The unit itself is OK. We have a wide expanse of wooden flooring and It vacuums this quite well but can get caught in some locations from time to time. In these situations, it seems to stay in one place and spin its wheels which can cause a wear mark on the floor. I have learnt to only use it when I am home as I wouldn't trust it to work unsupervised.

We use the vacuum on carpet, tiles and floating floorboards. Works really well on carpet but not so well on more solid surfaces as it flicks the crumbs/dust rather than sucking them up. I’m always surprised when emptying the vacuum how much dust it has sucked up! The downside is that it doesn’t really have a proper route of where to go and often repeats the same area over and over again rather than moving elsewhere so I often find myself guiding it with the remote. It’s a good vacuum for in between more thorough cleans with a proper vacuum.

Hopeless, doesn’t mop well, gets stuck everywhere and doesn’t go back to dock to charge. Help desk is hard to communicate with and very unhelpful. Very unhappy with this product. Instruction manual is hard to follow and not much information. Good just to do middle of floor like kitchen. Don’t buy

I have a polished floor with a lot of knots in it which i think confuses the sensors and turns it in circles and reverses unnecessary however you do need to maintain it by cleaning the filters and the sensors otherwise very happy with the machine unfortunately you can’t leave it on it’s own.

We have this on daily. Simply walk past and press the go button and off it goes. Haven't had to do a super clean for a long time now since having using this small little robo vac. Was a really handy great buy and cleaning it is as simple as turning it over and pulling out the small tray

The unit seemed to work OK for the first 6 months, then things started to go wrong. It became more and more difficult to get it to charge up until eventually it wouldn't charge at all ( error message E008 ) . It also became erratic and wouldn't respond to the remote control . Its ability to pick up dirt was not wonderful. Insufficient suction .
I lodged a warranty claim with MyDeal who replaced the battery. That made all the difference. It is like new again.

Horrible after purchase service, waiting since April for a replacement battery. They said this is an old model and need to order battery and then a month later blamed that it was misplaced. This has dragged on for so long just for a replacement battery. I’m so disappointed, didn’t even get a chance to use it, battery was dead when opened.

Runs longtime when fully charged...
Sensors get dirty easy then it goes into constant error mode and runs backwards......
Always gets stuck on my couches drives me insane...whats the point of the bumper??, remote has poor range....
Quite loud....
I cant justify spend big dollars on this and would recommend researching peoples reviews to buy the correct robo vac

I bought this hoping it would cut my vacuuming by half but it doesn't even work. I had to exchange it twice before I was able to get my money back. The first time was due to an electrical fault, battery not charging and the other time it was simply because it didn't pick up any particles. It seems to be a fundamentally flawed.
Do not buy this machine. I do not recommend it at all!

We bought this hoping it would cut down on having to do the vacuuming but it can't pick up finer dust or dust deep in the carpet. The colour is another issue as we have dark carpets and hard to see it if it didn't have its small led on. Charging is very easy

I have recently purchased this item as it was part of a promotion, when I arrived home and turned it on, did not work, I had to change the batteries. After a few times using it, it’s stopped for some reason for about one hour, it started up again, but kept banging itself on a close door.
I would say this product does not catch everything on the floor, it is not for big areas as it has a small catchment/component. It also has some directional issues and is somewhat very noisy.

I am happy with this product. It works well and picks up alot of dust. The price is very good.

I'm also happy with Kogan's customer service when the remote control wasn't working (although they gave me an address to send it back to which was returned to me), Kogan ended up just sending me a new one and didnt take long.

I had to return the first one due to an unreversable E008 error. ( Battery not recharging. I have had the second one for 10 months, had been able to get it working on the E008 error, but this last one has defeated me. It seems to be a fundamental design flaw. Donot buy this machine.

The vacuum seemed to be working at first, but suddenly failed. It would clean for about 30 seconds and then shut down. If it was manually placed back on the docking station, then re-started, it would start working again (displaying message that battery was fully charged), only to stop dead again after 30 seconds or so.

Don't bother with this product. It cost $189, which we should have realised sounded too good to be true because it really is just rubbish being cleared out cheaply.

We have used this on both Lino and carpet and found it does just as poor job on both types of floors. It only lasts for about five to ten minuets and takes hours to charge! As we have dark carpet you could also easily trip over the dang thing. But we manage to get it on clearance so can't complaint to much

....unopened. I received My Genie 15 May approx, it was billed that date. Unfortunately, as I am almost 76 years old, my family believed it would be a 'falling hazard' for me. As I break bones when I fall, I quickly agreed with them. Please advise. I have bought a few products from your company and to date, have been very happy with the product/s. It does a reasonable job but seems to re go over the same area. Instructions are terrible and not user friendly. I expected to turn it on and go on my merry way but often gets stuck under the couch, kitchen chairs or beds. We have dogs so it is handy for collecting the their hair on bamboo floor boards. It is only early days so time may change my opinion.

Product worked for about nine months. Great for cleaning up dirt on Lino floor. Then couldn't recharge. E008 lit up and that's it. How do I get a new battery. Shouldn't it last longer than this. How would I unscrew the vacuum to replace the battery? I don't have carpets so this was good for getting under furniture so I don't have to bend down. Was good while it worked!!

Use it occasionally around the house for quick little jobs when we aren't bothered to vacuum. It does the trick, we have pets so it does struggle to get every hair but its better than nothing. It is quiet and light, works well on the tiles, only gets stuck on a few things. Good purchase though. Compared to others, great price.
