Questionable practices
Over service and providing dental recommendations which are not needed. Took my x-rays to another dentist for review and what they recommended was incorrect and blatantly just making money at the expense of people

Great dental group
Great dental group. Friendly staff and they cover a range of dental needs. My dentist has been great, always thorough with the dental checks and provides good advice. Highly recommended, branches all over Sydney and Melbourne

Rushed
I made an online appointment for a check and clean. Following this, I rang twice to confirm the appointment. During one of those conversations, I was offered an earlier appointment with another dentist but declined.
The day before the appointment, I received a text message asking if I could come half an hour earlier - no reference to who the sender is. So I write back "Dentist? Yes, OK". I get a reply from a different number saying, "Yes sorry, the dentist. Great, see you then".
I arrived for my appointment and was told I am booked in ...Read more

Extra Charge
Pacific smiles point cook,
Quoted my partner for a root canal and said think about and then ring to make a appointment if you want to go ahead with it. My wife, said okay rang a couple of days later to confirm and make a appointment. They then charged her an extra $20 for an Emergency Booking. My wife said it's not a emergency that they said think about it and then make an appointment. Their answer was sorry but that's the way we have to do it. So I am sorry but we now go to Sanctuary Lakes Family Dentist. Not Happy with Pacific smiles point cook at all.

Good experience
Dr Jan De Villiers was very gentle, professional and thorough. He took x-rays to examine the previous (extensive to me) work to make sure everything was OK. They had a shortage of nurses due to illness, step-in receptionist did great. The charge after BUPA's pathetic contribution was 220, will be back!

Overcharged for first visit when I have major dental with BuPa
My friend had no gap dental checkup and X-ray done at I point cook pacific smiles. He had basic cover while I have major dental from BUPA extras. Based on his feedback I did not check at reception if there will be a gap payment and just went inside to get the checkup done. Once completed I was asked to pay $170.50 for limited examination & x-rays. Ridiculous misleading information on their website where they mention no gap for checkup, cleaning, x-rays. Just got ripped off by $170 hole in my pocket. I asked for a report of my issue and nothing was given.

Timely and Professional
My daughter's tooth broke Friday before a long weekend. They made an appointment for 9:30 Saturday in Tuggeranong. The dentist (Dr Sneha Sutreja) was reassuring and thorough. Just what we needed.

Pacific Smiles Aspley - Gold star service, thank you.
I am always a little apprehensive when visiting the dentist, especially when it's one I have not visited before.
From the moment I walked in the door my apprehension slowly dissipated.
I was greeted with a warm and inviting welcome. When I met the dentist I was made to feel very comfortable and he took the time to make sure that I understood what was going to happen during each step of the procedure.
I am happy to say that I have now had several appointments with the Pacific Smiles Aspley store and have also taken my mother, husband and daughters there.
Gold star service, thank you.

Fantastic dental Experience
I visited this new Mitchelton clinic this morning. As a former Dental Assistant/Practice Manager I have high standards when it comes to dental treatment, especially my own.
Dr Monica was fabulous in her diagnosis of my dental discomfort, and the chairside assisting by her assistant was of a high standard. The surgery was immaculate. Both the dentist and D.A made me feel very relaxed, comfortable and was very gentle. My treatment was also very affordable.
I would highly recommend Pacific Smiles Dental group.
Very happy indeed.

VERY affordable. High quality
I highly reccoment Pacific Smiles in Gungahlin, Canberra. They are VERY affordable and give you an upfront treatment plan and costing. Dr Sharma is very caring, thorough, gentle and talks you through the entire treatment so there are no surprises. The quality of work is VERY high. I went elsewhere previosuly and the front tooth filling kept falling out (4 times in total). I visited Pacific Smiles in Gungahlin and they fixed it once and for all and it was WAY cheaper than what I expected ($140 for two fillings after private health insurance). I reserached where to go thoroughly beforehand and I'm glad I chose to go here. Very happy patient :)

Dr Celeste GILKS, Brookvale
I started seeing Dr Celeste GILKS at Brookvale Pacific Smiles after my dentist of 35 years retired.
Immediately her friendly, calming and approachable manner made my young kids and I feel at ease. Her knowledge base, attention to detail and desire to have no one leave unless the work is perfect is an absolute credit to her and her business.
Over the last 18months I have referred over 20 people to Celeste and those people have referred many more.
Her ability to work with young children which I have 2 of, all the way up to elderly people f...Read more
rom my parents retirement village, and show them compassion, empathy and immediately gain their trust is amazing. I honestly can’t speak more highly of her and her commitment to your organisation. They could genuinely build an entire practice around her and the place would be constantly full. People may initially go to Dentists because of the business name, links to health funds or prices but what keeps them going back is people like Celeste. What makes a business flourish is committed repeat Business and referrals which she has plenty of.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Awful experience
Dentist was condescending and arrogant. Assistant was spoken to like a robot. Assistant did not seem to know that you need suction during a filling procedure. Also after 4 injections of anaesthetic into my mouth I had a pool of numbing sitting at the back of my mouth, until I asked if I could rinse. Dentist took 1 and a 1/2 hours to complete what he said would be 15 mins. Dentist showed no sign of empathy when I squirmed and squinted with pain. I had to ask for the tooth to be smoothed as he had not done it, sat the chair up and when I asked fo...Read more
r the tooth to be smoothed he did not even comment, just reclined chair without a word, sat me up again, and I said it still needed smoothing out, after the second attempt, his annoyance clear, the pain was too much so I said don't bother. He shouted to the receptionist to get him things during the session even though she was 5 metres away and he had an assistant. Door was left open to the public during session. Told receptionist the place was freezing and she said "yes it is"! Not happy at all with the whole episode will never go back! Staff need training and the dentist needs to improve his bedside manner.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
A pleasant experience
I saw Dr Karbasi a very pleasant and professional practitioner. She made the experience almost enjoyable. All other staff I dealt with were also very attentive and caring. All appointments have been attended to on time without fail.

I saw doctor Edward and he was super informative and patient with all my questions. The medical receptionist Kathy was also very informative when I called back the next day to to ask a few questions. She took her time to answer my questions, definitely recommended.

Bad. Dentist injected aesthetic with needle into my mouth without warning.
Basically the dentist injected aesthetic into my mouth without letting me know she was going to it beforehand. All of a sudden i felt a sharp pinch in my mouth and realised it was a needle. I had actually told them I had work about an hour after the appointment also.
After, I asked if it would stop my mouth from moving normally but she said i wouldnt be able to notice any change to my face at all.
At the end she i looked in the mirror and was in shock...
She then lied to me and said it would be 100% gone within an hour too but it was still noticable after 3hrs and my boss sent me home (i am in service so it was too difficult to talk to customers).
So unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend going here

Questions & Answers
Happy Asasked
Why bother to say you are open Sunday for emergencies when there is no dentist there despite your website saying it is available for emergencies? And no appointment was available until Tuesday - how useless is that? Particularly as the patient has dementia and does not understand the concept of waiting in pain to see someone.

I am not a dentist, just a patient. You will have to ring surgery. Note program with velocity expires on 9th march.
