The only thing I don’t like is the cheap paint and cost of Sat Nav map update.
I have had my 2014 Ti Hybrid Pathfinder for over 4 years now and I’m very happy with it. It’s quiet, runs smoothly, has great pickup from stop, handles the road well and is comfortable. I drive 30km each way to/from work each day in the outer suburbs. I had not had any mechanical or noise problems since I bought the car brand new except after my battery died and the electronics affected my boot from opening and closing automatically, contacted my service centre who reset it at no charge. It gets serviced as per service book.
I love the reverse...Read more

Good car
We upgraded from a hatchback to this super spacious SUV. Though it doesn't have the power or stability of a BMW which we owned earlier this is a decent SUV with all the features you dont get on a top tier SUV like rovers. The interiors are super luxurious and the tech is great with the dual screen on the back seats, very good to keep toddlers/young kids happy.

Good Family Car
This is great with the video players in the back for the kids. Has power to get you out of trouble if you need it. Lots of space. Just needs a back window to open to fit bikes in other wise its perfect. My favourite part is having quiet kids in the back while im driving :)

Perfect family car
It is perfect family car and it is a really a good driving experience . The seven seater has enough leg room at the back and the Bose speakers are really neat. The only downside is the fuel consumption. the TO model has all features included and it is value for money at the price advertised.

Love it
Can't recommend this car enough. Roomy interior, massive boot space and easy access to the rear seats.
The kids love the climate control in the rear and the inbuilt entertainment system. The heated/cooled seats for summer/winter make long driving so much more comfortable.
Our camping trips are so much easier now.

TI Pathfinder Transmission problems
This is my first new Nissan after being a Toyota customer for more than 10 years. Unfortunately the car developed transmission vibration and after some research I am not the only one. The vehicle started having this issue at 5K and now after many times back to the dealer at 28K the transition is getting changed. As I understand many cars had the transmission changed more than once with the fault coming back. This is well know issue to Nissan I am sure but they are playing very low. I hope the transmission change will fix the issue in my case otherwise I will become their worst nightmare.

Terrible Customer Service - Beware the pitfalls of Nissan...
We bought a Nissan Pathfinder TI 4x4 Hybrid around a year or so ago- and for the most part it's actually been a pretty good car in itself. i read some reviews about issues with gearboxes etc but we didn't have any of those.
I hit a kangaroo recently in the car - and that's where all our issues began! my insurer - AAMI have bee really good they arranged a repair promptly - and the car was put back together and cosmetically in a week - but that was just the beginning... it's taken 5 weeks so far for Nissan to get the parts into the country fo...Read more
r the completion of the repair, and when i called Nissan Motor Co Customer service (over 5 days each day to follow them up) their eventual response was that the wiring loom i needed was not spared in country. it won't arrive for another 6 weeks! Their attitude was that they thought this a reasonable response, and weren't responsible for parts supply anything less than 3 months - so the car will be off the road until the end of December at the very least. No loan cars are available and they weren't interested in helping either. I'm astonished at the service - given we paid $65k for a brand new family car a year ago and are now stuck with a car that can't move for 3 months with no consideration from the importer/manufacturer/marketer. think about this when you next buy a car - as we have 3 kids to ferry around. our other car is an Audi A4, and even when they have a minor service item to attend to - they are always keep to make amends to keep you happy and on the road. diappointed with features
I have just picked up the 2016 model Pathfinder TI and was shocked a bit to find how outdated the infoentertainment system is compared to a 2013 VF Calais that I traded on the vehicle. My fault is that I assumed because I was purchasing a 2016 top of the range vehicle that the infoentertainment systems would be the latest with features but I was totally wrong. The Satnav is out of date with maps and features, I have noticed roads that are 3 years old not on the map system, the system is old to does not display a lot of information such as sp...Read more
eed traveling, speed in the area driving basically it just displays the map. I have asked the dealer that sold the vehicle about map updates but Nissan Australia answer back was that’s what the vehicles come with, not really concerned about customer assistance. Rear DVD head rests could have better quality features but do the job. The Bluetooth music streaming is really outdated again not displaying much on the screen, the radio system is poor and out dated and to top it off the phone Bluetooth system is way out dated, there is a button only on the steering wheel to activate it but again even after doing so the system has very out outdated features which makes it not user friendly. The camera/reversing system is poor, has poor quality images and lacks todays features and should be far more superior considering the size of the vehicle and blind spots it has. Other poor features for a top of the range 2016 model car no exterior courtesy lights, no warning if keys are left in the vehicle, no digital odometer, cannot open back door from button only front doors, poor system settings, main screen in speedo area is useless and again outdated with what it is displayed and with features. On a positive note and what sucked me in is the seating system is great including interior room and the car drives well, built to carry 7 people not like some of the others. In a nutshell poor features for a TI model that should have all the latest features for the cost of the vehicle, if you want a large vehicle and can sacrifice latest features you better off going with a ST or ST-L model for the money. Hopefully Nissan have updates soon for the outdate infoentertainment system but considering there response I would not hold my breath.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect for Family car if you do not want People Mover
UPDATE: 6/8/17
After owning the Pathfinder more than a year now
Add to negative:
- the paint somehow thin... so easy to get stone chips from highway driving
- Bluetooth still crap, even after a reset by the dealership.
- After seeing CX-9, which is cheaper and better quality, this is not worth RRP$75k. The only thing that makes CX-9 perfect is the around view monitor.
Good:
- I am still averaging 9.4lt/100, good one for 7 seater SUV
- kids still love the rear entertainment

