NO SOUND FROM MY NAVMAN ezy260lmt

Hi tedf,

Sorry to know that your device has no sound. Not to worry, I am here to help.

The first thing I would suggest is to check if your device’s speaker is working. Please go to Main menu > Settings > Audio. Select the desired volume level. You should hear a “test” sound. If the device is not producing any sound, please perform a hard reset by poking the reset hole at the back of it.

My ezy260lmt has trouble finding a satellite signal, then goes back to the licence agreement page?

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your device.



The first thing I would suggest is to charge the device via in-car power/AC adapter for 30 mins or 1 hr via USB cable to your computer. Then, perform a hard reset to the device by poking the reset hole at the back.

If the device is still having a problem acquiring GPS signal, reset the GPS by going to Settings > Device > Reset GPS > tap Yes to confirm. Once reset, take the Navman outside with a clear view of the sky and leave it for 5-10 minutes to get a GPS signal.

Have an EZY260LMT gps, I think I have accidentally deleted the maps and I can't get them back, also it tells me the disc needs repair

I cannot do anything with my EZY260LMT as it has frozen, it says " has to shut down due to an error " and I can't do anything, it will switch on for about 10 seconds then the error comes up on the screen with a bong sort of a noise .

Does this show me the speed I am driving?

Yes it does square box on r/h side click on it and it will drop down different applications . This is not a good naveman . Better models out there . I had a lot of trouble with it freezing and would not update the maps cheers .

how do i tell that i have the free life time update ?
I have tried updating the nav which is a ezy260lmt. the maps version loaded is 2015.02, core mapping 2012q3

Hi Doug,

The LM on the model name means 'Lifetime Maps', however, this has been renamed to "Free Maps Included". It is still the same offer with just a different name. With Free Maps Included, you are still eligible for a minimum of 2, and maximum of 4 map updates per year for the regions pre-loaded on your Navman, until your device can no longer facilitate a new map.

To make sure that the map update will be installed properly, please take note of the following:
• You will need your unit, USB cable, NavDesk software and a compatible computer (Windows Vista (32-bit only), Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, and Mac OSX 10.0 to 10.12 only).
• We advise that you back up any saved data/POI/My Places on the Navman to your PC to ensure that you do not lose any of the saved information. My Navman EZY260LMT, has only been used about 6 times in its life, got it out to use and an application error comes up MioBT.exe serious error and must shut down, it shuts down and then opens again with same error till i turn it off, so its un useable, can you please help me,

Hi Carol,

Sorry to know that you're having such troubles. Let me do my best to help. Obviously, this is a software related issue. You can try the following steps to help you fix the problem:

1. Charge the unit for at least:
o 30 minutes using an AC adaptor (5V/1A).
o 1hr via USB to the computer.
o 30 minutes using the car power adaptor with the device turned off.

2. Reset the device by poking the pinhole located at the back of the GPS for 5 seconds.

3. If the unit is still frozen, perform a Smart Recovery using the disc that was supplied with the device upon purchase. This process can only be done using a compatible Windows computer that has a DVD drive. how do i know when my ezy260lmt has finished updating from the internet it seams to take a very long time?

You must remove old maps first then up date, should only take 5 or 6 minutes.
When you plug into your computer go to my Navman then on the lower right you will see remove old maps click that and Navman will remove maps and install new maps BUT only if you have FREE LIFE TIME UP DATE
