Nilodor Deodorizer Concentrate Questions & Answers

IMPORTANT! The first thing to remember when using this product is NEVER, EVER apply the product directly to anything you wish to deodorise, as it will leave its own characteristic smell, and this can be a problem. In order to absorb odours, put the Nilodor onto a saucer, or a suitable disposable item (such as a plastic bottle cap of suitable size) which can be positioned close to the source of the odour. If you intend to drive the car during the deodorising attempt, remove the saucer (or bottle cap, etc) and put it back again when the car is not in use. Alternatively, make sure the saucer or bottle cap (or whatever you decide to use) is secured in such a way that it cannot dislodge or tip over while you are driving. I'm not sure whether the Nilodor will be powerful enough for this job, but try leaving it in place for at least a few days. If you use a saucer, it can be washed clean in a dishwasher. If you clean it by hand, be careful not to get the Nilodor on your skin. If you use a disposable item, just discard it in your rubbish bin when you are finished with it. If this fails, you could consult a car air conditioning company to see if they can do anything with it. Good luck!

Yes I understand the disgusting smell you describe, it was described on line as the smell of rotting flesh, absolutely correct.
We had this smell in the kitchen, and after spending days cleaning areas that didn’t need cleaning, we discovered the source, it was a huge water rat fried in the wiring of our practically new oven so after days again of cleaning, the smell was still there, and we had used everything we could find to remove this stench with no results. I was then told of NilOdour $7.40 in Coles, and within a day we had cleared the smell, cannot recommend it enough. It comes in a spray and a drop bottle.. the only complaint with the spray it leaks down the bottle when you spray might be a faulty spray container, but still 5*

I buy mine from Woolworths. Coles should have it as well. You should find it in the laundry aisle. Its around $10. Is a very small bottle, so you will have to look hard for it amongst all the other stuff in that aisle. Hope this helps. And I hope Nilodor works well for you.

Yes, it probably can help. Do as I suggested - put 2 drops onto a saucer, place into the room for at least a couple of hours, & shut the door if you can. Nilodor should help eliminate the strong smells of newly laid carpet. Its great for getting rid of odours in the car as well. A drop or two onto a saucer on the floor of the car for an hour or so. Car comes up smelling so much nicer - especially when dogs have been passengers! :)

Geez, thats not good, a fish smell has seeped into your ceasarstone bench top. I'm not sure if you should be putting Nilodor straight onto the bench top. It might do some damage. Just looked at my bottle for you. Best that you contact Cussons direct, & ask them. I can only suggest that you try it & see. Put a drop or two of Nilodor onto a saucer, keep it in the room for an hour or so, remove the saucer, & see what happens. You might have to repeat the process a few times. A gassing odour from a new mattress? Sounds awful.That can't be good for one's health. Remind me not to buy a new mattress anytime soon!

Hi Serpil, If you've put one or two drops on a saucer, & the smell is too much, then take the saucer out of the room & open all the windows for as long as you can. I never had this problem when I put one or two drops on a saucer because I didn't leave it in the room for hours & hours. If, however, you've put many drops here & there onto carpet or other floor coverings, then you are going to have a hard job getting rid of the smell.

It was really hard for me too. I ran the cap under hot tap water and then used that kitchen non-slip liner stuff in both hands to twist the cap off. I've never come across a product where the cap was as tight as this before.
