Hi Gerd, you'll need to check the price with Froothie - I got mine on sale some months ago.
There's a central auger that squashes the fruit or vegetables inside the strainer at 45 rpm (I think I've remembered that correctly).
The juice is then expelled into one jug, and the pulp to another. You can always freeze the pulp to use later in soups, stews, or stock, if you want to - I do that a lot in winter, not so much in summer. I hope this is helpful to you...It's a great juicer, very strong and very quiet.

Hi Gerd, The Optimum 600M Cold Press Juicer, which is our newest Cold Press Juicer, extracts considerably more juice compared to the traditional juicers. Its low speed of 40-45 RPM reduces the loss of nutrients caused by oxidation and increases nutrient absorption. Nobody likes pulp and residue, so we’ve cut the strainer out of the equation. With our built-in straining design, the auger handles the dirty job – clean up just became so much easier! The Optimum 600M is now on sale and is $294. Kindly note the discounted prices will increase once the limited sale is over. https://www.froothie.com.au/optimum-600-slow-juicer
There is also the new and upcoming H3000 that has truly incredible features: Pulp control mechanism, more powerful motor, better juice yield, portable vacuum cups and also the world’s first warming function (for nut milks and baby food)! The Optimum H3000 is $899 https://www.froothie.com.au/optimum-h3000
