Literally a life saver!
The Owlet has saved our family from many sleepless nights after purchasing one for our second child after we lost our first child in his sleep at 21 month old. I rely on this device every night and it has saved a hospital stay after alarming us to low oxygen levels one night when our daughter came down suddenly with pneumonia. We are currently looking into another for our newborn for further peace of mind. Great product and very helpful and a quick replacement received when we had an issue.
Purchased in August 2021 for $495.00.

Life saver
I bought an Owlet for my second and I am so thankful I did as my son had chronic sleep apnea. It saved his life more than once.
It was easy to set up, I did find when he was a newborn it would lose connection alot which was annoying. The socks however wear down and break easy and I have needed to have my monitor replaced twice as it wouldn't change angmore.
I would reccomend it despite the small issues.
Purchased in October 2021 at Owlet for $500.00.

so Disappointed
First 6 months were great. Couldn’t fault this product. And then you guys seem to do some big update to the app and it’s never worked since. If it’s not a red alarm it’s yellow, if it’s not yellow it’s a blue alarm going off every night giving you a heart attack at 3am / 4am only to find out tour baby is fine, it’s just another false alarm. We have the camera too which since the app update continuously drops out. For the past 48 hours we haven’t been able to use it at all. The sock battery is terrible. I put it on at 630pm tonight and by 930pm ...Read more
the blue light kept going off and it’s down to 31% ... so tonight I don’t have a sock monitor to check and I can’t see or hear my baby because the camera is also broken. And to make things worse, the app has fried the speaker in my phone. When using the app it heats up my phone (always has. - And no, no other app has this effect) and has now actually left me with a phone that I can not make or receive calls with. I REALLY hope I don’t have to make an emergency call through the night. I am BEYOND disappointed with these products. I’ve contacted owlet online and get told to call tech support to troubleshoot. I have a useless sock, a useless camera and now a useless phone. Thanks owlet ...Purchased in March 2021.

Peace of Mind
This is perfect product for first time moms who are little anxious about there little one going to sleep and knowing that even though they are fine you have that thought in the back of your mind that something may be wrong. This is the perfect product for you if you are like that.
I was that mum and I was always checking every two seconds just to make sure until a family friend gave me this gift and now it is the biggest must have that I could recommend to anyone in their pregnancies.

Best thing ever!
My 1 week old son spent the past week in hospital, Thank’s to this Owlet it alerted us that he’s heart rate was over 223bpm, Got Ayman to the hospital with in 15 minute’s, Blood test come back that he had a bacteria infection, If it wasn’t for the Owlet I wouldn’t have got Ayman to the hospital till he started showing sign’s that he had infection. We are home now & the Owlet sock is back on he’s foot. Don’t hesitate to buy the Owlet, It’s worth every dollar for peace of mind!

80% SpO2 threshold dangerously low, and mass data collection
Our baby was sent home from NICU on oxygen, so we bought the Owlet so that we could monitor his oxygen levels.
Here are the good things...
The sock has been designed very well and stays put most of the time. For those complaining about it falling off, they’ve obviously never had to keep a medical grade pulse oximeter attached before! The real-time SpO2 and HR readings are excellent and very valuable, especially when you suspect an issue with your baby (unless you are stuck at the “connecting to base...” message). You can also disable the ale...Read more
rts for when the base and sock lose connectivity, or if the sock falls off, which we have done to avoid getting woken up by false alarms. However there are a couple of very serious flaws with this device that you need to be aware of. Firstly, the low SpO2 alarm threshold is set to 80%. I don’t know where the manufacturers of this device got their info from, but 80% is WAY too low and you can’t change it for some silly reason. It should be closer to 90%. All the medical specialists have advised us that ideally it should be 94%+, and not below 89%. Secondly, the app provides a graph of historical data. However it’s useless at determining if your child frequently desaturates (eg because of an apnea episode) because the values seem to be 10 minute averages. It would be a lot more useful if the historical graph was higher resolution. The other issue I have with the Owlet is that all of your child’s vitals are sent and stored on Owlets servers somewhere. I would prefer it if the app communicated directly with the base station rather than Owlet collecting all of this data. They force you to hand over a lot of personal information about you and your child (full name, DOB, race, medical history) for what appear to be no good reason - it makes no difference to the alarm thresholds. Needless to say I have provided junk data. Hopefully their servers never get hacked, imagine your child suffering a life of identity theft.Purchased in November 2021.

