Value for Money, tow vehicle.
Purchased the Patrol in July 2018, has only covered 20,000 Km but nearly all towing a 3 ton Caravan.
I maintain strict records for each trip and am yet to use over 20L/100K for trip. We have not done any long trips out of the state (WA) as yet but have been as far as Kalbarri (19.8L/100K headwind) and Albany 17.8 L/100K (tailwind) . This car has sufficient power to allow good use of cruise control (Forrest Highway, although not in hilly terrain) and this does seem to keep consumption down. I use the gearbox in manual mode, usually 5th or 6th.

Quite comfy and that V8 :)
Bought new in april and have put 10k kms on it, gets used on road and off road! Love it!
Around town averages 14.5ltrs per 100, out on the open roard averages 12ltrs per 100.
It feels very nimble for a large car, there has been a few rattles and squeaks in interior but nothing to hard to fix..
Offroad its very capable, all the different modes and diff lock is very handy..
Very happy with the buy..
Purchased in April 2021 at Nissan Dealers for $68,000.00.

Poor Quality Paint and Factory Tyres
After owner a land cruiser for last 10 years I made the change and regretting it already after 20,000kms. Going through the forums and from my experience Nissan Patrols paint is not up to Australian conditions unless you don't ever take it of the bitumen. Paint chips everywhere and Nissan can't explain. seems like a common issue. Also factory tyres are shot after 20,000kms and need replacing again. Alignments all in spec but no explanation or acknowledgment from Nissan, There customer service team are useless. Buyers beware!
Purchased in October 2021 for $68,000.00.

love our nissan patrol
Purchased a new Patrol 6 months ago to pull our 2.8 ton van. Our old tow vehicle, a trusty turbo diesel Landcruiser which had been great but getting a bit long in the tooth. Did extensive research re the new cruiser and the patrol. The cruiser with the same equipment was $30000 more than the patrol. Have now covered 7000ks and unable to fault the patrol. Only down side is the foot operated park brake. Fuel use is better than the cruiser diesel. (Averaging 19.6/100lt towing the van compared with 22 with the cruiser). Great to drive around town. I am a lead foot and love the get up and go at the lights from a 2.8 ton rig.
Purchased in August 2021 for $76,000.00.

Stunning car in terms of performance, capabilities and features
I was looking at Landcruisers but decided to also test drive the new Patrol. The space and layout was better and the financial decision made sense. At around $15,000 less than a Landcruiser it had everything like tri zone climate control, 8 seats, 7 speed auto, 360 degree birds eye cameras, rear diff lock, HBMC suspension, leather, tyre pressure sensors, GPS navigation and handsfree voice dialling and GPS control. The power is amazing and the fuel economy is significantly improved in the series 4.
Purchased in May 2021.

Patrol 5.6 V8 Petrol Fabulous for all driving conditions.
Bought Patrol 2018. Just drove it to Kakadu and Litchfield from Adelaide towing 3.5 ton 25ft caravan. Wow what can I say. Just pulled the van no probs with fabulous V8 power when passing. Averaged 20 litres/100kms when towing. So quiet on petrol and just so comfortable and roomy.
When 4WD driving drove so smooth over gravel and ruts and through creeks without any difficulty.
Really love having the Patrol and recommend it to anyone thinking of changing to one. You won’t be disappointed I can guarantee that.

Best 4x4 on the market hands down!
Amazingly comfortable, can fit 7 adults easily.
Power!! Need I say more?
Fuel economy, 10L/100 highway. 20L/100 towing 3.5T
Hands down the best 7 seat true 4x4 on the market. My only regret is not buying one sooner.
Do yourself a favour and test drive one, then tell us what colour u ordered.

Great, power, comfort and not as thirsty as many make out
A beautiful driving machine, quiet and smooth it is effortless to drive. Massive and roomy inside the petrol V8 is a pleasure to drive. Value for money is unbelievable and fuel economy i have been getting is around 12.5L/100kms highway and 14.5L/100kms dotting around town. The omly things i miss are heated seats and auto tailgate, which are TiL spec. Price was a whopping $30k lower than comparible spec 200 VX amd no diesel/injector worries.

Prerfection
After owning a Landcrusier, we thought we would try something different, and couldnt be happier with the Nissan Patrol, stylish to look at and the comfort inside is second to none, totally in love with it. Driving in style and comfort is a must, and this car so far ticks all the boxes.

