Great sink, but the original basket waste rubber seals leaked
Bought a 1 & 3/4 bowl top mount Diaz stainless steel sink (DZ111-1TH) for our kitchen renovation. Has been fitted for almost 6 months.
Very happy with the look and fitment of the sink, and so far the stainless steel has held up very well against scratches and regular use, and still looks great.
The basket waste plugs however almost had us regretting our purchase. Like other reviewers on here, the sink waste plugs just wouldn't hold water, and it would slowly drain out, making soaking anything in the sink for any length of time impossible. A...Read more
fter re-seating the rubber seals, flipping and refitting them, nothing worked. Contacted Oliveri support, and after requesting proof of purchase via email sent out 2 new basket waste plugs in the mail (shipped very quickly). The new waste plugs work perfectly, and water no longer drains out of the sink, because when viewed side-by-side the profile of rubber seals on the new plugs are ENTIRELY DIFFERENT to the originals. And the new ones actually work. I'm convinced that the incorrect rubber seals were fitted to my waste plugs originally. My advice is, if you've got leaking Oliveri basket waste plugs like a lot of reviews on here seem to have, it is probably your seals.1 comment

Disappointed marks even after washing
I love the look of the Oliveri sink, they are sleak with clean lines so I didn't care about the reviews I read about leaving marks... They aren't made like our parents sinks. They've taken hundreds of washes and still the sink is shiny. The oliveri sinks are dull and leave water marks, dish and plate rings. Water spots and scratches. Sinks shouldn't need Gumption. Sinks should get a quick wipe down and they look as good as new but these sinks no matter what you use will look grotty and unclean.

Don’t waste your money
Had the sink for three months it looks terrible with marks all over it. Even leaving a plate on it wet will stain it. Contacted customer care and they said marks and scratches are not covered under warranty. I was told to fill sinks up with water and add dishwasher tablet this has made the sinks worse. I will be taking this further!!
I would not be purchasing any products off them

Marks & Scratches After 6 Days of Install
Our new sink was installed 6 days ago we spent a lot of money on this sink and attachments, the scratching after 6 days is really bad. Sent email to T2 Services, btw is a third party to Oliveri to handle complaints, poor response from just an Admin Assistant, how does the manufacturer receive feedback on their products. Next time it will be a $80 Bunning sink at least they have their product right and over a proper warranty response

Marks, scratches and wearing
This sink sustains marks from washing up fry pan or wok. It always looks grubby and is wearing on the edge. Have been advised to soak overnight when necessary with a dishwashing tablet - that would be required every day!!!! Very disappointed that such an expensive sink is such high maintenance, looks terrible and quality is doubtful.

What has happened to the quality of Oliveri
I bought an oliveri sink 18 years ago and thought it was such a beautiful piece of work and knew that would always be the sink I use for any further renovations in a kitchen.
18 years on, different house, am renovating kitchen now, put the oliveri sink in, within three days I have marks in the sink and around it. I read as advice to a lady to use gumption, isnt gumption and abrasive cream, which you advise against in your care instructions.
This is very disappointing and I feel let down by your company.

Mouldy chopping board
We renovated our kitchen and put in an Oliveri sink 12 months ago. The chopping board [which we do not use] is not of good quality and for some reason gets mouldy!! [have photos] We have so far had two replacements and both times mould developed on the board. Warranty department was not helpful and seemed to allocate blame to me. Would not purchase again.

