Disappointing Service
We are a regional IT service provider and recently April 2020, contacted Payam Data Recovery for a service in relation to data recovery from a damaged Seagate desktop hard drive for one of our clients.
As per their policy, we sent the drive for inspection and assessment and we were advised all is OK and we paid $250 for the assessment and quote for the data recovery. They provided a quotation and we, after consulting with our client, agreed with quotation to go ahead.
After over two weeks waiting we got a response from PDR that Data is Not ...Read more

Recovery after hard drive manufacturer essentially gave up
Accessing the disk responded with “Error”. I opened a ticket with the disk manufacturer’s tech support, and was told to run a utility that “could take up to 3 hours”. It was still running 20 hours later! I rang Payam, and spoke to Keith. He’s on the technical staff, and exuded a calm, confident, professionalism.
I opted for the standard service, but got an email saying the job was complete after only a few days. Fortunately, almost everything on the disk was recovered.
Thanks Keith for an excellent job. A pleasure to award 5 stars.

Stole iPad + overcharged + less than 10% recover - AVOID
Horrible experience- they stole my iPad saying that can’t find it, charged $650 but when I opened the first - only few photos.
Naturally, they became very difficult to communicate after stealing iPad and money.
Apple rep said they are known SCAM
Avoid - I suspect all the good reviews are not real

very professional from start to finish
I fried my hard drive by plugging in the incorrect power source. Devastated as I was I gave Payam a call and was told the price of recovery which initially shocked me, but then I started thinking if I get back the thousands of videos and tens of thousands of photos that it was definitely worth doing.
Payam staff were very professional from start to finish and when they called me to say that they had recovered 100% of my data I was over the moon. I would recommend them to anyone and told them I would write a review as I was very impressed with their service

I am so upset Payam hard drive recovery company used Sendle to deliver hard drives -- I found out that sendle use courier please to send parcels out. Due to that reason, I have now lost my HARD DRIVE which I have been worrying months on end for ages but due to this lost I am now experiencing high anxiety and stress due to this major mistake!!! My hard drive was sent to a randoms house and it was signed by a random man named Brendan. I am still trying to figure out where the hell it went cos this hard drive it very important to me!!!!!

better solution for you. I personally reached out to their CEO and Co-founder recently to complain about this and also ask for them to find a way to speak directly with the local driver in your area, to ask them if they can recall this parcel and the person who signed for it, I asked if they keep any video footage/dashcam to recall.etc. They are still checking and searching, we have not given up either. To be fair, Sendle should get bad review, not us. When this happened, we did provide you with a full refund for our work + a free gift which we delivered to you, your hard drive in the box is dead/cannot be recovered and is not a security risk at all for your privacy. I can understand this must be really upsetting, I get things like this happen all the time when getting personal deliveries to my home, courier who say they tried to deliver and never came to the door, parcels that left someplace and signed for by a mystery person, but I can never find it..and spend hours trying to get a refund/find the parcel. It's so hard to find a good courier company, we have used Australia post, Startrack, TNT, Couriers Please, Fastway, Toll and many others - we found Sendle was low cost (as we don't charge you for the delivery, we pay for it so you don't have to) and their emails with notifications and tracking was modern and customer focussed. I have told Sendle, if they don't find this missing parcel - we will not do any further business with them, we pay them a lot each month and send over 200 parcels per month with them. I'm on your side, here to help you in any way I can. But please re-consider this bad review online under Payam Data Recovery's name - we have been good and fair to you as much as we could. Please leave the bad review for Sendle, not us please. In the mean time, please check with your next door neughbours on the left/right of your home to see if they signed for the parcel. Sometimes Fastway who delivers for Sendle may also leave it at your nearest newsagent or 7/11 with a parcel locker - I'm checking these for you too. Still working on it for you.PayamPayam Data Recovery

One of our staff members drove to the clients home/address, asked the neighbours next to them about the lost parcel to see if they received it by accident, also drove 150Kms to the same street addresss but a different suburb we believed the courier may have mistakenly delivered to, it was also not there. We left notes on the doors of all these possible wrong address the courier may have delivered to. I contacted the CEO of Sendle myself via LinkedIn to ask for their help, they tried to help - but their contractor, couriers please said it was delivered, but we could never find it. As a result, we closed our account with Sendle and will NOT ever send parcels to our clients using Sendle or Couriers please again. We do not want to risk anything being lost by them again. Also - another parcel we sent you Australia post the same time came back return to sender back to us, something strange going on here with this address and delivery people. We also gave you a full refund + as promised, we have stopped using Sendle as our courier provider, we used to use sendle to send out about 20 parcels per day and we have not stopped using them, as a business we never want any customers parcel to ever get lost ever again. I also made several complaints to Sendle's customer service, and contacted their CEO/founder personally top inform them of this. We had another lost parcel from them about 1 week after yours, but in that case - it was actually left by sendle at a local newsagent for collection, it was collected - very unusual!Similar opinion? PAYAM is first class for professionalism, communication, rapid service and most importantly data recovery.
Bought an 6 TB external hard drive from another company and after loading all my photos (1 TB) into this drive, it crashed. I had no time to backup as it crashed within 2 weeks of purchase.
Within one week, thanks to PAYAM, I had all my photos back. I am so grateful to this company and the cost was fair.

