Great aesthetics
To be honest, I bought this product mainly because of how its looks will fit into my kitchen. It looks fantastic and matches with the black, silver and white theme. However, apart from that, it's quite an average microwave. It just does that job and is big enough for my needs, which is most important in the end

A good guy so far
What can one say? This thing is big enough and heats quickly and evenly.
It doesn't have a spinning tray so less moving parts and less to clean - good.
I've had it almost a year now and no issues at all. If microwaves were guys then this one would be a good guy.

Easy to use and clean
Relatively fast cooking. Really easy to use with the express buttons to increase cook time in 1-minute and 10-second increments. A breeze to clean with the flatbed feature. Will not turn back from flat bed microwaves! It does produce a low humming sound when running but us quieter than an older microwave we had.

Not heating through
Not happy. Bought about 6 months ago & worked ok to begin with. Now having problems. E,g heating frozen Light & Easy meal of Chicken Parma which has a slab of chicken in it. After the recommended 8 minutes it is cold in the middle of the chicken & sometimes hard. Put it on for another minute, little change. put it on for another 2 minutes & it is hot enough.

Very good!
Very satisfied with this microwave. It's well built and easy to clean for me. It's quite spacious so I can basically cook and heat everything I want to. The price is ok and the microwave is not as loud as my old one. The only thing I don't really like is that there is no turntable, which I am quite used to.

In a Skip after 2 years
A love hate relationship I have with this microwave.
I love the flatbed interior, the sleek look and simple features, the only problem, we’ll make that 2 is that it has failed me twice. The first time it started smoking from the centre and slightly scaled the area. Fortunately it was still under warranty and was replaced.
The second problem was that I kept having to tap the door open button to get it working, the button was faulty and the machine thought the door was open so it would not work until the internal light went out. Unfortunately this was after a year, hence the skip.
Would I recommend it to anyone, NO, would I buy another one YES.
Work that one out.

Perfect Microwave
I bought this microwave from the Good Guys at Castle Hill. It works very well. It can be cleaned up very easy without removing anything. Also it has self cooling off function. Love this product very much! It works stable and everything is great. The price is acceptable less than 200. Highly recommended.

Works well and evenly
We've had this microwave in constant use for about a year. We chose it based on brand quality and capacity.
Being a flat bed oven it means I can fit a larger square or rectangular dish in it.
I was concerned at first that it might not heat evenly, like the ancient original pre-turntable microwaves tended to do, but found that I need not have worried.
It is as quiet as most microwave ovens can be expected to be when sitting in a tower cabinet which tends to act as a resonator anyway.
I don't find it excessively noisy and without a turntable moving around, it is probably quieter than many others.
All in all, I'm very happy with my choice. As a side bonus, the lack of turntable makes it much easier to wipe out moisture.

Love that there's no turntable!
Love that this microwave is well built and not too noisy. The fact that I can open and close it without an excessive clanging noise is also a bonus (something that I checked out before I purchased). I also love that there is no turntable so I can mix and squish esp. defrosting items etc., without breaking the plastic components that hold a typical turntable! (I have broken a plastic lug once or twice before :-/). It's easy to fit a variety of dishes inside and easy to clean - which I love! Can't remember the price exactly but I don't remember ...Read more
it being over the top. I bought it at Harvey's (after being ignored by The Good Guys, Marion Rd) very late on a Saturday arvo after our trusty old Sanyo died. I had a number of questions and was opening and closing all their microwaves, and the salesman was great! The only downside is that you can't just press the 10 sec or minute etc., to add time to what you're already cooking: you have to set a whole new sequence/time.Similar opinion? Disappointed
After having my Panasonic Genius microwave for 30yrs, it still going strong and outliving two Sharps along the way, I had no hesitation in buying this latest model for our unit, but was soon very disappointed. On the Defrost setting it partly cooks the meat turning it grey in an uneven pattern. Manually adjusting power to lowest works better, but then have to guess and manually enter a time as opposed to a weight. The light is very dim and it's impossible to see whether something is boiling over etc. Also the control panel has quite small print making it hard to read, especially when you are over 50 and it is mounted in a dedicated microwave cavity below the kitchen bench.

Great microwave
I am extremely happy with this microwave. So much easier to clean with no turntable. Very stylish and great I can now fit bigger dishes in a microwave as it does not rotate. Highly recommend. I great range of settings and very good price. It also fitted well into my cupboard space

Brilliant
Great microwave, heats evenly. Takes bigger plates even square ones that I couldn't fit in last microwave. Great having no turn table. It is so easy to clean. Has great features and lots of options. Like that it has the cooling after finished. Easy to open. It was easy to get used to the various functions and I haven't found it to be too loud. The beep when its finished is loud which is good especially if you have walked away. Heats way faster than normal microwaves.

Fantastic
We've had this microwave for about 2 months now and absolutely love it. Food is always evenly heated as there is no rotating tray. This is also an advantage as you can fit larger plates and dishes in the tray to be heated. I find it faster and more efficient than a traditional microwave, and it has a range of great, easy to use settings. Definitely a great buy

Microwave
This model is ok but it's not the best microwave I have ever owned.
It' beeps pretty loud when it's finished heating and it can be slightly annoying.
It seems to be pretty sturdy and is easy to open and close etcetera
This is ok but not sure I would buy the same model again

Great first microwave
Fantastic first microwave for those just moving out of home. I really like that there is no revolving plate as this makes it super easy to clean if there is a spill. We find that it is not too loud and was quick and easy to get used to. I feel the the green lit display is the only downside.

Not inpressed
Have to agree with the above. Talked into mine by the lady at the good guys regretted it ever since. Just heated a bowl of pasta from fridge 1st try 2 mins still cold, then another min still cold. Tried 1 more min and it is stone cold in middle and red hot on sides and bottom. would never buy again

Good performance...a lit bit noisy
Overall I love my Panasonic microwave. I choose a flatbed one so it has more capacity compared with the traditional one. The microwave is very powerful and reheat food very fast. The only con is that it is quite noisy after the heating. The cooling off (buzzing) will last for minutes.

Love my new Microwave Inverter
I love the fact that it does not revolve as you can put bigger plates inside the microwave. Cooks rice beautifully except it leaves a lot of steam inside the microwave afterwards and it is very quiet. My only problem is when I accidently press several buttons and it locks itself. This happens twice and I don't even know what I did but managed to clear it. It is sturdy and well-built, easy to plug in but the clock is unnecessary.

Times of the turntables are over!
This flatbed microwave is amazing! My pet hate with microwaves was having to take out the turntable when something over flowed or splattered and then cleaning under it with all the grooves. It took ages and by the time you cleaned up properly your food was cold again! This microwave however has no turntable and is completely flat. Meaning when it over flows and makes a mess I just grab a sponge and wipe it up like I would on a bench top. It's also great for different shapes and size dishes. Easy quick cooking functions including set times and defrost modes.
Overall extremely happy and would never go back to a turntable microwave.

Questions & Answers
Doug F.asked
Hi team, good so far but appears noisy with apparently fewer moving parts than the turntable style. So what is the source of the noise? Just curious!

Panasonic Australia C.Panasonic
Hi Doug, sorry difficult question, could be the fan, the unit running or any other noise.

My NN-SF564W doesn't always start. Once started it works just fine, but getting it to go is tricky. Put in the time, press start, nothing. Put in the time, press start, nothing. Suddenly it says COOLING on the display. I press reset, then the time, start, nothing. Do variations on this theme and presto! It goes. Any help?