Reasonably Happy except for the Chopping Board......
Had this sink installed into our new kitchen around 2 years ago and have been happy with it ever since.... Yes it did seem to scratch a little easy but figured that it was being used so im not overly concerned about that issue to be honest.
The reason im only writing this now is that I stumbled on these reviews in the process of looking at purchasing 6 sinks for some townhouses that are being built and was going to go with this sink again.
The Chopping Board was my pain point due to not long after using it, it started to warp and eventually cra...Read more

Oliveri SN1064 Sonetto Double Bowl Topmount Sink
Purchased for a kitchen refurb. So what I have done is added some images as pictures spek louder than words. At this point the sink has had the water turned on and then turned off and the sink is as the water dried the next day and the strainer after I cleaned it with windex (as suggested by oliveri).
So then after sending them images they gave a copy paste answer here do this

Great size, doesn't drain well
I love the size, shape and look of my SB35SS. Despite the reviews saying they were difficult to drain and clean in the corners, I thought it couldn't be that bad. But it is quite annoying. A little more fall and a more effective filter/plug system would make this sink excellent. You definitely need a pull out spout on your tap to clean it and it takes a lot of water.
I have surprised myself at how much I use the included accessories. Again the draining rack could use more fall, but the we use the sink racks regularly.

It's the sink that keeps on giving you grief
If you're looking to increasing your water usage tenfold, then this is the sink for you! Cleverly designed with shotty basket waste plugs, your brand new sink will leak at a variable rate while you're using it requiring you to refill the water to wash one dish. Highly recommended if you like frustration and watching your money go down the drain.

Clearly we have not met your expectations. If it is any conciliation, scratching of stainless steel appears worse when a sink is new and lessens over time as a sink develops a more uniform finish with regular use.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

If the issues with your Monet sink relate to scratching, then unfortunately this is not covered by our warranty – our Australian made sinks are made from 304 grade, 18/10 Stainless Steel which complies with Australian Standards for Kitchen Sinks. This type of stainless steel is used for its excellent hygiene standards and durability, however by the nature of the material, all stainless steel is susceptible to some surface scratching. We recommend stainless steel polishing creams, as they can help to make existing scratches less noticeable. If you feel the condition of your sink is a result of a manufacturing fault or another issue, please can you send photos with your contact details to [email protected] and we will strive to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Dissapointing
Recently moved in a brand new house, we purchased a Mone MO70U Oliveri sink, the sink already looks like it is 20 years old, it has scratches and a dent. A good quality stainless steel sink should take years of daily use without needing much care.
It is an understatement when I say I am disappointed. Message to Oliveri stop making excuses that stainless steel scratches we all know this and stop insulting our intelligence, stop making cheap sinks .8mm thick and maybe they will not scratch as easily.

Questions & Answers
Mixy P.asked
We moved into a new home approximately 6 months ago. We have the Santorini granite sinks in both the kitchen (double undermount) and laundry (single). I washed a fish tank out in the laundry today and surprisingly there are scratches on the sink from the edge of the fish tank. I can’t believe it! The laundry one is rarely used and the kitchen one is used all the time and not one scratch. Could the laundry one be faulty? Any way of getting these scratches out? If they scratch so easily, I’m worried about what the sink will look like in a few years time. Help please.

Hi Mixy,
We suggest trying to buff out the marks on the sink using warm soapy water and the green part of a sponge.
However, if this doesn't work please get in touch with our Australian customer service team at [email protected] and they will work to solve the issue.
Thank you,
Oliveri
Thanks for your prompt response. I don’t think they will come out with a sponge but will try. Thanks heaps.

Hi
I'm thinking of purchasing the Santorini 1 and 3/4 granite sink
I 'm wondering if anyone has installed an insinkerator on one of these granite sinks? and if so, have you had any problems. I have been told that with some of the sink brands installing an insinkerator may breach warranty.
1 answer
Julia W.Oliveri
Hi Buggy,
Waste disposal units can be fitted into our granite sinks. However, faulty or damaged waste disposal units can cause vibration, which may lead to sink damage and will void the warranty.
Thanks,
Oliveri
Becasked
How likely is the colour of the spectra gunmetal to scratch off & stainless colour appear through?
1 answer
Julia W.Oliveri
Hi Bec,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Our Spectra sinks are coloured with using a PVD coating method, which is very durable to everyday wear and tear. The stainless steel is very unlikely to show through unless a deep gouge is made in the sink.