Urgent Data Recovery done and dusted
Contacted the team about recovery of data from a failed RAID Array, extremely helpdul over the phone.
Organsied Airfreight to have the drives shipped from interstate, they were straight onto the recovery. Let me know at avery step what was happening and where the recovery process was up to. We purchased two drives for the recovered data to be sent back which had to be done in a few hours as we had organised pickup and next flight return of the data. Extremely helpful, nothing was too hard even with our specific freight & time constraints. Cannot recommend the team and service highly enough.

Excessively expensive
$1500-$3500 to recover data off a HD for a standard head failure is excessive! The pricing is disproportionate to the work involved, try elsewhere before they extort you for your data back.

hard drive - on average 20-30 hours of labour and about $300 worth of donor heads/parts. $1500 is for our Economy service of our most difficult problem (i.e internal damage) but often many of our clients only pay $275-$550 for the most common problems we see. $3500 is our Emergency service rate, when our staff do this same problem working 24 hours a day, 7 days per week - often requiring 3-4 days of 24/hour per day work. We are always honest, give a free quote and give do a professional job with the best chance of getting your data back that ANYBODY can ever off you. You do get what you pay for, people who are too cheap are generally one man operations without a clean room environment, do not know how to do this type of work carefully without risk of further damage and will simply tell you that your data is not recoverable, when we probably would have got it back for you! Also - we do offer 12 month payment plans, what we do is very specialised and it's worth the cost for about 80% of our clients, for some others - the cost is simply not worth it, we never pressure sell any clients, either you can justify the cost for your data, or you cannot. But we only charge what we need to, in order to stay in businss and offer the best service available in Australia in our field. Just like a great Doctor is worth the money, a great data recovery expert is actually very cheap if you compare our hourly rate for our work compared to other tradespeople (e.g our cost is about 1/3rd the cost of a handyman for the amount of hours we put in and the amount of expertise and tools we need to do our work). If you would like our help, give us a try! We would love to help you.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Total Recovery 15 years of photos
My thanks to Kane at Payam, Brisbane who recovered 15 years of photos, plus all other data (which I had never backed up) when my MacBook Air totally died. Amazingly, Payam offer free quotes. My then fear that this quote would be unaffordable for such a small job from an obviously very professional business, was completely unfounded. Within 2 days I had an external hard-drive containing all my data. I wholeheartedly recommend this company.

No data recovered
No complaints about the service or speed of action with Payam, just be aware that for your $500 like me you may not get any data back. My external hard drive had a head crash that damaged the platters, not that unusual problem if you drop the hard drive. They are up front about the cost and risk that you will get no data back Anyway better that you know that it is a real possibility that your $500 will not result in any data.

and try to clean/polish the platters 4 times which took us over 30 hours of our time in our attempts to help you, which we only charged $500. In about 85% of cases like yours, we can recover all data - but in your case, it was one of the unlucky ones. There are 8 different faults we see with hard drives, for 7/8 of them, we have a 100% success rate, but for the internal damage with heads, there is no gaurantee - but most of the time we do get results.Similar opinion? No guarantees if you are the unlucky 1% like me!
No data received back at all. $500.00 down the drain plus postage of the device to them. No guarantees if you are the unlucky 1% like me. Owner of the company requested I remove my Facebook review of 2 stars. Now I understand why there is only such good feedback when you check reviews. If they truly only cannot retrieve data on 1% of devices then shouldn’t the company be willing to wear that 1% & offer a refund if no data is retrieved? On a plus the company did communicate well throughout the whole process. I was just unlucky & didn’t receive the desired outcome despite parting with $500.00.

ed to charge you for our time, efforts and spare parts as we do know there is no guarantee that the data can be recovered. The only way we can be sure is try to repair the hard drive and extract all the data from it before it fails again. We did state that the payment you made was for our time, labour and parts to 'attempt' to recover your data, it was made very clear in about 3 places in the quote and receipt we gave you that this was a non-refundable payment. The 2nd amount due in the quote (an additional $750) was not charged to you or asked as we could not get the files off your hard drive due to severe damage to the disk platters. The reason we charge this fee is that when other companies may simply look at the damage and give up, we clean platters, treat them with chemicals and try to replace the heads, turning off particular heads, cutting some off sometimes and trying to even get a partial clone. This process took us about 20 hours of our time for you and we killed 2 sets of spare parts at a cost of about $100 US per drive. We in fact made a financial loss in the attempt to help you.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Ive never backed the phone up before on iTunes and I dont have iCloud .. could you help me?
1 answer
PayamPayam Data Recovery
Hi Nikita, I'm so sorry this happened to you, I'm sorry but due to security measures on iPhones, we have no way to unlock/remove the disable lock on any new model iPhones - we used to be able to do it on the older iPhones (e.g iPhone 4) but nothing newer. This is the only company we know who can do it, but they only do this for police/law enforcement agencies. We use their tools but no private company can use this part of their tools.

Hi this is just me being too anxious though I have submitted my iPhone 8+ to Payam. I am in no hurry to get it done, but the waiting is just draining me mentally of not knowing whether my photos could be recover or not.
So my case is that my iPhone 8+ shows the iTunes logo with cable on the screen. Tried to update it both on Mac and Windows and trying to find compatible software, it just could not work. It shows error 14 and probably its because my phone got no more memory (though, i already cleared up some space). I am just asking whether there is still a hope in this case, although after downloading the IPSW for the updates on iTunes, it still said you must reset it to factory setting, in which I do not want bcs it will erase all my data.
Please help me and take your time to help me recover my photos.