Awesome
My baby was put on nighttime oxygen whilst in hospital and now needs it at home. The owlet sock has given us peace of mind that we will be warned if his oxygen goes too low! My only suggestion is that it would be handy to alter the oxygen level alarm as 80 is too low for my bub. 10/10 would recommend.

Best item I have bought for my baby!
Best item I have purchased!!! This Owlet sock provides such peace of mind every night for us, we can check our baby's heart rate & oxygen levels. When our son was 3 months old, the sock alarm alerted us one night which was due to a high heart rate, we took our son to the hospital after seeing it was in the low 200's and after a few hours of monitoring he ended up having salmonella and had to stay in hospital for a week...because of the Owl sock we were able to act fast and the doctors could start the treatment.

Don’t take the risk
Had on for a few nights, inconsistent reading of sleep/awake time on the data history, constant heart rate/oxygen level was good. After purchasing, it is concerning to note that the Electromagnetic Field (EMF) results are far higher (8 V/m) than personal fitness monitors, mobile phones on wifi and on a call are 21v/m. This does not seem healthy at all considering it does not actually track movement from breathing. What does the company have to say about that? Consumers be aware.

Incredible until it broke
Loved the sock until the battery in the sock died at around 13 months, we're unable to charge of use the sock any more and i can't see how to get a replacement from them. To summarise, it was great until it just broke out of the blue with no way to fix it.

Piece of rubbish not peace of mind
Do not buy this product! An expensive piece of garbage that provides zero piece of mind! It continuously goes off at night despite the sock placement being fine. You cant use it when your baby is too tiny because the sock doesnt fit properly and you cant use it as they get older because they wriggle a bit so what is the point? [Content Removed]! Mine is now 5 months and Im yet to have a decent night sleep without false alarms

Many positive reviews, but there have been a dozen false alarms with the sock which has led us to give up with it. The amount of stress it causes when serious alarm bells ring is too much to bear. Many will probably say your doing something wrong, but I believe it to be a software issue and potential bug problem relating to connectivity. We have also had numerous issues connecting the camera. I live in a huge house and the range on the sock is tremendous.

This was amazing. My Baby got put on oxygen in hospital so bringing him home on oxygen was scary. Having the owlet sock helped monitor it. I love my owlet and I recommend it to everyone. The dimmed green light flashing next to my bed stopped me waking my peacefully sleeping baby to check he was definitely still alive for at least the first month. I also love the sleep monitoring function with the new app. My baby wears his monitor every night and most naps and he will until he's too big.

Love it! Tech support is amazing!!
I love the Owlet Sock 2. I recently had issues with the sensor after 8months of everyday use so I called Tech Support who sent me out a new one free of charge.. it is so reassuring that we have support like that after spending so much on the product, which I would do again in a heartbeat.
I found the range from sock to base station is great, it still connects even after being behind 2 sets of closed doors.
Even after the issue with the app connectivity which happened recently I still had peace of mind that the sock and base station were still connected and if anything should happen the base station will still alert me.
Thanks for such a great product!!!

Questions & Answers
NJKasked
Is there a difference between the smart sock 2 and smart sock? Some stores advertise the smart sock 2 but owlet only calls it smart sock..
1 answer
Team O.Owlet
Hi NJK, they should all be the Smart Sock 2. The original Smart Sock phased out many years ago and was never imported into Australia. Kind regards, Owlet Team.
Susan K.asked
When you say suitable from birth, can you please advise what size that is. A couple of reviews make note of the fact the socks do not fit I’m concerned we will have this issue. We have a premi baby, she is little and I want to know that the Owlet will fit her.

Team O.Owlet
Susan K. Babies differ so much one from another. Generally, the three sizes of socks that come with the Smart Sock will cover the first 18 months, or from birth to 25Ibs in weight. The SS2 is not suitable for premature babies, both in terms of the smallest fabric sock not being a good fit as well as the accuracy levels of the pulse oximeter.
Do give us a call if you have more questions, we want to be sure that you're making the right decision for your circumstances. 03 9588 0999.

Hi Susan, I bought this for our baby who was born at 27weeks. When we bought him home he weighed 3.5kg and we have been using the monitor since day one. Hope that helps.
