Not as advertised
I'm currently talking to the manufacturer about my problem so will update this If it's resolved
Not as advertised they say in 43 degree temps it will get to minus -18 well it has no chance best I got was -17 and by then the fridge section is warming up so it cuts in to cool the fridge and whilst it does that the freezer drops back to -4 or even 1 degree at times and things are melting. Fridge runs 100% of the time in these conditions.
Purchased in November 2021 at AutoPro for A$1,750.00.

Great Fridge
I bought a 60lt twin second hand on a whim, and having had dual zone fridges before from Waeco's to Engels I was frustrated that in order to operate one part as a fridge you had to run one part as a freezer, this uses more power and makes the freezer space unuseable if you don't want your food/drink frozen. The answer (for me anyway) is the NL 60lt twin, it can be used as a fridge or freezer or a combination of both, build quality is far superior to anything I have seen and having used it camping in warm weather it maintains the temperature we...Read more
ll especially inside my camper. I did a power draw comparison running my 40lt engel (same age) and they use the same amount of power when both set on 1 deg. The internal baskets are a great idea, making getting stuff out of the bottom of the fridge a breeze. For $300 more than a 60lt Engel combi fridge it's a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned. Excellent power useage @ 2.5 amps when running and did a 72 hour run to test consumption when I first purchased it and it used 0.6 amps per hour empty @ 19 deg ambient temp.
Purchased in August 2021 for A$900.00.

Best fridge ive owned
My 72ltr twin door is now 3yrs old and has run continuously on either 240 at home, or in the ute on 12volt, since I pulled it out of the box. Turned off only a few times to mop the cabinets out and then turned on again straight away. Current draw is usually between 1.9 amps to 2.5amps dependent on load in the fridge. I have owned a few other brands, a garbage chinese one in the early days ( never again ) then a couple of Engels which were reasonable fridges but drew more current than the Luna and were much noisier. The Luna is very quiet and vibration free.
I know a few people with larger Luna's ( 90 and 125ltr ) that have been running fault free for nearly 10 yrs.
Will buy another Luna again if I ever need to replace this one.

Love the 90 ltre National Luna
We have the 90 litre duel control, can be fridge and freezer. I used both sides as a fridge. I fitted heaps in it and was used continuously for 10 months in all types of weather (up to 45 degrees +) never missed a beat and didnt draw heaps of power either. Would definitely buy this brand again.

Not as advertised
Bought a 72 Lt fridge freezer. Filled it with food and ran it for a week with the fridge side set to 2 degrees and the freezer side at -16 to try get iceblocks to freeze.
It ran 80% of the time in 30 degree heat on 240volts in a house.
Turning the freezer down further for deep-freeze makes it run 90- 100% of the time.
Doesn't live up to advertised power usage and won't go below -20 even though it can be set to -24.

Truly worth every bit of my money
I purchased my first national Luna 60L stainless steel fridge & freezer about 10 months ago, I have also since purchased another one just the other day, I sold my Engel 57 litre combi to purchase it as I wasn't impressed with the noise engel compressor made and the combi setup doesn't really work that well, the national Luna uses the world renowned danfoss compressor and was originally built to world health organisation standards. Mine runes dual thermostat so you can set each bin independent of the other the bonus is you can also use both bins...Read more
as a fridge if your requirements change the freezer side is 25L and has 60mm of installation and the fridge side is 35L and has 43mm installation. I've been on quite a few trips canning stock route for one and in 43degree temp it still maintain -1 at what I had it set it with ease the compressor doesn't cycle as much as my engel use to, and it's virtually silent when it's not in my 4wd it's in the shed for drink fridge so it pretty much never gets turned off, it's never missed a beat very solidly built I do have a protective cover on mine but when I tested it without the cover performance was not effected at all I can highly recommended these fridges yes they are very expensive but I believe in the old saying you get what you pay for.Similar opinion? ltr. Will pull down to -30deg if needed ( probably never ) and will carry all my frozen stuff and free up the 72ltr to be used as a beer fridge on one side at -2deg and the other side can be left at 3 or 4 deg for my food. It has 60mm insulated walls and doesn't need to run for long or too often. My 90amp/hr battery will run both Luna's for 24hrs and still be at 12.1 volts.
