Poor Window Hold
I am Frustrated !! - Navman Arm is now duct taped to the window !!
Have now replaced 2 hold arms for the windscreen -the silicone pad is useless after 8months - whole arm needs replacing each time by headoffice (at my cost)
Navman itself is ok
Needs improvement

Hi Thomas,
Im sorry to hear about your experience. unfortunately the silicone can loose its stickiness over time due to environmental factors (mainly UV rays) It is always best to remove the mount when not in use.... Read more
Thanks! Senior Navman SupportNeeds to be a cheaper form of repurchasing arms over and over when the arm item is fine

Hi Thomas,
I can certainly understand the sentiment. unfortunately the mount is manufactured as a single unit, so it is not possible to split, however i will definitely pass on the feedback to our product managers for you.... Read more

Thanks Staff @ Navman
I am here to change my opinion on Navman..
I had BIG ISSUES with my original GPS -
NAVMAN - MY TRUCK II
In my personal opinion I believe that on my original phone call/complaint I had someone who was having a bad day and couldn’t care less..
With my recent dealings with NAVMAN I couldn’t be happier.. They were courteous, polite and couldn’t do enough to help me..
They resolved my initial problem and there is no way I could praise them or thank them enough..

Just bought another Navman Dash Cam..
If it’s as good as the last one we are on a winner.. I had the last one 2 yrs and not an issue, it will now be put in 1 of our cars and the new 1 will go in the truck and be used constantly on the highway..

Not good
Terrible product. I can't imagine anyone relying on this device for navigation. First, loading is very slow and the screen tends to freeze for like every 3 minutes. Then, after using it for a couple of days, the touch screen got all warped and wouldn't work properly. After dealing with all these issues, I just bought a new nav system from a different company.

Absolute rubbish. Never buy navman. From day one battery defunct. Later the speaker became defunct no sound. Three hundred and fifty bucks and that's the quality you get. It wasn't cheap but who makes it is cheap and nasty. Stay away from navman products. Very disappointed. Have had tom tom but decided to buy this for av in so as to have reverse camera.

Absolute rubbish
Bought mytruck 2, half the touch screen wouldn't work and kept turning its self off on the first day. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. I had just started navigating B Double and road train routes and having the system turn its self off every 2 minutes after restarting it was not only annoying but unsafe as it took my attention away from the road to the piece of crap on the dash. Have sent it in to be replaced. Wish I had read these reviews before I wasted my money.

This perfect crap
Kept shutting down, freezing and go lost I am lucky I wasn't driving a B-Double or even a coach but I was driving a motor home at 4.5 metres high with a 14 foot trailer. We were traveling from Melbourne to Canberra using the old highway as much as possible.

Do not buy Navman My Truck II
I bought the same model for my new job as I am a truck driver. Having the same problems, it keeps shutting down. Thank goodness I read your review as I was going to return it for the same thinking I had a faulty product. Will be seeking a refund as I need a replacement GPS ASAP that works!!

GPS kept switching itself off while on a journey
My Truck II - The unit would turn itself off while on route, so we had to keep pressing the power button to wake it up, it also gave us wrong directions. Called Navman support to help me with the power issues, they recommend that I reinstall the software which I did, the unit still played up. I ended up returning the GPS and swapped it for a Tom Tom.

would never recommend this!
I would never recommend the navman my truck 2 GPS, I'm a charter bus driver, I've set the vehicle dimensions and done updates but it still can't find common streets, takes me to low bridges and takes unnecessary longer routes or wrong directions, the speed limit indicater changes whilst the speed limit signs posted on the side of the road remain the same. I would never recommend this GPS to anyone and the hassle trying to fix the problem after returning to the retailer where I bought it isn't worth the hassle. Do yourselves a favour and save your money for a GPS that actually does what it claims.

Great GPS. Good luck with the map updates...
Good GPS in my truck as such. Seems to pick B Double rated routes well BUT...
The map updating software is simply terrible. Unwieldly, difficult to use and even if you follow Navman's step by step instructions, there is no guarantee the iso will download and that updates will be installed to the unit. The Navdesk V7.50 software is clunky as hell as well....

Freezes
Purchased the series two for our prime mover.
It has a disgusting habit of no gps signal and the bloody thing freezes.
On our last round trip it froze so many times that we relied on the old "my" series gps.
During our recent round trip it froze in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Whyalla, Port Augusta and then froze from Peterborough through to Cobar!
Then from Nyngan to Narrabri via Dubbo it froze again.
The only time it did not freeze was between Narrabri & Goondiwindi.
What I cannot figure out is why it freezes and has difficulty obtainin...Read more

Navman My Truck II
Very disappointing piece of equipment. Navman my truck II got us lost many times. Took us in circles, through small narrow streets, in fact everywhere we didn't need to go. It is useless for trucks especially oversize loads as it won't accept any wider than 2.5 metres. Its a complete waste of money. I also wish I had read these reviews. We will never purchase any Navman products in the future.

