is a good pram with good wheels and sturdy structure it lacks on comfort and functionality. If I could choose again I would probably go for the Baby Jogger City Elite.

Love it except for the fading
The urban is great. I do a lot of walking around streets without footpaths so love that the large wheels roll over pretty much everything in the way.
The basket is big enough to do a decent grocery shop and walk it home comfortably.
It's easy to maneuver and turns effortlessly in a very small circle. The only time I've had issues getting it down an isle was in a small corner shop, supermarkets are no problem.
It can be a bit hard to wrangle into the boot as it is heavier than others I tested and is fairly large when collapsed but I've foun...Read more

Colours don't match :(
We purchased an Urban Jungle in December as we were expecting our fifth child. We purchased the package with the bassinet attachment and although are happy with the general function of the pram I am more than disappointed with the colour. We got the nautical which I loved and thought looked great but the hood part on the bassinet looks faded (almost a purpley/ blue colour) that doesn't match the bag even though they're the same fabric and definitely doesn't match the colour of the stripes. Also the carry bar at the top of the hood doesn't alwa...Read more
ys stay up on one side. Our bub is still only little so have many more months of using the bassinet/rear facing seat but can't help but feel a little let down with the quality of our purchase everytime we use it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Absolutely the best pram ever
I just love this pram! I originally got a Redsbaby but found it wasn't suited to my needs. I tried out an old Urban Elite over ten years old that I could tell was exceptional quality so I bought the brand new Urban Jungle and I have not found anything to complain about. It has a big seat which is suitable from newborn to 25 kg and would fit a very tall child. It's SO easy to maneuver, it's a light frame, only 11 kg and so easy to fold by pressing one button. The hood is wide and deep and has an extra sun shade you can pull down as well. The des...Read more
igners have thought of everything. You can now get a forward facing seat with it once your baby outgrows the bassinet (both are optional extras) that will seat a Bub up to 15 kg which I think is really important to have that eye contact and constant view of each other at this young age. I got the optional extra sun cover and rain cover and food tray and they fit in perfectly and stay in place. Best of all this pram is great for those long walks over various terrain with its three 12 & 1/2 inch air tyres AND fits in the shop aisles too as is only 63 cm wide. Don't go for the cheaper less well known brands, Mountain Buggy is high quality, and this pram will last you for all your kids, the one I borrowed was over ten years old and had been thrashed as a pram used in a post natal exercise program too so I'm reassured this one will live up to it's predecessor's quality. Fits in the boot of the car easy (I have a small car) and you don't have to remove the seat. You can use a baby capsule with the frame or a little scooter for a toddler too. Very clever. I got mine on their online store and it was delivered within the week. My cousin has a MB Swift which is now over 6.5 years old and still going strong, her tall 4.5 year old still fits in it with heaps of room. I should have taken her advice and not wasted my time with the other brand and just got the MB. I got the Urban as I live in an area without many foot paths and go on long walks and it handles it well. Oh and the handle goes up to 117 cm high which is amazing. I'm 5'8" or 173.5 cm tall and found the high handle does wonders for your back and shoulders on those long rambling walks, the others prams on the market go to about 105 cm tall which is fine around the mall but for someone my height or taller, you need a hugest handle on long walks.Similar opinion? It is a wonderful stroller.
It is a great stroller, very comfortable and one of very few that older children can comfortably sleep in after the age of 2. It is wide enough, has a great canopy coverage. It is very sturdy, and great on bumpy roads. We owned it for 3 years and it lasted really well.

Love this pram!
I've owned quite a few prams, and this is by far my favourite!! I just wish it was a tad narrower so it was easier to navigate around the shops.
But all in all, love this pram!!!! So easy to push, great turning circle, nice big seat and big sunhood.
The only other thing is that it's quite heavy and has a large fold. But you can't have everything!!

Wheels out of line, poor service, very expensive tyre replacements (x 3 in two years despite minimal
I have been incredibly disappointed with Mountain Buggy. I checked out all the reviews before we decided to buy the urban jungle, but I've completely changed my opinions. Unfortunately, we made a significant investment and bought the baby cot insert as well.
Basically, the wheels are out of line and we keep having to buy new tyres (no, condescending sales person, we're not pumping the tyres up too much). I just spent over $100 on three new tyres, for the third time in two years, despite minimal use (my child is in childcare four days, plus ...Read more
we usually carry her or she walks unless we're going on a longer walk). Then, this morning, another flat. I am 36 weeks pregnant, I need to go shopping with my toddler, and today, as a once off, I really need a pram. Last time we complained, it took nearly a month for them to deliver new wheels. Given it's the wheel alignment, and not the wheels that is the problem, I wasn't super impressed. Such a hassle and a waste of money.1 comment

Excellent pram but with some unhappy errors.
Upgraded from the older Urban model to the Urban Jungle 2012, I really love this pram it's simple and easy to use, great follow the sun canopy with flip out visor, great style I do like the style of pram better to Phil & Teds, I find the wheels are much better, very sturdy pram. However, I do not like the new harness compared to the older Urban models, they don't stay tightened i'm constantly having to keep readjusting them. It's more heavier then the older Urban models, which makes it hard especially with having tennis elbow, not so easy to li...Read more
ft and with my tiny car boot I have to wedge it in, so not so fun :(. I find this pram very simple easy to fold, but unfolding can become a non easy task at times. The only other thing that i'm annoyed about is 6 months after purchasing, the writing label ' Mountain Buggy ' on the front silver plate came off just from being wiped with a damp cloth with only water on !!!!!!!!!!!!! However MB replaced this due to it being under warrenty, but again the replacement plate the words are slowly coming off again from water drips and childs feet rubbing against the ink, not good enough!. Also one day juice was spilt in the carry basket so had to wash it, on a gentle wash using gentle wash powder, the wording has also come off from the side of the basket!!!!!!!! So im really unhappy about the ink they use for this, the cost of the pram it should be permanent. I know this is only cosmetic fuss but when you spend that much on a pram you expect it to last a few years before something like that happens.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Mountain buggy has not kept up with other brands in innovation
I've had my New Zealand made (2009) Urban Jungle for two years. I bought it new at the end of 2011. I have loved this pram and used it a lot but now after two years and purchasing a double pram I feel that Mountain Buggy is missing a lot. The NZ models all have horrid lumps on the side of the tyres which bang into everything and a very small hood. These two features have been upgraded in later models but the hood is still rather small in comparison to other brands. The two things that I know really hate about this pram are the air filled tyres ...Read more
and the terrible fold. I have just had a major tyre blow out last night which I'm sure will cost a fortune to replace. I have used this pram a lot but I really think the lifetime on the tyres should be greater. The fold of this pram is terrible. It is massive when folded down and difficult to get in and out of the car. I find my double side by side easier to get in and out of the car. I also bought a umbrella stroller eighteen months ago as this pram is terrible to take shopping. A great walking pram especially on uneven surfaces. A great walking pram in hilly areas and on sand, the curb pop is great. NZ models have terrible hoods and lumps on wheels that stick out and bump into things. All models have a terrible fold and a small hood.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I’m looking at this pram Mountain Buggy Urban 3 and wanting to know how easy it to push with one hand ? I have big dogs and wanting to walk them while pushing the pram. My current pram phill and Teds 4 wheels is horrible to push with one hand. Also is this pram heavy to lift in and out of the car? Thanks

I have the Urban Jungle and walk 5km every day with my 35kg husky. It is the perfect 1 handed pram, so easy to steer!
It is however a heavier pram to load in and out of the car, but I'm still managing it at 6 months pregnant.
