Rubbish and rip off

published

99 % Erythritol from GMO corn, and a hint of monk fruit? The same bitter aftertaste like stevia. Expensive and useless to me, going in the rubbish bin. why not just buy 100 % erythritol 3 times cheaper for those who can tolerate it, for me it causes stomach pain.

Excellent sugar substitute

This natural sweetener is just like sugar. It has no after-taste, does not cause tooth decay, and has few calories. It is much better than some stevia sweeteners. However, I have not been able to buy it any more. I find that the Natvia brand of stevia is equally good.

I really really love it!!

Perfect in tea, coffee, pastry and ect. For me, 2 sticks = 1 teaspoon of sugar. I really really love it! No bitterness. Recommended to all my friend!

Great sweetener - best ever

Have been using it in my tea and coffee for weeks now and have just started to bake with it. Fabulous stuff, a bit expensive but worth it. You do need to use more than they say.

Does the job for me

Not quite as sweet as sugar but still ok. I use it as a sugar substitute in my coffee and it works fine, unlike other sweeteners (including Stevia) which didn't suit my palate at all. I guess it's like peanuts, they're fine for the majority but not for some.

Absolute Rubbish

published

I purchased both the tablet and granular Norbu sweetener to try. I can honestly say that they should be sued for false advertising. The word sweetener is a joke, these have no hint of sweetness, leave a very unpleasant after taste and I usually end up with a mild headache after using them. As asked by the company on their label for feedback I wrote them and received NO reply at all. Will definitely NOT buy this rubbish again!!!
Nothing, junk and a rip off
No sweetness at all, bad after taste and produced a mild headache whenever I used it.

Love this stuff!

I, too, have been searching for years for a natural sweetener which actually tasted good. I found that Stevia leaves a bitter aftertaste and is not good for baking. Norbu tastes great, no aftertaste and is great for cooking and baking. I checked with my nutrionist and he gave it the thumbs up. Been using it for 3 months and couldn't be happier.
Natural. Safe. Tastes good. No aftertaste.
A bit pricey but well worth it.

Great awesome taste. New sweetener sensation.

Monk fruit (also known as luo han guo) has been used by the ancient Chinese as a sugar alternative for hundreds of years. We in Australia have finally got this miracle fruit in our supermarkets. Fructose free and low calorie, this stuff is amazing. It works great in teas, coffee and even baking! Love it.
Fruity taste, versatile uses. Great with anything.
Not enough people know about it

Why does it have 99.6g per 100g of ERYTHRITOL in it?
I can't find anywhere that says that ERYTHRITOL is made from monk fruit.
In fact, it seems that ERYTHRITOL is made from corn. Often GMO corn.
If this contains 99.6g per 100g of ERYTHRITOL then it must only contain .4% of monk fruit.
Am I missing something?

Erythritol is a natural product often used in sweetners as a binding and filling agent to produce crystals similar to sugar . It is totally natural and is produced from glucose by fermentation with a yeast but also occurs naturally in corn, pears, soy sauce, wine, sake, watermelon and grapes . Erythritol is the best sugar alternative around and this is supported by numerous scientific studies . It may make some people a little more gassy but that is really the only side~effect ! It contains almost no calories. It has 70% of the sweetness of sugar but It doesn't raise blood sugar or insulin levels or cause tooth decay.
