Different policies for poor people - I needed to call Victoria Police about email harassment from Myer after this post
Over many decades I have been given Myer voucher cards for my birthday/Christmas. This circumstance is exacerbated for someone like myself because my birthday falls on Christmas day so friends and family often run out of ideas.
Due to lifestyle arrangements and my frequent travel, I have never had an immediate need to use these vouchers. lace a purchase. I understand this was the the policy as communicated to consumers with throughout Australia over many decades. Recently I attended a Myer store in Northland (Victoria) to use two cards in possession. Both these cards were expired but as per many experiences over previous decades I was lead to believe they would be updated by customer service so I could complete the purchase. Upon talking to customer service I was shocked to hear they would not update the cards and they suggested I call the number on the card to discuss. Please note, I was told this number was for a different company to Myer and that they are the company that issue cards on behalf of Myer Some weeks after this experience, I decided to call Myer customer service given they are Myer gift cards and it was Myer that had previously given me assurances that I would be able to use the card in this situation ie when it has expired and I wish to make a purchase. When I spoke to Myer customer service I was told that they could help me and would provide new credit but first to provide my "Myer one" card number. Six Weeks and Waiting
Ordered online on 27 May with 7 day delivery. Follow up calls/emails have had Myer support blaming their supplier and postage issues. As of 10 JAN item has still not been received or refunded.

No refund for clearance items!
Beware items bought on "reduced to clear" online or "clearance" in store cannot be returned for a refund and "may" only be exchanged for an "identical item".
Wasn't aware of this when I made some recent online purchases. Mixed bag of didn't fit or suit me. No local Myer so travelled to the closest one but unable to exchange for right size as not in store and nothing I could do with the unsuitable. Whilst in the shop I also found it confusing which items were on sale that can be returned or clearance that can't.

d it was noted in the item description also referring you to the full return policy which you scroll through to find "excluded" returns. Once the item is added to the shopping bag this policy is no longer noted. I did overlook this, as there are a lot of details in those description, but I would have been happy if an exchange for a different item had been an option. The shopping bag should also identify clearance items and the non return policy as part of the description. Currently the bottom of the shopping bag refers to "easy returns" for "change of mind" which you assume covers any items in your bag. There is no reference to items being clearance or that they can't be returned. Checkout is where you make do the final check of your order before you hit the pay button. I think this policy is unfair for online purchases which you have no idea if they are suitable until you receive them. Now stuck with clothes that I can't wear but I won't be making that mistake again and hopefully neither will you.

Absolutely horrendous behaviour.
One item from an order from Dec 26 had no hint of being processed, and when chased up I was simply given the answer that ‘it is out of stock and we meant to get back to you.’ Which they clearly didn’t bother at all.
I was to be given a Myer Returns gift card which I clearly will have no use for after this horrendous experience.

Click and Collect? More like Click and Wait
Ordered an item online, nominated to pick up at store A, was told a few days later it was sold out and issued with a refund.
Ordered the same item online to be picked up at another store B, four days later, no communication what so ever, had to to call them. Was told the item is again sold out.
They said I can go to store C to pick this up, supposed to be available by tomorrow, still waiting for confirmation e mail.

Incidentally, store transfer is an available option clearly stated on their website. I also find it is a joke to ask customer to chase up the item. Now I made a bad mistake to purchase a gift card to buy this item. Next time I will just pay cash and get the item elsewhere. It is little surprising that with this level of service, customers will simply not bother shopping at Myer, not only the prices are usually higher the customer service is really quite lacking.Similar opinion? Payment taken on 26th December no contact no shipping information
We paid for a product on the 26th of December, to date we have received nothing. No shipping information, nothing else despite reaching out about the status, both on social media and email.
My next call is to the ombudsman. No wonder these losers are getting wasted by other retailers.

Payment taken - no confirmation or items received
Ordered items on 28 December 2022.
4 days later I still have not received ANY confirmation email, tax invoice, delivery details etc yet payment has been deducted! There is no email address to contact MYER and I can’t get through by phone. No order no receipt yet payment has gone out. Not at all happy with this level of service. Ordered shoes through Style Tread on the same day which arrived within 48 hours. Can MYER please contact me urgently !

Bad management Lvl 3 George St Myer said can’t do anything coz my x’mas gift security tag stapled garment inside box.
I opened my Christmas present and inside the box has still the Security Tag! It’s securely stapled in the garment! I went to Myers George street CBD Level 3 and the manager there she told me she can’t do anything for me. She did not care at all. It’s a x’mas present of course I don’t have the receipt. Poorly managed!
Ordered a womans watch for a Christmas present and recieved a mens watch band only, not even a watch! Called Myer and was told to send the band back and i will get a refund once they recieve it. They couldnt even send me the item i ordered because apparently it was now out of stock. This put me out greatly, left me with no gift and waiting for a refund so close to Christmas.
Myer instore and online are both poorly managed and an absolute disgrace to deal with, they take no responsibility when they make mistakes and seem to be getting worse by the year.

