Interesting service - but the 'walled garden' is too limiting
I've paid for the service for a couple of years but aren't looking to renew at this stage. I'm a runner/swimmer and find the scan information intriguing. But the truth is, it's not essential. I use Strava as my 'fitness hub'. Fitbit, Garmin Connect and RunKeeper all play a part. I have tech to record everything. mPort can't even share my last weight and height to Fitbit? Play nice with everyone or go home.

Machines need calibrating !
I purchased 12 month access. I don’t worry too much about the weight recording as I use WW scales at home which are accurate. Since my first scan in Oct 2022 I have lost nearly 35 kg BUT my last scan last week said my L) knee had increased by 12 cm ! My scan in Jan said my neck had increased 10 cm ! Definitely not ! These are two examples amongst a few others. So I have diminished faith in any of the other measurements given ! Very disappointed in the product at this point.

Not accurate and no customer service
the measurements were no accurate. to start with my height was not right but you can adjust. My calves are different size by 3cm, the scanner did not pick that up.
I emailed some feedback and got no reply, If a customer takes time to give honest feedback the least you can do is reply.
The 3d image is very cool so you do get 2 stars for that.
I paid for the one off $10 report.

Nice to set goals and track changes
I like the fact that I can set my goals now and see how I'm tracking against it. I'm doing a 8 week challenge now and find this to be very useful. I think the avatar could be better if we could see what my goals would look like.

Amazing product to track weight loss
Awesome tool to track weight loss. I've been using this for the last six months to motivate me on getting fit for summer. It's been am eye opening experience! It is super easy to use as well and quite private.

I had to pay $10 to access the "free" report online. The report I was able to access after paying $10 gave me no additional information than a set of scales and a tape measure.

I’m starting to think this company is a scam...
Paid $9.95 to use Mport machine. Due to a technical glitch, was charged twice. Emailed MSupport on Jan 3rd. Jess (consultant) advised finance team will organise my refund. To date, no refund organised..no further correspondence from Jess or the finance team. Is this company a scam?

A GOOD LEGAL WAY TO GRAB YOUR MONEY
You pay 10 dollars expecting to get a nice report of your scan. All what you get is whatever you see on the screen transfer to your phone and as is obvious a lot of enticing propaganda to enroll to classes. You get the detailed report if you suscribe as full member. What a scam. It's not worth it.

Not Accurate
I bought a 1 year subscription. I recently had a scan and had 16%BF did a scan at import it showed 24%BF 4 weeks later. 2 months after that it went back to 18%BF. I have a scale at home and it very accurate. At home I weight 82.5kg and at mport I'm 87kg....that 5kg off. Not very motivating is it. Get you machines calibrated or replaced at Watergardens.

Unfair money deduction
I did the scan my card as pod was not working and thought it might need a scan and signed up for the free trial, but they immediately deducted $49.95 from my bank account.
When I emailed them first they replied saying 49.95 the money will ve rrefunded its been more than 10 days now they are not even responding to my email
I am very unhappy and dont what to do I am a student and I work for only 20 hours just imagine how important 50$ are to me
Please see the attached photo where we can see how much mport cares about people.
I have been following up with them literally everyday but still they are not responding

Excellent for relative measuring and tracking
I've been using MPort since May this year and have found it quite motivating to see the change in my body shape between my first scan in May and now (Nov). There's a visibly significant change in my stomach, waist and back and it's quite pleasing to see that my weight hasn't been changing too much (-2kg) so I've deduced I'm not losing much muscle (in fact probably building a little bit).
The Health Report is a nice one too - I enjoy the utilisation of somatotypes, macro recommendations and posture!

devices bar a home-BIA scale, but based on the comparison images available around the web I thought the initial estimate of 31% was pretty spot on. Reading into scanning pods I learned that absolute accuracy (aka, accuracy from one scan) with an MPort pod is just as susceptible (see next paragraph) to reporting body fat % inaccurately by up to 5% however, their relative accuracy (aka accuracy between scans) is reliable which suits me. From what I've been reading, inaccurate body fat % estimations up to 5% affect almost every single type of measuring method/device (except for hyperbaric chambers), meaning that calipers (prone to human error), DXA and BIA are all in the same boat as MPort. I will say though that MPort scanning tends to be cheaper and easier than all the others and as a bonus, more accurate than home-BIA scales which usually utilise a formula due to inherent limitations. The only issue I've had with the pods is a slight lack of cleanliness - often there are used tissues in the "hairtie" holder, which I've also never seen stocked. Plus the app often inaccurately calculates "waist to height" and "waist to hip" ratios but there are so many calculators on the internet, you can easily check yourself. Very little consistency between scans.
Height changed between scans, weight would fluctuate, and so would fat free mass, often wildly.
My advice is use a machine that has a trained human operator, and that is calibrated more accurately.
In my opinion this is far too inaccurate to glean any useful information in terms of any incremental progress you may be making.

Terrible
I did the scan, and signed up for the free trial, but they immediately deducted $49.95 from my paypal account.
I have emailed them multiple times and tried the online chat, but there has been response.
I am very unhappy and will be reporting as an unauthorised deduction from my account to paypal.

Not accurate at all
Unfortunately, after the trial I forgot to cancel. Its not accurate at all. I recently did a professional body scan and my body fat is 5% lower than MPort showed me. I don't recommend and I would like to have my money back.

Worth doing the initial trial but not accurate
Great concept and worth doing once. Actually seeing your avatar is a wake-up call! However it's not really useful when you're dieting because it's not accurate enough. To keep motivated on a diet, you really want to know you've lost weight, even if it's only 500g. I was careful to always use the same pod, but I still found my height fluctuated and so did my weight.

Mport is great!

Liked the Pod and the information but it was out-of-order too often
We joined, paid the fee and used the Pod twice. Next three visits it was out-of-order. Contacted mport and requested a refund of moneys paid. Received an email apology and a promise to return funds paid as per my request. 2 days later, funds have been returned to bank account. Sad that the Pod wasn't more stable - if it was we never would have left.

Worst customer services
Sent them email 3x and twice in FB messenger asking if I can get refund (as I wont be using them anymore nor have done another one since trial) only got replied once on email as non-reply email saying they cancelled my membership without mentioned anything about refund.
Sent them another email and still heard nothing.
So frustating and disappointing.

I drove an hour yesterday to Werribee to get scanned on the mport machine but it was closed for maintenance
Can you advise when this machine will be available to use, don’t particularly want to drive that far for another out of service
