It was good while it lasted
I loved this once my baby was just born the first free weeks worked a charm but once my supply regulated it took longer to get milk out as the suction didn't seem to stick properly
Purchased in December 2021 for $35.00.

Portable and easy to use, but low volume
I purchased this along with the Mumasil milk saving shells and hot/cold packs when I was pregnant. I must say that I haven’t used this breast milk saver as much as I’d intended; I found my electric Medela Swing to be much more effective and efficient in milk expression. The shells were also a little awkward to use but the hot/cold packs were brilliant when I had a short bout of mastitis. But for now, we’re focusing on the milk saver...
Pros
Good suction, simply squeeze air out and attach to opposite breast when nursing, instead of letting milk be absorbed by nursing pads
Saves time and importantly in the early days, milk!
Easy to use, no assembly required

Works better than my electric pump
I originally bought my Mumasil milk catcher 2 years ago with my last baby and brought it out for the baby I just had last month. I bought a second cheaper one on eBay called a “silicone manual pump” because it looked exactly the same and I wanted a spare. The whole point was to catch breastmilk from the opposite side while my daughter was feeding. I didn’t have much milk supply so didn’t want to waste what was leaking out on a breast pad that just gets thrown in the bin. I am so glad I bought this. My daughter dropped below birth weight because...Read more
she wasn’t latching on, and this weird looking thing has literally saved me from having to mix feed by supplementing formula. If my supply didn’t increase by the end of this week I was going to have to start giving my daughter formula on top of breastfeeding to make sure she kept gaining weight. At first I was just catching about 5ml - 10ml at a time while I obsessively watched YouTube videos about breastfeeding and pumping techniques as a last ditch effort to avoid formula. I was already happy with my purchases at that point. Then I stumbled on a YouTube video (in the middle of the night of course) with this woman holding a manual pump *full* of milk in the still picture. I was like HOLD UP how is she doing THAT?? She explained how to attach the pump properly ie flatten it completely to empty the air out. Total. Game. Changer. I don’t know if that is called a hack or what but it’s literally increased my expressed amounts immediately. The manual pump seems to work better for me than my very expensive electric pump. I think it’s because my daughter is triggering the let down on one side, while the manual pump SILENTLY draws milk out using suction on the other. I can actually feel the let down that everyone talks about. Too easy. I used the electric pump between feeds before but literally only a few drops would come out. Plus the electric pump makes a racket that wakes the baby so I didn’t really get to pump as long as recommended. There really wasn’t any spare time to do much except have a quick toilet break and quickly eat something between her feeds. So trying to pump with the electric pump on top of everything else was just stressing me out. Now I feed Bub on both sides twice while using the manual pump, then top her up with what I’ve just pumped and poured into a bottle. I can’t even explain how relieved I am that my baby is finally settled between feeds. Total turn around. My shoulders aren’t up around my ears anymore either - Yay. The silicone manual pump is easy to apply (now that I’ve watched the instructional video) and stays in place despite the baby sometimes having a kick at it LOL. I use it every time I feed Bub and swap sides when she does. I’ve quickly learned to empty the breastmilk into a bottle in between swaps so I don’t accidentally spill any when it gets full. I also took it with me in my bag along with a spare empty bottle when I went to see the lactation consultant so I could top Bub up after feeding her while there. The lid stayed on so it was still sterile when I got there. The lactation consultant was impressed too and wrote the name down to recommend to other clients. I’m going to order a couple more since they are so cheap. Bub and I are finally getting 3 hour blocks of sleep, my supply is gradually increasing since I’m pumping regularly, and I actually had spare milk so hubby could watch her while I baked my lactation cookies and had a long shower. I’m looking forward to eventually stashing breastmilk so I can have the odd break with a babysitter here and there. I’ve only been using my manual pump properly for 2 days and for the first time my daughter actually left some breastmilk in the bottle this morning instead of guzzling the 20ml (or less) that I could pump electronically and crying for more. Her latching is getting better too. After using this pump I currently have just over 100ml sitting in a bottle ready to go, but Bub has gone to sleep. Obviously I am drinking a crapload of water and taking herbal breastfeeding supplements as well, as that was the first recommendation when Bub’s weight dropped. The manual pump was on and working hands free while I fed Bub and wrote this review on my phone. Whoever designed it is a beautiful genius. I can’t rave enough without using excessive exclamation marks. Now it’s nap time for me, too :-)Purchased at eBay.

Convenient!!!
I was sceptical about this pump, but it actually works! You just suction it on one side while feeding off the other! First go I saved 120mls off one boob!! I had to empty some out into a milk bag and re-attach! Very impressed, priced cheap and easy to clean!

Love this time saver
I got the mumasil when my baby was two months old and have never looked back. It's so convenient to use just squeeze and and sucks on I use it every morning 1for the opposite breast during morning feed it works great. Its much easier to clean only two bits also no sound made so can use with no disturbances and anywhere. I also sometimes hook the electric pump on with thw mumasil on op boob to make pumping faster. Just LOVE IT! best 25 dollars spent.

Exactly what I needed for extra milk
I was hesitant to try this- but it suction’s on well when you have the hang of it, and I collect almost as much milk in the mumasil as I do from the pumped side. This is an inexpensive way to release pressure on one side while pumping the other, and ensuring no liquid gold is lost during expressing. Great product and easy to clean. The online order directly from Mumasil was easy to do, and delivery was very quick. Definitely recommend this for anyone pumping!

Please recommend this artifact to everyone.
It's very comfortable to use without any other feeling of discomfort.
It takes about 10 minutes each time.
It is very convenient to clean up and rinse with warm water. There is no particularly complicated process.
In the future, if there is a baby's premise, I will continue to use this product.

Game changer
Having previously tried using the Medela swing to express and giving up due to sheer exasperation, the Mumasil was such a wonderful surprise.
Using this I was able to collect all leaking milk, but also more than that if I wanted depending on how long I used/the pressure I applied. It took me 2hrs to express 20ml using the Medela and I got 50ml in 15 mins with the Mumasil while feeding on the other side. This was such a huge relief because I didn't need to do a thing!
Such a simple but effective product and incredibly affordable too.
Only issues are it can be a bit difficult to clean and it can sometimes slip off if you aren't careful. Plus it looks a bit odd...but small price to pay for all the positives. Buy it now!
