Great network coverage. No dropouts. Data download speeds very good. Had a problem accessing mobile data. Customer service was excellent & had it fixed quickly. I have told alot of people about OVO's fantastic prepaid mobile plans. $14.95 a month for unlimited calls & texts & 4gb of data, very happy.

Cheap pre-paid mobile provider.
I've been with OVO for 3 years now but for the past 3 weeks, we can't make calls. Apparently is due to the high volume of people suddenly (COVID-19) using the Optus network.

unusable speeds & constant dropouts. Contacted customer support but they were completely incompetent & palmed off any accountability over to optus saying its an Optus issue and theres no ETA for resolution.

Good range of products at good price. I now have several mobiles and my mobile broadband with Ovo and it was easy to change over from another provider. Customer service helped and no long wait to get through. Have had a couple of dropouts while streaming broadband during peak periods but speed is sufficient to stream movies. Would definitely recommend.

Been with Ovo for nearly 2 years and never again. Raised multiple issues with dropouts, unusable speed and their support centre were useless / kept saying its an Optus issue in my location - useless go elsewhere.

Have tried to activate new Ovo sim and Telstra have cut our service but Optus apparently isnt connecting service with Ovo now. Every time I ring I just get told its been escalated with Optus. Have been waiting a week so far.

I have been with Ovo for over a year and it is the best value phone plan I have ever hadT I was always fearful of not being with Telstra but I now realise that I have been ripped off to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years. Great staff who are easy to deal with and are locally based in Australia.

From 80gb at the start to 40 gb have to wait till your prepaid time is up before you can recharge for more data .. last recharge with them and im off to vodaphone.. no customer loyality rewards as well pff pathetic..

They said they put customers first - oh Im not sure if thats true.
Customer service can be bad sometimes. When I complain about how I cant use fb to log in to their app, they said /Though, it's not currently an issue we have received any other complaints about/
Why do you have to emphasise that ? Sounds like its my fault to point it out.
Fix your stupid app - keeps asking you to log in every single time.

They've become greedy

I don't know if they've changed management, but they've lost their unique "customer first" approach and now follow the classic Telstra/Optus approach of money-grabbing.

Firstly, they removed 'anytime recharge', forcing people to buy expensive data top-ups instead of recharging their plan early.

Secondly, they've just removed their 'data-free streaming', instead replacing it with an obscure 'data rewards based on how much of your data you use up on watching our (no longer data-free) content.

All of this, mind you, because their "fans requested these changes".

Was incredible, now I'm switching

Ovo was absolutely amazing, it's plan offered 80gb a month of Data for 40 dollars plus unlimited calls and texts, as well as the ability to recharge anytime. However, they have no changed not only to half what they used to provide, but no longer allow you to recharge anytime, instead you have to pay absolutely unreasonable rates (35 dollars for 10gb) to top up if you are out of data before your plan is done.
Just a month ago I couldn't have recommended them more, now I can't at all.

They doubled my data from 40GB to 80GB for the same price which was good as I didn`t have to worry about exceeding my data limit.Then they decided to cut it back to the 40GB again.I suppose that after they sucked in enough new customers they decided to cut back again.I will not be renewing my plan with OVO.

Best mobile plan for cheap. U get 10gb of data for $20 “what a bargain”. Other mobile plans are 10gb for $30 and they do the same thing. Ovo is worth it. I’ve had ovo for 2 months now, I’ve had the 2gb plan for $9.95 a month. Ovo is worth a try. The app tells you when you have used half of your data.

Why has my speed being slowed down to a ridiculously slow speed the last 3days....And it’s not congestion or Covid as I have my phone on OVO also and it’s speed is still the same.......

Can’t even play Xbox now....I pay $80 a month for 4G 250gb and up until 3 days ago was reasonably happy with it.....

Speed tests are approx 3mbps or less downloads and 12mbps or higher upload which is INSANE

My phone is still doing 30mbps+ or higher with the same upload as my data sim.

Please stop slowing my speed ASAP or I will go elsewhere.....it’s almost like I’ve been slowed down for the EASTER long weekend
