Which of your vortex blenders have removable blades? I'm really fussy about cleaning properly which is why I never considered a Vitamix.

Hey Cheryl, you can remove the blades from the jug on all our blenders except for the Evolve. However, the Evolve has an automatic cleaning function so you won't have to remove the blades at all for proper cleaning. Have a look here: https://youtu.be/4ql5cMs6zAM

Hope that helps :)

There seems to be a discrepancy about the warranty? You advertise a lifetime warranty and yet in your comparison, it says 5 or max 10-year warranty. Furthermore, does the warranty cover all parts and repair costs, and is it lifetime or 10 years?

Hello there, our High Speed Vortex Blenders can definitely be used to mince meat and chop onions (with or without water), they produce a rough chop rather than a stylized chop. They can also be used to grind wheat, oats, rice and more into flour.

Camilla... the Black Friday price is a regular price for these guys. The sale will finish and they will start that little red timer again and have the same price. So, no need to rush to make your decision. Their sale tactic is a bit of a scam. It just continues and continues at that same price. They put the timer there to trick people into buying now as they are made to believe that the price will go up after the timer ends.

Hah Ok thanks I was worried about that I might go Vitamix, Thank you.

Optimum Appliances
Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

It's a local brand, the products are developed in Australia, we are based in Melbourne.
The manufacturing is done in our factory in China like all other brands in the industry.
Much like Vitamix, who proclaim their production is solely in the US, it is predominantly in China.

However, I would also like to add that we have all the certifications and perform quality control on all shipments.

Our manufacturing is 100% ethical and our brand is far from 100% Chinese. Aspects of manufacturing which is mainly assembly is in China however much of our parts and development are not.

However China has made leaps and bounds and has become a quality and reputable source of manufacturing. We ensure all our manufacturing is ethical and all products undergo a comprehensive quality review.
You can read more about the quality standards here:
http://www.optimumappliances.com/standarts#quality

All our appliances also meet the Australia, European and USA compliances' relevant :)

I apologize for the previous response, it was from a bot we're testing to help us streamline our customer service.
It definitely didn't work according to plan so I do sincerely apologize.

Let me know if there's anything else I can clarify or if you would prefer to jump on a call give us a buzz on 1300 309 900 :)

Hi. Is this machine made in Australia or China.? it's come with the glass jug or plastic jug.?

2 answers
Optimum Appliances
Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hi Hoang!

Due to the high speed of the blades and the powerful motor, glass is an unsafe option for high speed blenders like Vitamix and Optimum. If a spoon, or other utensil, were to be accidentally dropped in or left in the container during processing, the glass container could shatter or explode and cause serious injury. Glass jugs are usually only available with weaker less-expensive blenders, and high speed blenders cannot be approved for sale in Australia with a glass jug.

All Optimum jugs are made of high-quality commercial-grade Eastman Tritan copolyester material (BPA Free), and are virtually unbreakable. All jugs are heat proof, approved for health and safety by the US Food & Drug Administration, CE, Underwriters Laboratory and the European Laboratory Commission.

The Optimum jugs are very durable and will not break, great example in this video with someone slamming the jug with a hammer numerous times:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aX6Dl-Y8_ok

I hope that helps clear it up :)

Hello. I have my brand new blender Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) since Sept-2018 and have been advised NOT to use my blender until I receive the replacement package (refer to ticket # 639251). Just less than 3 months of use and I can no longer use the blender; not a good experience. Six days ago I was informed the replacement parts has arrived at the warehouse, however I still have not receive confirmation or the status of the replacement package. I have been very patience and trying my best to understand the unforeseen circumstances but Athena Solutions Team are not responding to my follow up emails for days now. Could you please help with this urgently? If you are not able to help and Athena Solutions Team continue to ignore my follow up emails or won't provide an update, could you please process a full refund back to me? Hope to hear from you soon.

Finally received a reply from Athena Solutions Team, after posting this question here. They still can't provide me a confirmation when I can receive the replacement package as they actually don't have all the replacement parts. So far this blender of mine gave us an extremely short (useful) lifespan, 61 days to be exact as the blender arrived on 10-Sept-2018 and malfunction presented on 09-Nov-2018. Will I get to resume the use of this blender (with confident) before Christmas this year 2018?

Is the 9200a more Power than the 9400?

1 answer
Optimum Appliances
Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hello Besure, better late than never :)

The Optimum 9200A has 2611 Watts and the Optimum 9400 has 2400 Watts

Here is a detailed comparison between the 2 models:
The Optimum 9200A 2nd gen and the 9400 Vortex blenders are our two of our most preferred and powerful blenders.

According to Product Review Australia, 2018:

The 9200A is the #1 Best Rated Blender in Australia

/p/optimum-9200.html

The 9400 is the #3 Best Rated Blender in Australia

/p/optimum-9400.html

Both blenders can easily make:

Nut Butters
Coconuts into coconut flakes/coconut butter
Ice Creams
Hot Soups
Nut milks
Flours
Dips
Sauces
Kneading and more.
They are designed to last and outperform other blenders.

Here's a great comparison to Vitamix: http://www.froothie.com/optimum-vs-vitamix-vs-blendtec-comparison-review/

The Optimum 9200A – 2nd Generation also comes with an optional 10-Year warranty, and is a commercial-grade Vortex blender, therefore will last you many years without any issues.