Y62 patrol running costs are pleasantly surprising
I am surprised by the running costs of the V8 Y62 patrol. Previously I had the Y61 Patrol which was a diesel vehicle d my running costs worked out at 84 cents per kilometer. This was calculated by total costs and divided by the number of kilometers travelled. In short around town it got 16.5 ltrs/100km and on the open road 12.5 ltrs/ 100km.
The new Y62 patrol with the V8 engine has worked out at 65 cents per kilometer and it uses 18.5ltrs/100km around town and 10.2 ltres/100km on the open road. You notice a big difference on the open road w...Read more
here you are only doing 1599 rpm at 100km per hour and the vehicle has the power to hold this on hills where the old diesel vehicle dropped back to 2nd gear at 3000 rpm . The ride is much quieter and the handling on the open road is flat and stable, the brakes seem to pull up faster than the old vehicle. The only problem I have had was the satnav device gave intermittent sdcard read error but Nissan to their credit sorted this out after the 3rd visit. I an very happy with this vehicleSimilar opinion? Best 4x4 out!
Beautiful to drive, goes extremely well for a 2.7 tonne car. Also has like 500nm at 1600rpm and then 560nm at 4000rpm - very very good torque curve. Beats most diesel 4x4's in torque alone.
The inside is extremely roomy and comfortable and has absolutely no rattles or squeaks. Dash is a bit out dated as it's been the same for nearly 10 years now, but still nice with GPS and three zone climate control etc.
It's reliability is extraordinary for a modern vehicle, but that's partly due to minimal moving parts and a lower pressure fuel system than...Read more

Never took off like it should because Australians are obsessed with diesel power in a 4wd
We have a 2017 y62 Ti purchase new. These are a very nicely engineered large body on frame 4wd with incredible value for money compared to its only real competitor - the Landcruiser 200 series. These have never taken off or sold in anywhere near the same numbers due to a lack of a diesel drivetrain. However, demand has exceeded supply for the last few years as the true capability and value of these vehicles becomes known. Australias are a fickle breed when it comes to their 4wds: "they must be diesel and have solid front and rear axles otherwis...Read more
e they are hopeless off road and use too much fuel" Pros. -Value for money - base model Ti on road about 20-25k less than Landcruiser VX (most similar in terms of equipment) -Japanese build quality -Incredibly refined and responsive 5.6l v8 engine with 90% max torque from 1600 rpm but power and torque from idle to 6000rpm -Massive space (bigger than Landcruiser) -Fully independent hydraulically linked suspension offers handling and cornering that defy the size of the vehicle -Very quiet at highway speed. No wind noise, very little tyre noise and engine only audible under load (but sounds great under acceleration) -Excellent unmodified off-road performance with standard rear LSD/diff lock. Many tests show more capable than the Landcruiser.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Outstanding vehicle and outstanding value
This is the best 4WD I’ve owned. Previous 4WD was a Y61, the Y62 is better in every way. The ride quality is extremely comfortable and it handles like a car. The vehicle is large but has ample room for 5 adults plus the 3rd would comfortably fit 3 kids.
The motor is outstanding, loads of power and fuel consumption combined of 14.5l/100 which is the same as my Y61. 10l/100 on the freeway at 110km/h.
Being $30,000 cheaper than the problem plagued 200 series Landcruiser is just the icing on the cake.

Best 4wd Nissan ever made, best 4wd on the market
Perfect 4wd. Sooooo much better than having to worry about dusted engines, blown turbos, failing fuel systems etc the list goes on. Don't know why people keep buying the landcruiser 200 they're just overpriced POS. Y62 suspension=better, fuel consumption=same, interior dimensions=better, engine=better everything is just better in the y62. Oh and it's about 20k cheaper. Handling is absolutely the best, reliability is the best, air con is made for the Middle East so very fast to cool down. Only downside is having every 200 owner try to justify their 200 purchase and why they didn't get the y62

Great car until you reach 100 000klms
I purchased my Y62 in August 2014 with 33 000klms on it, the vehicle has 97 000klms on the clock now and the Alternator has disintegrated! with a replacement value of over $2500. I approached Nissan for a goodwill gesture getting a very poor response.
A car of this level should last a lot longer and customer service should be fantastic.
