Crap
Do not buy any Panasonic products - waste of time and money! My microwave has H97 error within the warranty - I should not have had this!
They've asked me to pay $70 for the repair - when I paid $330 at Costco! NO GOODWILL with customers at all! I told them to bin the microwave. Not worth your money.
I ain't buying this stupid brand anymore! Better buy non-branded like Anco at KMART.
Purchased in April 2021 at Costco NSW, Marsden Park for A$330.00.

The Panasonic Microwave NN-ST776S is extremely disappointing!
We purchased this Panasonic two weeks ago to replace our previous Panasonic microwave. How disappointed we have been with our new purchase! Being black, it is hard to read the Control Panel without turning the lights on in the kitchen or shining a light on it. But the most frustrating negative feature we discovered after purchasing the microwave, is that unlike the previous Panasonic microwave we had, this model does not have "single second" settings in the Control Panel - yet this is a premium model! So, if you need to heat food for say 15 sec...Read more
onds, you cannot. You have to heat it for (say) 10 seconds or 20 seconds, or set the time for 20 seconds and be required to stand there while it is heating and stop the machine when it gets to 15 seconds.
Purchased in October 2021.

he correct cooking time is selected. In relation to cooking time, we also recommend that you observe the food being cooked to ensure it isn't over cooked, which is part of the reason that the second button was removed. The other was feedback was people would prefer more function buttons rather than the second button.I have never heard such rot that the seconds button was removed to stop food being overcooked! This is an incredulous statement. And very disappointing coming from Panasonic.

Not fit for purpose
The timer/clock is blue and unless you stand right up close to the panel screen you have no idea how long your food has been in there and how much longer it will take. It is annoying, particularly when you move to other tasks in the kitchen-there is no point in trying to glance at the LCD-you have to move right up close to the machine and straight in front at eye level to work out what the timing says. Setting for vegetables on number 7 is particularly difficult too. The new top of the range Panasonic 32 litre stainless steel machine with white...Read more
display and actual push buttons is far superior. I have returned my 44 litre Panasonic microwave today after owning it for nearly 4 months and deciding that I couldn’t live with it. The machine is a dud and not fit for purpose. I’ve seen enough reviews now re the bad blue light panel and it appears to me it is a design fault. The guy at Harvey Norman today was helpful but wouldn’t refund my money. He said I should have returned it within one week of purchase, but I didn’t realise how bad it really was, and the more I used it, the worse it became, and I grew to hate it. By the way, the door never lined up either.Purchased in November 2021 for A$328.00.

The Genius? I think not!
We bought the NN-ST776S model on special from Harvey Norman and have been using it for the past couple of months. It replaces a (Sanyo) microwave that served us remarkably well for the previous 17 years! I would expect this one to be at least as good if not better. Not so... but first, the good news. It's quieter, heats well though not always evenly. It's spacious inside and can accommodate larger dishes which is good. The food texture... well, if you don't use the Sensor Reheat, your food should stay unaltered (see below). Now the bad......Read more
1. Does not have the most used and convenient "quick 30" seconds setting. 2. Panel is so so dim, unless you have a spotlight shining on the panel, you can't read it at all. Very light text. 3. Sensor Reheat is not very 'genius' at all, quite the contrary, it over heats the food. Because it doesn't work, it's one of those useless features as it's far quicker to set your own time, it reheats so much faster. I wouldn't dare Sensor Cook in it seeing how it can't handle the Sensor Reheat efficiently. 4. Very often, the panel is completely unresponsive. I figured out that to get it going again, the Reset/stop button has to be pressed again. This occurs even if the previous cycle has completed and the microwave was not stopped midway through it's previous 'job' and is on regular standby mode. Is this a glitch or has it been designed this way? If the latter, shouldn't it happen every time though? And why would it be designed so? Either way, I'm not impressed that it keeps happening. 5. The TIMER setting is another dud. Believe it or not, you can't use the TIMER and use the microwave at the same time - WHAT? That's so basic, to be able to use both. So the microwave cannot work as a microwave if you're using the Timer. Just bizarre! 6. Turntable does not return (your item) to the original position. Again, my old old microwave had this feature. Just another little thing that matters much. 7. The entire panel shows up fingerprints like WOW! And I'm talking clean fingers touching it. Surely it could have been made finger print resistant so that you don't have to wipe it EVERY single time? 8. Also, this blue light clock/display is nonsense almost impossible to read unless you're inches away or you have a spot light on it; what happened to good old white light which gave a much better contrast. I'm sure I will discover more as time goes by, hopefully some of it will be good news but as things stand, I regret my purchase and will not be looking at Panasonic again unless they drastically change to include better functioning and more practical features. And features that work.Purchased in January 2021 at Harvey Norman for A$393.00.

A great microwave but could be more user friendly
Out seven year old Panasonic 44L inverter mike developed a fault where the turntable started turning when the door was opened. This machine gave us reliable service, even though we flogged it with at least 12 uses each and every day. We love the inverter feature so that more even and controllable cooking is a breeze.
The new model has a couple of improvements, a couple of new design faults and a continuing design annoyance.
The good points -
1) it is quieter than the old one
2) the internal light is brighter so you can see clearly what is ...Read more

Excellent machine !!
Excellent product!! Settings are easily understandably.
The machine is very quiet compared with a different model from a different make.
The interior is white, so you actually can see inside and watch what's cooking !!
This was not possible with a model from a different manufacturer.
Highly recommended! Any time again!!

Problem that needs to be addressed
Very disappointed with this product, in the daylight I cannot see the display screen because it is too dim so cannot use microwave during the daytime, also if display screen is viewed 10cm below the horizontal same problem I cannot see the display screen. It is an obvious design flaw, I rang customer service and were not interested with my complaint and were dismissive of the design flaw

Miffed about PanaBrisbane
2 weeks and H97 error
Microwave was fine for 2 weeks and did was it was supposed to. Light usage and two weeks later it's dead. Panasonic customer service was dreadful, would only say I had to drive it to service centre (90min round trip minimum) and I don't have a car. How is that acceptable? Do not want. Ever. Again.

Questions & Answers
Anna M.asked
If I put a bowl of food in to heat and then, once it is finished, put another bowl of food into heat, I cannot set the new time unless I press reset. This seems to occur if I am trying to use it again within 2 minutes of the last use. Is this how it is supposed to be? I can’t find anything about it in the manual.

Hi Anna, yes you will need to override the cool mode to cook something else.

Hi Does this microwave have a sound option that you can reduce or turn off sounds?

Hi Craig, apologies it does not.

How do you add 2 seconds to the 10 second timing. 12 seconds makes the turntable turn one complete turn bringing a handle back to the front
1 answer
short answer - you can't! You can only add time in multiples of 10 seconds. Crazy, I know! Add that to the many basic features missing in this microwave.

Hi our new microwave keeps turning itself off!
You need to in plug it and give it s few seconds plug it in and it works again?

If you mean that the light in the top right goes out it may be a faulty unit = warranty claim.
If it does have a light but it won't react to any keypad inputs, try pushing the Stop/Reset pad and try again. This works for me.
Hi I spoke to Harvey Norman who confirmed it was a faulty unit!
They have taken it to send away for warranty as it’s 2 weeks old!!