The Optimum 9400 is also manufactured using the same high-quality durable parts.

The main difference is functionality:

Dial (9400) vs. Buttons (9200A)

The Dial allows for more finite control, while the buttons provide automatic timer functions which is great for smoothies and juices on the go.

The 6-blade assembly of both models is longer than any other blender, allowing for superior chopping, slicing and grinding capabilities perfect for domestic users.

The timer function of the 9200A – 2nd Generation is another great feature for busy users!

Below are some independent reviews of the Optimum 9200A and 9400:

It is good for milling in small quantities due to the narrow base. I have made coconut flour and almond meal using the 9200A. Note that if it is left on for too long, there is a chance that one might get almond butter due to the high power of the blender.

Optimum Appliances
Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hello Mah, thank you for your enquiry. All our Optimum blenders can easily make any flour you like. You can check our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/FroothieTV for some recipe ideas. As Jel mentions, if you let it run too long while blending nuts, it will turn into butters which are also delicious! We hope this helps :)

Looking to replace my Nutri Ninja which came with a food processor bowl and dough hook for making batters. I will be looking to performs tasks like making smoothies, milling grains into flours, and mixing batters like cake/cookies/pancake/bread. I am not too concerned about the ability to make good smoothies and flours, but can the Optimum 9200A do an efficient job when it comes to incorporating batters?

2 answers
Meena shah
Meena shah

I am a hobby cake decorator and I would suggest not to use this blender for cake batters. U could use to mix the wet ingredients with a mixer (hand or stand) but not a vortex blender like this, as it will easily over, mix your ingredients in seconds, which will affect the end result of your bakes. Never mix the dry ingredients into wet at this speed. Your cake with be ruined. I learned this from a professional cake decorator. Always fold in your dry ingredients with a spatula gently. I would suggest you invest in a stand mixer like kenwood chef or a kitchen aid. You will never look back if you are into baking. Makes life so much easier. I hope that helps.

which one is better - 9400 or 9200A?

1 answer
Optimum Appliances
Mario N.Optimum Appliances

Hello Citra,

Both the 9200A 2nd Generation and the 9400 vortex blenders are commercial grade high speed blenders and can be used domestically or commercially in cafes/restaurants.

The Optimum 9400 is identical to the Optimum 9200A, manufactured using the same high-quality durable parts. The main difference is functionality: dial (9400) vs. buttons (9200). The benefits of the dial are more control, and the benefit of the buttons is the automatic timer function which is great for smoothies and juices on the go.

The 9200A model is slightly faster in terms of blade speed and power than the 9400 model.
Both models are perfect for making smoothies, juices, nut butters, hot soups, ice creams, salsas, dips

Hi, I own a blendtec for 11 yrs and I went through 4 jars but the motor is still good. I am thinking getting a Vitamix as I've been hearing good things about them. This leads me here as Foothie are comparable to Vitamix and currently promoting lifetime warranty. Can somebody explain to me what's lifetime warranty really means without posting a link to a pdf? I've look at the pdf, it said 12 months socket and blade, that means only the motor is covered for the life? but jars/blade is 1 yr? And what's all these about power from solar is not cover, and wear and tear is not cover? I don't get it, how's wear and tear not covered if it's under the warranty period. So it's really only part of the product are cover under "lifetime" warranty? I know blendtec covers full a to z withouth question ask for their 8 yrs.

1 answer
Optimum Appliances
Athena Solutions Pty LtdOptimum Appliances

Hello Kevin,
The Lifetime warranty is a promotion that we are currently running on our US website www.froothie.com for deliveries only in the USA. The usual time period for the domestic warranty is 5 years. During the promotion the 5-year warranty is extended to a lifetime warranty. This means that the warranty terms covered in the 5-year warranty remain the same, however they do not expire after 5 years. Warranty covers, such as the bearings which are covered for 12 months as per our terms and conditions, will not change with this promotion.

Wear and tear is any cosmetic damage that would not affect the performance of the blender and it is limited to the jug.

To take advantage of this promotion, please select “Domestic Lifetime” when you place your order online, as this will not require you to pay any additional amount

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact our 24 x 7 support team at www.froothiesupport.com and we will be happy to assist you further. :)

I was wondering if the optimum 9200 is particularly loud? I know that all blenders are noisy however a couple years back I purchased a blender which was incredibly, incredibly noisy, even my friend who thought I was exaggerating was shocked at how loud it was, so I was wondering if this one is loud compared to normal standard?

3 answers
Karen5555
Karen5555

I would say it is loud but I think it is because of the speed as well as it being plastic and the ability to mill food that's quite hard. So the food particles are hitting the plastic at high speeds making the loudness. I can only compare it to a standard glass jar blender that I had before which I didn't use to mill/grind dry stuff. But it is loud and will startle family members in the beginning!

Meena shah
Meena shah

Yes It is loud as its a high speed blender and that is expected but I don't find it incredibly noisy at all. It's only becomes uncomfortably noisy when there is not enough food in it to blend and the food is not touching the blades and they make noise. Otherwise it's fine to me.

Optimum Appliances
Mario N.Optimum Appliances

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your query,

The noise level of the Optimum 9200A is similar and in line to most leading brands. It surely fits within the normal standard noise of a high speed blender
For comparison the noise level of the Optimum 9200A is a minimal 80-90 decibels when blending. We do acknowledge that the noise level in some other blenders could be deafening
