We have a Panasonic DMR-HWT260GN bpught 6 months ago. It worked fine until recently. I can't auto tune in any tv channels at all and clock wont auto tune. When we go through the tv only, the channels work fine which makes me think aerial connection and signal is ok. I have done a factory reset. Can you help please.
Have you checked all the cabling running into the Panasonic, particularly the cabling running into loop in and loop out for antenna?

I get a disc is out of space message even after I deleted all programs. I have re-formatted the drive as per menu.

I purchased a Panasonic HWT260 recorder a couple of months ago and its been going fine until last week when suddenly there was no video output - just a blank screen that does flash up a pixellated mosaic a couple of times. I've powered the unit off completely, checked the firmware is on the latest version and turned the quick start off. No change. I plugged the HDMI into a different TV and the picture comes up fine! Looked at the troubleshooting section of the manual it says ' This phenomenon may occur, depending on the TV setting when 'quick start' is activated. Say it may be prevented by connecting to a different video port on the TV.
What's this all about? My TV only has one HDMI port so that's not an option. How can I stop this happening?
How old is your HDMI cable? You might want to try replacing it. If that doesn’t resolve your issue, try performing a factory reset on your recording device.
P.S. You don't need to spend any more than around $30 for a new HDMI cable.

However, randomly (every two or three days) it will not start: it just shows "Hello" or "Please Wait", which goes on for ever. We have to disconnect the power at the wall socket and reconnect it after about 10 seconds. Once it reboots, it shows "Please wait" for about a minute before going into Standby mode. It will then start and shows the last channel we viewed the previous day.
I have been hoping there will be a software/firmware update to fix the problem but it just keeps on happening. Current F/W is v1.04 Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution or should I send it back for a replacement?
Yep I experienced that problem too immediately after purchasing my device. I resolved that problem by doing a factory reset.

When I am watching a recording on dmr-hwt260 the screen sometimes blanks out and I lose a few seconds. It will happen again and again. I rang Panasonic and the man I spoke to, would not listen, He blamed the HDMI cable, my unit is new and so is the HMDI connection. He insisted I had to try a different cable. So, I have tried another connection, in another TV port. I am betting the problem continues, as all other devices work with the same HDMI cable and TV port but he just would not listen. Next he will blame the antenna and tv station, It is of course never Panasonic's crappy systems.

our dmr-hwt 260 shows constant loading to freeview on the 7 network without connection. all attempts to disconnect fail . all other channel connections work normal. 7 plus user has been registerd but unable to connect, all clues to remedie appreciated. john

Any idea why ABC Iview has stopped working in the past week ( since daylight saving ended of course in Victoria ) on my HWT260? The Iview screen says check the clock but it is on automatic and all the regular TV programs are fine.

I have just auto tuned all TV channels, now I cannot access my recorded programs. No menu, no nothing. It's like it's not sending anything to the TV at all. Help please.

When set to Record it is not recording. The recorded channel shows "no signal" so there is no picture and no recording. I have had the machine for 6 months and this is the 1st problem. Very frustrating as I am missing programs I want to record and watch when convenient. Help please.

We have a Panasonic DMR-HWT260 and a blue timer symbol has appeared on the guide for two series recording programs. How do I remove these blue timers? When a red timer symbol appears, I have no trouble removing it, but I am unable to remove the blue symbol and the program, which we no longer wish to watch, continues to record.

My Panasonic dmrhwt260 has just started showing all channels in black and white not colour transmission. Any clues? Was fine yesterday and nothing has changed with the aerial or antenna connections etc. Unit is only 12 months old.

I have a new DMR-HWT260 Recorder and am having trouble recording subtitles. When I set the recorder subtitles is switched to Auto but when I replay there are no subtitles (even though I know they were included in the program as broadcast.)

How do I install STAN on to my DMR-HWT260?
i cannot help. the panasonic does not do what i want as a PVR. ie either continuous recording and no reverse or reverse with only last 6 hours if turned on! replaced by Beyonwiz.