Wrecked Christmas for my two girls!
Purchased 2 x chrome brush, comb and mirror sets for my daughters as their Christmas gifts on the 12th December. Website stated stock availability and 4 business day delivery. 6 days later after not receiving my items I called Myer online support to be told my order would be dispatched straight away in time for Christmas.
At 5pm on Christmas Eve I received an email to inform me my order was delayed but still on its way. I apologised to my 6yr old and 8yr old girls because their present wasn’t under the tree on Christmas morning but that it was coming soon.
Today Myer emailed to tell me my order had been cancelled, and told me bad luck, try sourcing somewhere else but “They understood my concern”! I’m not allowed to swear in this review....

Do not order online
Ordered an Airfryer online payment immediately deducted from my account, no confirmation email. Two calls to customer service, told order in progress and would get email in an hour or two. 72hrs later still no confirmation email after told they were "running behind". Not good enough, Myer you will be hearing from me again TBC

Don’t waste your time
Myers click and collect takes to long to process orders, and god forbid if you have to ring up to query anything. They take your money but service is non existent, they couldn’t care less. I would not recommend.

Shocking rude staff Adelaide
After receiving a Myer Voucher for xmas i went into your Adelaide CBD store, walking through the shoe department I struggled to find anyone to help me with a size, however there were several staff members throughout the floor standing together in groups chatting whilst myself and other customers struggled. Particularly irritating was having to listen to the three Tony Bianco girls chat about how they weren't lazy but there was several things they just weren't willing to do- Obviously serving customers was one of those. But i would have to say the cherry on top of this unpleasant visit was your asian staff member in the YSL makeup concession. After finding what i wanted i waited to get served but she decided to ignore me when i said excuse me the women replied with "WHAT" in an aggressive and irritated tone. I told her she was rude and i was going to take this further and i wanted her name she proceeded to put her hand over her name badge. This is the second time I have received shocking treatment from this particular staff member in the YSL makeup department. I have to say for a company that is on the verge of going down the drain you are doing everything in your power to make sure that this occurs. Unwanted gift exchange
I received an unwanted gift for Christmas that had a Myer tag on it. I assumed like all of the other big chain stores I would be able to get a credit note. No, I was asked for the receipt which I didn't have. The shop assistant got on the phone to the manager to see what to do. He came back with, "are you able to get the receipt?" top of the credit note if I had got it. Instead I promptly left the store and will not be returning. Myer wonders why their business is going down hill. No customer service and tricks like this and the one about no exchange on refunds on clearancen items that i have just read about. Beware of Return policy for Clearance items
I purchased a handbag with a clearance tag I got home and decided the bag was too big I returned the bag the following day with receipt for a refund or credit note
I was informed by the manager there are no refunds exchange or credit notes for items purchased with a clearance tag ???
When purchasing the item I was not informed of this policy. Why change a policy just before Christmas ??? There is a very small notice on a long counter of the change of policy I did not see it.Very poor disclosure of information. I will not be shopping at Myers again.
Surely this does not conform with Consumer Affairs Policy.

Returns Policy Stinks! Beware Of Sale Items Unable To Return
I've been shopping at Myers for years. Apparently from the 1st Oct 19 Myers no longer accepts returns on sale items even within a 30 day period. This is absolutely appalling and takes advantage of customers who may buy on the spur of the moment, then go home and something doesn't fit properly. Come on Myers lift your standards as this is terrible customer service and forces customers to buy online from other stores.

Disgusted with service
I ordered several items for my daughter for Christmas early December. I ordered a specific top to match a skirt i ordered, the skirt arrived but the top did not. I was not sent an email to inform me that it was out of stock or anything. After calling myer and waiting for almost half an hr to speak with someone i was told that there was no stock in Australia. You think you order early enough for Christmas
I placed my order on the 7th of December I assumed this was plenty of time for them to arrive before Christmas. Only after I call today (23rd) do they then decide to ship them much too late, have called 3 times now and they have been very unhelpful suggesting that I go and buy a different present instead. Would give negative stars if I could.

Never arrived. Merry Xmas Myer!
Vacuum cleaner never arrived. $1200 vacuum cleaner sent by Myer online with Auspost. Vacuum cleaner goes missing and no one can locate it. Myer! Poor choice of business partners let us both down. Auspost says package is missing, Myer opens investigation, we have paid but not had item delivered. Now we have to wait while an investigation wastes more time. Merry Xmas Myer.
