Xtrail dangerous to Dogs
Rear floor compartment on a 5 mth old Xtrail cant handle two dogs eg Golden Retrievers. The material bends, dislodges and drops the dogs into the hidden compartment. Complained to dealer who advised me he knew exactly what I was talking about as he had fallen into the hidden compartment of another Xtrail the day before. No offer to fix, just note. Totally upset now that my 6yr old dog on her way to be put to sleep fell into the compartment screaming in pain. Its useless and given Nissans incompetence I intend to cut a sheet of chipboard into shape. Clearly used cheap materials to save fuel consumption.
Purchased in July 2021 for $26,990.00.

Simple, reliable, cheap - second time XTrail purchaser
Traded our old XTrail (2013 - last of the old school boxy shaped T31 ones) in for the brand spanking new 2022 equivalent (read: base model). We were just SO happy with everything our old one offered. The space in the old, classic 'boxy' design was the absolute winner for us, as was the weather proof boot lining that came standard. Clearly we weren't buying the XTrail for the 'looks', we were all about the practicality (however, I fell in LOVE with the squareness of the old one and I'm still rather sad to have said goodbye to it).
The new XTrai...Read more
l is much 'prettier' - more rounded and modern (but to me, it just looks like every other car on the road now). Personally, I feel this 'modernisation' of the exterior is at the expense of the old school features I loved the most about the classic XTrails. PROS + Has a reversing camera (unlike our old model) + Comfort & good looks + Fuel economy, insurance and ongoing costs are reasonable CONSPurchased in September 2021 at Nissan Dealers for $25,990.00.

Perfect family car
We have owned this car for about 8 months and I can’t fault it. We have a baby and a toddler and their seats fit comfortably in the back and an adult can sit between them (although it’s a bit cramped). The boot is huge and the telescopic back seat means we can choose between more boot space or more leg room depending on what we’re doing. I struggle to live without the 360 degree cameras in my other car now. A very comfortable and quiet drive and strong enough to tow a trailer. My only small gripe is the GPS system seems to send you on long and strange routes but I just use my iPhone map connected by Bluetooth.
Purchased in November 2021 at Cricks Noosa.

SUV X Trail [The Game Changer]
When I got the approval from the boss [my wife] to go ahead in obtaining a SUV through work I was exited but then thought should something go wrong i'll be blamed for it.
I did initally look at the Mitsubishi Outlander, Honda CRV, Hyundai & Mazda CX5 but was too excited given that the first 3x didn't have much appear as for the Mazda CX 5 was just a bit too pricey for me and my family.
The Nissan X Trail is by far the ideal for someone who is wanting a smaller version of a 4WD with a small family. Handling of the car is great, fuel efficien...Read more
cy i.e. full tank last approx 2 weeks, spacious front and back [however having a baby seat may take up a bit of room at the back], key less start/entry feature is amazing, look of the car is sleek/modern & electronics are appealing to the everyday user. The only thing I would say about the electronics's i.e. blue tooth is that it lags just a bit but what car doesn't have those issues. I did hope for an electronic seat adjustment on the basic but can make do with it being the normal manual set up which is fine.Purchased in August 2021.

Great car and great value for money
It is a very good car. Comfortable seats, good power and reasonable price. It's great for families because you have plenty of room both inside and in the trunk. The only downside is the three year warranty.
The fuel consumption is not perfect but pretty good compared to similar car in the range. I mainly do the city drive an it consumes around 10.5L per 100k.

Love it!
I am loving my 2018 Nissan X-Trail! Everyone that rides in our car comments on how "smooth" it drives. Plenty of room in the boot for our 2 large dogs, adjustable back seats and still lots of leg room in the front. Very happy with our purchase & will be a great family car.

Great car
Performance seems to be good. Corners well and has good pickup for a smallish engine. I am a little disappointed that it is noisier than I expected for a new car. I love he interior as it has plenty of leg room and the fact that the rear seat is higher than other cars is a plus for people seating in the back.So far it has been very reliable and much more economical than our previous commodore.

Good except for a couple of small things.
We bought the car 3 weeks ago, it's got 1200k on it.
I'm impressed with it but it makes a humming or groaning noise and has a slight tremble in the steering wheel when held at Speed. If I set the cruise at 60k (or any low speed) it makes that noise.
I took it back to the dealer for its first 1000k service and complained about it and was told by the service manager that they all do it, don't worry as there is nothing wrong.
The lady at service reception told me, a similar story whereas the salesman who sold it to me said he'd never heard...Read more

Decent and cheap
Bought the ST Auto (FWD). Got a great price (28K driveaway) and does everything the family needs.
The 2.5l donk is just enough, I know this as the previous car was the Dualis+2 CVT, which only has a 2.0 donk.
Ride can be terse at times, and brakes are pretty ordinary in terms of feel and progression, but they have gotten better in time

Love my New XTRAIL.
Traded in a Ford Kuga Diesel for a new xtrail...what a difference,it drives so quiet it’s like its an electric car,the CVT transmission does an awesome job ensuring no power loss,The car has heaps of space for a family,i It’s super comfortable and so easy to drive. The best thing I love is that it feels large and solid for transporting my kids and all their stuff around...The power is strong with its 2.5 litre engine and I have never found it needing more, it climbs Hills with brease on the highways.
It’s Made in Japan, that is what my mechanic told me when looking for a new car,I took his advise and without any regrets love my new xtrail.
Best car I’ve owned ...

Nissan Xtrail 2017
Recently got a new Nissan Xtrail 2017 model and it’s the bomb! Compared to Nissan Dualis 2014, my new Nissan Xtrail can pick up the speed really quick, so you don’t have to worry about that crazy roundabouts whether you will make it or not before that other car hits you, it feels light to drive and the aircon can make hot car cool down quicker than the Dualis.
My previous Dualis and Xtrail both have 7 seats, the only downside is that this Xtrail is smaller and have less space for the extra seats at the back compared to the Dualis. But overall, I am happier with the Xtrail.

Forget the SUV advertising and think more of a 5 door Hatch
I got the chance to drive this vehicle for 5 days and I was looking forward to it, but what can be in perception can be quickly changed in reality.
The vehicle that i chose to drive was the 2wd version of the X Trial and the base model, even though it was the base model, the vehicle came well equiped with all the necessary bling, a 8" monitor screen this and all the electronic gadgets, bluetooth stuff and such.
In the 2wd version of the X trial, this is a misdomena, for this version of the X Trial is living of the naming rights of those mod...Read more

Just to update the noise problem with the new X-trail we bought - the Dealer asked us to come back to them so they could investigate it further.
ving it and looking at it for 2 hours they said they admitted it was noisy but did not know what was wrong and could not fix it. But mabe it would drive out (meaning the noise would go away by itself??) The Service Manager gave me her X-trail to test drive to see if it was any different. As it was a 2 wheel drive I did. It was no diferent - it was just as noisy. We took it back (they are 80 k away) and after them dri... Read more
