Optimum 600

Have had this juicer for a couple of months now, and it was producing beautifully smooth juice up until a week ago. It now comes out quite textured and pulpy. I have not made any changes in my juicing routine and use the same fruits and vegetables everyday. Can this be solved?

Hello do you have a juicer for wheatgrass?

Hello The Woz,

definitely we do :)

Where the H3000 2nd Gen has the advantages it:

1. It has the wider chute so you can juice bigger fruits without cutting (Like whole apples)

2. It has the vacuum function which basically means you can store your fresh juice and it'll keep fresh for longer. (It's quite a noticeable difference actually)

You can see a bit more about vacuum sealing the juice in our article here about the VAC2 Blender. It also uses vacuum sealing for the juices and smoothies:

https://smarterfitter.com/froothie-optimum-vac2-air-vacuum-blender-review/

3. It has a built-in warming function for things like baby food.

4. It also has pulp control, so you can decide how you like your juice :)

Here are some videos where you can see the H3000 2nd Gen in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTb7_4ZZ7dE&list=PL1dicojIF63peEIOIbhzdY0UmijHkcwiN

Where the 600M wins in:

1. It's more compact, so easier to have on your kitchen bench

2. It's better for juicing leafy greens and celery

So it really depends on what you're looking to use it for :)

I hope this helps!

3. The 600M actually yields more juice, about 10%-20% more than the major brands on the market, including centrifugal.

Here is the 600M in action: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1dicojIF63p2u7kSit4yM-LOo_e_VJti

It's also a few $ cheaper!

Here is a detailed overview about the specifications:

600M: 40-45 rpm, 200 watts, 3.8 x 4.8cm chute size, 34 x 17 x 36.5 cm (LxHxW), weight: 3,56kg

600Pro: 70 rpm, 300 watts, 7.6cm chute size, 40cm x 40cm x 21cm (HxLxW), weight: 3.5kg

No matter which juicer you choose they are both amazing juicers :)

And don’t forget we offer an unconditional 30-day money-back-guarantee

I hope this helps :) If there's anything else I can help out with please let me know!

Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hello Suzanne, thanks for your interest :) You will definitely be able to juice celery with the Optimum 600M :) Its low speed of 40-45 RPM reduces the loss of nutrients caused by oxidation and increases nutrient absorption. With our built-in straining design cleaning is also much easier. The 600M also yields 10%-20% more juice than all the major brands on the market, including centrifugal.
We also offer a 30 day money back guarantee :)

Eva
Eva

Hello Suzanne, you can juice celery, but my experience is that it comes out very stringy and then the juicer is also hard to clean. For me, the best things to juice are carrots, beets, apples and fruit/veggies with that kind of consistency. It is not noisy -- much quieter than one of its centrifugal Optimum cousins that we have had for the last seven years (I don't have the model number right now.)

Hi Barry, yes exactly the blank strainer is used for sorbet or baby food for example.

For Ice cream/Sorbet, just make sure the fruit is semi-frozen for the best outcome! I recommend thawing them for about 20 minutes before juicing. (use the blank plate): https://youtu.be/cUqzRlMQL6w,https://youtu.be/W-fL8i8Pryo

Can you please tell me if i can juice a whole orange unpeeled (or cut in half if too big)? If it can be done : will the juice taste excellent or will it be have a bit of peel taste in it? Is there a shop selling the 600 M in Wollongong at your advertised discounted price?

You can definitely put the skin in, I wouldnt put half an orange though, quarters would be more ideal however you do get a more tangy taste from the skin flavours. Personally, I dont like it but you might so give it a try. I could be wrong but I think you can only order this juicer from Froothie.com.au?

Optimum Appliances
Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hey Marisa, thank you for your questions :) We do suggest peeling citrus fruits, such as lemon and oranges, as the peel has quite a bitter taste. When juiced with the peels this bitter taste will transfer to the juice.
Regarding the Optimum 600M you can buy that directly at our office in Bayswater, you can order on froothie.com.au, Amazon, Ebay or Catch.

Hope that helps :) Let me know in case you have any additional questions.

Our optimum 600 has just stopped, and would not go again. I have found that there is NO FUSE in it!! The wire end plates in the fuse holder have just been pushed against each other all this time. Jiggiling the machine used to make it go again, and I just thought the cutout switch was a bit " dicky". But this time it just refused to go again.
Yes I have dismantled it all, and found this issue.
What fuse is required please?

You will probably be buying the 600M not the 600. Everything has to be cut small. I sent mine back. I think a lot of buyers may be mixing up the Optimum 600 with the Optimum 600M. The photo on product reviews is the small 600m where as most of the comments are for the 600. I felt totally tricked.

JILLIAN

I found the 600M is NOT suitable for Celery Juice & sent it back for a refund which Froothie were very good about. I didn’t receive a mandolin with time, so sorry I can’t that query. Google different brands & you’ll find horizontal augers do a better job than vertical augers with celery juice. Oscar looks the most impressive, and a much quieter running machine than Optimum.

Has anyone compared this to the Mod cold press juicer? advantages/disadvantages?

5 answers
Optimum Appliances
Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hey John, we made a comparison video with the Mod juicer which we will be posting soon on our YouTube channel

In brief, the 600M had less pulp and more juice compared to the Mod Juicer (and all other juicers on the market)

Regarding the quality of Mod, the company has only been selling juicers for about 2 years and only in Australia so we will have to wait and see if they will be around to cover the warranty the offer. We have seen many brands come and go in Australia over the last few years. Optimum has been selling blenders and juicers in Australia (we're an Australian brand :-) ) and over 30 countries for over 7 years :-)

Hope this helps!

Optimum 600

what is the blank strainer used for that comes with the Optimum 600

1 answer
Optimum Appliances
Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hey Megan!

The Blank Strainer is used:

For Ice cream/Sorbet, just make sure the fruit is semi-frozen for the best outcome! I recommend thawing them for about 20 minutes before juicing.

Here's a mango sorbet example :)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUqzRlMQL6w&t=4s

For Nut Butters, the best outcome is to soak them overnight or roast them prior to juicing :) Especially if you don't want to add any oil. I would definitely recommend coconut oil or your choice of oil if you're using raw nuts without activating them (or soaking them) overnight.
However, my tastiest outcome is when I use roasted nuts :)

Baby food is a breeze with the blank strainer.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NC9vLVsG6M
Here is a great video for that. The 600M doesn't have the rotating basket so it makes things easier :)

Just keep in mind using the blank strainer means it all comes out what would normally be the 'pulp' chute.
Make sure that rubber plug is fully sealed :)

Let us know how you go Megan!
If you need any more tips get in touch :)
