Have used the patch on m85lm. device says update successful but time incorrect and date shows 06/04/19. what can I do now?
You're doing well, mine thinks it's 2014. And we feared the millennium virus.

Insure and hammer would be my advice.
Have contacted Australian agent Mitac. Have arranged for unit to be sent to them for repair.
You could try in settings, units, date format.
It looks like yankee date format mm/dd/yy.
Change it to dd/mm/yy.

Further to my last question; Yes, I downloaded the patch and tried to install. It only shows two rows of green text, but no indication of progress. I had it possibly running for close to an hour with no indication of progress. Approximately, how long would it take for the patch to get installed? Is there are success message at the end of installation? And I didn't see any "blue text" as said in the instructions. Only green text was visible.
Normally it takes the most 10 minutes. I would think you need to contact support. otherwise this is what I would do. Return it back to factory default. Update using this info here

Since recently its showing the date as 01/01/14 and the time is wrong as well. I tried the patch as well but it takes a long time to run it and it does not indicate whether the patch is running or not. All I get it the black screen with two rows of green text. Roughly how long does it take the update to run? I reset the device and the date changed to 06/04/2019 and jumped back to 01/01/14 as soon as it got gps signal. Will the patch resolve this issue as well?
There is a patch you need to down load. Install onto your memory card. It runs when you turn on. Just follow the instructions

hi, I just bought navman85lm, just charging it, does it have built in maps I put the CD in my lap top and its not doing anything.
The maps are fully installed in the unit. The cd is to help to connect unit to pc etc. Manuals too. Strange my unit had no cd. Otherwise its all good.

Haven't seen any updates, so doubtful it will b fixed. No menu slot to change time or auto change day/night. Turn down brightness to use at night

It's still FAR better than the 2014 date and completely nonsensical time that I was getting.

I noticed that lately, the daylight and night modes have flipped on my NAVMAN MOVE85LM. After googling about it, I reached this forum and attempted to install the said patch. After installation, the unit power light is always on and the screen is blank (no display/Black). Trying to switch off by depressing the power button does not work and the unit then eventually shuts down when the battery power is exhausted.
I desperately need this fixed as I use my unit daily and not sure if the JB Hi Fi would replace the faulty unit (purchased in 2017)
Can the Navman Techs guide me through how to restore functionality on my unit?

I have a Move70LM and its in reverse, dark during the day and bright at night. Ive emailed your company many times only to be told I have to send it in. Not happening as I need it to get to my daughters as she has just had a baby. I follow all your instructions but its not working as my navman does not have a sim card and when I connect to the computer it just shows the computer screen and link line to navman. HELP PLEASE
My Navman 85LM is only 9 months old and wont alternate between night and day even with the right setting and has only occurred since the end of daylight saving. I'ved rebooted it back to default settings twice.
