I am finding the recorder is recording double ups. You can't delete the 2nd one. Also when select record single time from the guide it is recording series.
I have used these machines for years, never had so many glitches. Please help.

I've only done it once and from memory all I had to was to re-scan the TV channels and I think set the automatic program timer again for future recordings. Again from memory, none of the existing recordings were lost.

Ian is correct, you won't lose what is already on the hard drive, just any future recordings you have already input.

Our recorder started jumping around slightly recently. We have show we have recorded for our daughter (kids TV) and we edit out the adverts. We noticed about a month ago, that playing these editted shows, it would skip a couple of seconds each side of the edit.
Then tonight, the image froze, the audio continued for a bit, and then then the whole thing locked up.Using the remote, and turning it off, it became stuck in 'Please Wait' and so we reset it at the wall for a minute.
Plugging it back in, it has once again gotten stuck in the 'Please Wait'
Looking for assistance on how to resolve if possible.

Hi I have a Panasonic DMR-BWT955 and it has no sound or picture output what so ever. It seems to be doing everything else ok, recording playing dvd etc but no vision. I have tried several HDMI cables.
It has AV on the units display screen. It has had a week signal pixilating on and off watching TV if we stomped on the floor next to the unit it would clear up.. Any ideas? Rob. After some more time on this problem I have discovered its not the Blue Ray that's the problem its my Panasonic TH-P50VT20A TV, none of the 4 HDMI ports are working...

I have had no problem with this unit until a few weeks ago the unit decided it was no longer going to play purchased blu ray discs, all other discs work including bd-r so I'm wondering why all genuine release blurays have ceased to work in my DMR BWT955gl, genuine release dvds work, bluray recordable discs work, cds work. What happens is the unit goes to read the the gen released movie, displays HIGH CLARITY SOUND strolls across the units display and returns to tv without any messages! Is this a disc drive failure or a HD processor failure? I hope someone can and has had this issue rectified, Cheers.

Unit only plays region 6 discs (Australia) and if you bought the box set overseas they probably will not be region 6 discs.

Thank you. I contacted your service centre and they put me on to Techworks (1300 074 512). I phoned them and they have a service centre in Malaga, WA where I would need to take it for the region code to be changed free of charge as long as I take my receipt with me. Thanks again.

This unit is only a few months old and it's taken it upon itself to start doing everything out of order without any warning, if I could take it back too factory reset it may help but can't even find that.
Surely it has something like that built in to the unit..

Is there a way to stop the unit automatically turning off when the tv turns off. We had a topfield and if tv was off, when we turned it back on, we could rewind the current channel it was on. Can this unit do the same?

It's a Samsung tv. I have the pvr remote talking to the tv no problems. It's just when I press the tv power button, it turns the tv and pvr off. Press it again and it will turn the tv on, not the pvr. I have to press the other power button to turn pvr on.

How do I reset the remote

I'm not exactly sure what your problem is. But if you think there is a problem with the remote, have you tried replacing the batteries? If you have already tried that try removing the batteries for about 30 seconds then refit them and see what happens? Best suggestions that I come up with.

Hi, we’ve just bought. BWT955 and it will only let me series record on certain stations. Is this something I’m doing wrong or is it a difference in broadcaster settings? Appreciate any help here greatly.

I believe the BWT955 will only series record when each new episode is on at the same time each day/week. If an episode is skipped by the TV station or put on at another time I understand you then have to re-program the recorder. A pain I know.

My DMS BTW 995 no longer shows latest releases from SBS on demand due to some encryption / licencing changes @ SBS. is Panasonic resolving the problem? Its causing a significant downgrade the machines advertised capabilities.

I would contact SBS as it's their on demand service that you are having trouble with. Personally I've had no problems with the SBS on demand service with my DMR-BWT955GL so far.
that's interesting Ian, thanks for your quick response. From what SBS says: Due to rights and security restrictions, certain programs are unable to be played on Panasonic PVR/DMRs. because the content, must be encrypted in accordance with licensing agreements, (However, SBS/Panasonic have come to an arrangement on Panasonic TVs from 2013 on though, they can get the full SBS service)
To see if that's the case can you please do a couple of simple tests for me on your version SBS on demand and get back to me in due course?
- Confirm that on your "Catch UP on Last Night" column actually has any programmes listed?
- See if you can get the full series of "On Becoming a God in Central Florida"
That's one of ever increasing list of programmes/movies I can no longer receive. The response I now get is "No Video Could be found, Please try again Later". he changes occurs about mid 2022 and the rate things are disappearing, I soon wont be able to get anything

Are you using a HDMI cable? Can you get sound if you play a DVD? My player has no issues playing either dvd or blueray. Have you checked what version of firmware you have and is there an update to it?

This is my second Panasonic DVD with
hard drive I've purchased and both have had the same problem. My newest is a blueray with a 2tb hard drive. The sound has gone on both of them. What is the problem with them, is it a sound card issue. Thank you Sharon

Hi - Panasonic was able to advise me when I contacted them directly - they said the action was not possible - and following page 72 instructions - this action is not available to record/copy from VHS player to DMR-BWT955GL recorder !! However I can view the the VHS play back on the TV - why is it not possible to copy on to disc ????