Piece of crap, just sold it after 14 months.
Bad experience from start to finish. Customer service is shocking. Issues: broken boot floor handle, faulty power tailgate, shuddering transmission, key sensor issues, clear coat bubbling on bumper, bluetooth is crap, plastics inside falling off, no rain sensing wipers on $60k car, front sensors were optional! Steer clear of Nissan, their claims to offer 'more' are rubbish. Will never, ever touch another Nissan.

Not sure what SUV to purchase...
We are wanting to purchase a SUV for the family and we are tossing and turning between the Pathfinder HI R52 or the Kluger Grande!
The space inside the Nissan is very spacious however I've gathered from the reviews the engine plays up after a while. However the Kluger lacks space from the inside yet I've delt with the service Toyota offers for the past 4 years and they seem to be genuine with the service.
I'd like some advice as to what I should be going for or if there are any 7 seatet SUV out thete that you may recommend.

Good car but need alot of improvement
It is a good car with value for what it has to offer. We bought the TI top of the range with the lot.
I find the 360 degrees camera really handy as I'm used to driving smaller cars. It helps parking in shopping centers so much easier.
The car is so big I can't even reach my handbag on the floor of the passenger's side. Forget about reaching my child in her car seat. That said, those who want a car that is big enough to put 3 car seats across the 2nd row, I suggest to buy slimline/compact seats as guarantee you won't fit all 3 normal width...Read more
seats in this car. We have a Safe N Sound Platinum Pro and it's taking nearly half the width. Boot is massive but it's never big enough for a mother with a big pram. My Joolz Geo just fits in. A car in this class should really have adaptive speed control. I really wish Nissan included this feature.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Piece of junk
Avoid Nissan, not just pathfinder but the brand as a whole. 5 years and nothing but trouble. Nissan has the worst customer care, feel like you are talking to Bandidos bike club member.

ve your music system on or sunroof open, once engine is shut down it won't close that means no security from car thieves, run, rain, dust. I had a 2001 HYUNDAI grandeur and it had all these function. Once i took key out of ignition and opened driver's door everything will shut down automatically which saves battery and u don't have music baring in a locked car parked on starry or garage. I don't know if Nissan engineers sleeping or it was a cost cutting shortcut. I wish it had few more advanced safety features such radar cruise control, emergency stopping, lane departure warning and stop start to save fuel for a vehicle that cost 60K. Nissan only gives 3 years warrens so I had to pay extra to purchase another 3 years which another way Nissan rips customers off. Kia and Hyundi comes with 7 years warranty. Nissan r u listening?????Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Better experience than VW
Clocked up 22k in 16 months without any issues. Huge book and cabin space, always a struggle to fill the car which is a good proble and comfortable with TV's for the kids on those longer trips. Petrol returning 14L for mostly city driving with 10L on Freeway. Aircon is great as is heated and ventilated seats.

fter the car was at a stand stop position. This new fault has been experienced very intermittently but with within 500 KLM of each other. The car has now done 4000 klm with the new transmission and the last 800 klms the issue has not come back again. But its early days yet. This issue is a internal belt slipping issue and the gearbox jumps to neutral gear for a second or two and back on power possibly an electronic issue as well. too early to tell as this is extremely difficult to generate. In my view this is more dangerous fault losing power when you just want to accelerate from standing still. As I am recording the issues I believe the dealer will see this car again for another change if this fault appears again
