Over priced & frequent regurgitation
I found this item to be over priced compared to other fish oils. I suspect the fish oil is sourced from the same raw materials as the cheaper brands... I also had a lot of fish reflux and noticed no improvement in my body functions, joint pain or over all well being?

Essential product for good skin
I suffer from an eczema complaint, and fish oil seems to be the only simple solution, after years of trying topical cortisone creams. I need 4 - 6 g per day, and I see instant benefits from the fish oil, if I forget to take them, my skin begins to break out. 5 years ago I initally started to take normal fish oil but the continual fishy burping after taking the fish oil tabs was uncomfortable. Solution was the Natures Own odourless capsules. I now take the 2 g capsules and never have the burping issue at all. I did waiver recently and tried the ...Read more
'healthy care' odourless fish oil tablet which were much cheaper, but found that they were really just deodorised and not odourless and still caused burping and discomfort, even on a full stomach. One tip though - when you buy your new bottle of capsules, check the use by date, as the omega 3 oils are prone to oxidation over time and can become rancid, which is why you must keep them in a cool place out of sunlight, with the lid on the bottle.

Stomach pain
I have taken fish oil daily for a number of years now but had never tried this brand but seen them on special at the supermarket and thought fish oil is fish oil right? WRONG! 3 days in and everytime I take them have bad stomach pain for hours after so in the bin they've gone and off to buy another brand tomorrow. Jumped on here to see if anyone else has had the same problem and obviously they have!

stomach pains
Both my husband and I started taking this fish oil on doctor's recommendation, and immediately we had problems. My husband had diarrhea every day after taking this odourless fish oil, and I had severe stomach pains and woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible taste in my mouth. It also does not have a warning that it should not be taken if you are taking other blood thinning medication. The ingredient list is not very comprehensive. How and what is the fish oil dervied from??? And why has it got orange juice in it??? Very strange. Waste of money!!! Looking for something else to take for our arthritis.
Nothing
Diarrhea, stomach pains, interfers with other blooding thinning medication.

Good
Overall, this is a good omega 3 supplement that you can take once in a while when you aren't eating enough fish in your diet.
Good source of natural omega 3 oil which can promote good joint health and clear up minor skin conditions, among other things. I like that the product doesn't contain any dangerous ingredients and is free from any derivatives (of wheat, milk, etc) and the price was reasonable, though could probably be a little cheaper.
The tablet is quite large so you might have trouble the first time you try to swallow it. Also, while it is odourless, it has a pretty strong aftertaste at times. It also shouldn't be taken on an empty stomach.

I've been taking Nature's Own Omega 3 for years for a variety of ailments including joint pain. I have a weak stomach and haven't had a problem with the capsules unless I take them on an empty stomach which I don't think is recommended by the company. Nature's Own also makes an Omega 3 capsule that is combined with a multi-vitamin which is very helpful. I'm amazed that the product does not have a fishy after-taste.
Nature's Own lives up to the claim of the capsule being 'odourless'.
Can sometimes make you feel sick if you take it on an empty stomach.

Overall I find these tablets good. I am finding my nails, hair and dry skin getting better and I am hoping it will help with the joint pain and inflamation of my Rhuematoid Arthritis, I haven't been taking them for long enough yet to know.
easy to take, with no fishy aftertaste, quite well priced and easily available.helps my dry skin,& am seeing if it helps my arthritis, easy to take off lid!
although for the most of the time you can't taste the fishiness - sometimes if you belch-you can. sometimes the capsule 'floats' on top of your mouth and I have to swllow a few times or so, but nothing too bad, and not all the time( maybe just me!)

Lately I have found these to have a very fishy smell - I have to wash my hands after handling them. Anyone else?
I have had to stop taking them - as they give me instant diahrea!!!! might try the krill oil next to see if thats better.
Just opened a new container- no smell at all!! Thanks very much to all those experts who told me they always smell but don't leave an after-taste! I've been taking them for years and will be returning any smelly ones in future - ripped off.

If you want to try a fish oil supplement, the Natures Own odourless would be a good choice, or if you've tried cheaper brands that you find leave an aftertaste, try this one.
Just in case you haven't heard, we are supposed to be eating more fish, particularly the oily types like mackerel, salmon and tuna, and less red meat, to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I like fish, but I also take a fish oil tablet daily to boost the Omega-3 vitamin intake. I've tried slightly cheaper brands, that do leave a very slight fishy aftertaste, but Natures Own odourless capsules have no discernable aftertaste, and the price is still reasonable.
I can't think of any bad things about taking a fish oil supplement.

Although the idea of drinking fish oil, even if it is good for you, does not impress most people, swallowing a flavourless capsule is a much nicer idea when you think about it. The other bonus about these pills is that they are not very exoensive, especially compared to other health supplements. Nature's Own Omega 3 odourless fish oil is also great for your health. I do not eat much red meat and I hate seafood, so by taking these pills I can ensure that my body is still getting the vitamins that it needs, especially with my busy lifestyle.

I've taken these tablets on and off for the past few years. Essentially I take them for my skin conditions. I suffer from atypical ezcema and it's alot cheaper to take these tablets than to eat smoked salmon everyday, which is another source of omega oils. I have found that when I'm taking these fish oil tablets, my skin (especially my hands since I use soap cleansers at work everyday) doesn't dry out as much and I am able to keep my ezcema under control. Gone are the days as I child when my mother used to force a tablespoon of the bad tasting liquid form on us each morning!
They really are odourless!
Tablets can be tricky to swallow.

I have dry skin and this product helps give my skin a glow and making me look more healthy. As I don't eat fish often, this product is great to provide omega 3 supplement to one's diet. It also helps regulate digestion, as well as making one feeling healthy and energetic. I will definitely buy this product again. I don't take this product every day, so it lasts me for a long time.
Affordable, helps to give the skin a glow. Promotes energy. Helps with digestion.
I find that if I take this supplement on a daily basis over a long period of time, my stomach can get temporarily bloated.

I can't stand fish so a supplement is perfect for me. But I'm not good at taking tablets every day. I have arthritis so it is perfect for that for what I understand. I do wonder what they do to take the taste out. It doesn't give me that horrid after taste that some of the other fish oil tablets I've tried does. The cost is reasonable. Some people say that fish oil also helps with depression so that is a great positive if it can do that.
Tastes OK
I'm not a huge fan of taking tablets

with all the hype about at the moment about all the benefits of fish oil it is hard to find any one who would not benefit from taking this prduct which is easy to swallow and tastes OK after wards
this is a good brand and I thinks the health benefits from taking it are huge
i can not help wondering if some of the benefits of the original fish oil are not lost in the process of making this oil odourless - what I mean is, how many chemical processes does it have to go through to make it this way?

This is a great way to take in the essential fatty acids. We need these to keep our joints healthy. In our society there is a really high rate of arthritis and joint injury. I think that this is because of the poor diet that goes with living in the western world. This is a very easy way to get all the nourishment of fish oil for our joints without having to have access to frest fish every day.
This is a great way to increase you intake of essential fatty acids.
The taste is not always that easy to take.

The capsules are easy to swallow, and they do not spend the next few hours reminding you that you have swallowed something fishy. It gives me the same amount of vitality as other fish oil capules of 100mgs, so I guess they haven't damaged its health-giving properties by removing the odour. They say the level of mercury is not high, which is important in a product from the sea. The price is reasonable compared to similar products.
It really does not taste fishy.
I worry about what they have done to it to get rid of the fish taste.