Its a FIZZER stahy away from them
I bought mine before they were released I have had it 5 months I have updated it twice and it still has'nt solved any problems.
In fact it has made it worse.
1. the speed limits are out, shows 50 when it is actually 70.
2. It notifies me of traffic lights, school zones, speed changes, railway crossings (to mention a few) it tells me they are 260 metres away AFTER I have gone past them.
3. I can be travelling down a well used freeway or highway and it will show I am off to the left in the bush telling me in 200 metres turn left and t...Read more

No route available
I wish I'd read these reviews before buying MYTRUCK. To add to the list of problems others have mentioned(problems I had with mine also), mine often directed me onto load-restricted or non-existent roads. 'Unsurfaced roads' was a favourite line along with 'can not calculate route' and 'no route available', to places I had been to previously luckily, so I could find my own way. As for warning about steep descents or fixed cameras etc. ... nothing. After about 6 months of corresponding with Navman support(that's another story) doing upgrades on a...Read more
brand new product, reloading the software, sending it back for repair, upgrading maps again, getting a replacement unit, upgrading maps again, ... I'd had enough and asked for a full refund. Eventually (after a wake-up call), they authorised a full refund from Harvey Norman where I'd bought it, who I can't fault. They were great. Looking at reviews for Garmin DEZL, it doesn't appear they're worth owning either. Can't anyone make a GPS for trucks that does what is claimed?Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Navman My Truck
Recently purchased the Navman My Truck it is terrible as other people have said it freezes when you put In a route tells you there are unsealed roafs when there are not .. I do a regular run which is 1960 kms it tells me its 2210 kms I've updated it not happy at all expecially now I've searched the freezing problem which seems fairly common might just take this to fair trade I think Navman are obviously selling faulty devices so my advice would be spend your money on street directory cheaper and less headache. .... Don't buy it
It doesn't even try to work

Questions & Answers
Mardi H.asked
Will this accomodate roadtrains? We mainly operate roadtrains and sometimes b doubles
3 answers
Unsure about road trains as there is a box to tick to say b double.. I don’t have the actual system here at the moment.. It’s in the truck at the depot.. When I set it up initially I entered 64.5 Tonne, 26 meter length, 2.5 wide & 4.3 high.. I am fairly certain that weight and length can be put higher but unsure what the maximum limits are..
Yes Gr8 for programming truck runs, highlight large freight routes and better direction for larger vehicles, and lane locations and blockages up ahead
NavSupport A.Navman
Hi Mardi,
Thank you for posting your query.
Mick Rae and Thomas are correct. We can set up the truck dimensions into the device as it has Truck mode feature and the maximum truck weight that you can set is 68T including load. Please be informed that the My truck III is not suitable for road trains or B triple.
Regards,
The Navman Team
Montyasked
Does it have road train b double routes?
3 answers
Yes it is in the software program already
BDouble yes..
I operate B Doubles but I also don’t rely wholly on any GPS.. I always double check my routes..
Also I have found the B Double routes aren’t always accurate.. I would say due to the Govt changing all the time..
It tells me at times my route isn’t B Double rated do I want to continue and if I am sure it is I continue.. Others tell me I can’t do it to either height, weight or even length restrictions.. Again if I know I am ok I go into car mode and continue..
Minor thing really..
Overall I am pleased..
NavSupport A.Navman
Hi Monty,
They are right. B-double route is built in for the MY Truck 3. For your convenience, you may download the user manual here: https://www.navman.com.au/gps-user-guides
Thank you.

I spent $400 on a Navman my escape iii as I started new job driving 12 tonne ridged truck in Sydney I put it in truck mode and set dimensions and it brought me down street where you would barely fit a car very annoyed spent big as I wanted a sat Nav I could trust any one else have this problem?
2 answers
Yeah mate. The navman my truck 2 has done that to me as well, maybe the $500 I paid for the GPS wasn't enough to pay for the GPS and for the tasks its meant to do.
The MYtruck2 will do this as well.
You will need to get into the programming side of the unit and put the vehicles weight, length & height.
This should help.
Our truck2 freezes and has bought us up towards a low bridges and tried to take us down very narrow streets.
Not the greatest idea when you're driving a semi; and in an area you don't know.
